Cory
Something worse than what happened with Lynx is the realization that Frankie had heard EVERYTHING. He doesn’t know what to think, wondering if Frankie had told Taylor anything which would end up blowing up in his face and it would really be a mess.
Taylor hasn’t said anything though, so it makes Cory wonder what has even been said. Frankie is perched in one of the booths, paperwork laid out in front of him, and he has a laptop as well. On some of the papers, he notices Lynx’s name on there and it makes him wonder what is going to end up happening.
“Frankie told me that it seems like the owner has taken a special interest in you.” Taylor murmurs, making Cory stiffen because he has no idea what is going to end up happening next, “I don’t know if it is a good idea for you to keep working at the Underground. It is dangerous.”
Frankie’s eyes meet Cory’s, and it is like he is looking straight into Cory’s soul. Something tells Cory that Frankie didn’t tell Taylor all of it thankfully, but it is still embarrassing for Frankie to hear what had happened to him.
It's crazy, Cory knew that.
Cory was aching for a lot more, to try to get to Judas before it ends up being an even bigger mess. Nothing is going right for him, and he knows that if he quits working there, there is no way that he is going to get Judas back. It’s not going to matter what he ends up doing. It would just be a disaster in the making.
“You really don’t have to go along with this plan.” Frankie says, typing away on his computer, “it might take a little more time, but we can figure out another way to get your brother back. You don’t have to get into the crossfires of what that bastard might end up doing to you since he has given you special attention. No one wants to be there because they would end up getting hurt.”
Taylor nods his head in agreement.
Cory knows that they are right, but he also knows that he made a promise and if goes back on his word, then there is no way that Judas would be protected. A lot more would end up coming from it and it terrifies Cory to think that if he does anything, Judas would be in danger and Cory would no longer be able to protect him.
“I need to keep doing this.” Cory murmurs, rising to his feet as he hears the bell of the door going off, “if I back down, then there’s no way that Judas will be protected. I don’t want to worry about myself right now because I have no idea what is happening to my brother. I can handle this.”
Cory turns around, about to put on his best customer-service smile but he freezes when he sees who has walked through the door.
Dressed head-to-toe in black, a long trench coat that fits him perfectly is Lynx. Lynx has his hands in his pockets, looking around curiously like this is something that he has never seen before. Maybe he has never pictured being at the attention of anyone like this. When Lynx’s eyes meet Cory’s, a weird light appears on Lynx’s face, and it makes Cory’s heart skip a beat.
“There you are.” Lynx murmurs, moving closer and Cory can’t help but notice how everyone’s attention is on him, like he knows that he is the beast that should be avoided, “I have been looking for you.”
Cory licks his bottom lip, fiddling with his apron a little bit because he knows how intimidating Lynx is, “what are you doing here? This is my other job; I don’t want you bothering me here.”
A predatory smile spreads across Lynx’s face, and he slips one of his hands out of his pocket, reaching out for Cory. Cory isn’t sure what is going to end up happening until Lynx ends up grabbing his ass, making Cory jump in the process. It is still a little sore from the spanking he had received and it’s like Lynx is trying to remind him of everything that had just happened between them.
“How is your butt?” Lynx asks him, a smirk on his face now, “I was disappointed that you wouldn’t let me rub any numbing cream on it. It would have helped you a lot more.”
Cory exhales slowly, tempted to punch Lynx but he is worried about the repercussions of what might happen to him, “can you please stop touching my butt? We’re not at the Underground right now.”
Surprisingly, Lynx does let go of Cory’s butt but instead, he brushes a lock of Cory’s hair behind his ear. Cory doesn’t know how to handle the gentle touch, like he means something to Lynx when there is no way that it would even be possible. Why is Lynx treating Cory like they have some kind of relationship? It doesn’t make any sense right now and it is making Cory feel more nervous.
“I guess I will see you tonight then.” Lynx murmurs, lightly brushing his fingers against Cory’s cheek.
Before Cory can say anything else, Lynx is already turning away and walking out of the café. Cory is just left there, stunned because he didn’t expect anything else to happen like this. It’s like Lynx showed up specifically to see Cory and leave quite quickly afterwards. Cory isn’t sure what he is going to do but Frankie grabs Cory’s wrist and yanks him over to the table.
“You have to be extra careful with that man, Cory.” Frankie murmurs, showing Cory photos of what Lynx Romanov has done, “he is a part of the Mafia, a cold-blooded killer and being a part of his life is just going to end up getting you killed. I don’t think this is a good idea.”
Cory looks over the photos, seeing the aftermath of fires, death, and destruction. Cory really has no idea why Frankie is showing him this because it seems like something only the police should be able to see.
Cory has already figured out what kind of person Lynx Romanov is, a dangerous man who could easily do whatever he pleases. Lynx makes Cory a little weak in the knees, like he is planning to take everything over and he is holding nothing back either. Cory knows that he has to get through this, and it seems like Lynx is going to be the person that he is going to have to use to get there.
Hopefully, at least.
Cory thought that the outfits couldn’t get any worse at the Underground, but it seems like he was mistaken. He is embarrassed at this point, wishing there’s a lot more that he is going to end up doing because it terrifies him that he is so exposed, and he is going to end up getting in a lot of trouble. If someone gropes him tonight, he has to refrain from punching them because it seems like he would end up being punished by Lynx again.
His heart can’t handle that right now.
Not with everything that is happening already.
It is just terrifying, and he knows there’s only so much that he is going to be able to do with it.
This outfit is much more revealing, that is very clear at this moment. The thin fabric of the shirt shows off his nipples, much to what he never wants anyone to see but it’s not like he has much of a choice. And the booty shorts that he wears easily shows off the bulge of his crotch with just a piece of fabric between his asscheeks that protects him from the whole world seeing.
He doesn’t dare to bend over because he knows it would be an ugly sight.
This time, he is working in the game room, and it is a little different. He brings drinks like usual but some of the men and women perch themselves in the laps of some of the people gambling and hang out there for hours on end. Cory is glad that nobody has approached him to make them sit in his lap, but he has noticed that a few are drooling over him but won’t come close. It doesn’t make sense to Cory because he isn’t doing anything but maybe word got around about him breaking someone’s nose.
Cory was okay with that because he didn’t want to be on anyone’s lap, and he would prefer to just keep his distance and serve drinks. It’s kind of an odd feeling, that much Cory has noticed so far. He knows he is being watched but he doesn’t know who is looking at him instead. It is making him a little sick to his stomach because he doesn’t want to be messing with anyone.
It's a terrifying experience if he is being completely honest.
“It looks like you managed to survive until now.” Vex murmurs at the bar, looking Cory up and down, “I don’t know why the Boss is even tempted by you, but you better consider yourself lucky. He’s not one to give second chances.”
Cory doesn’t care so much, just wishing that everyone would leave him alone and he wouldn’t have to worry about anything else. It is not his fault that this has happened, he is just trying to get through the month without having to worry about anything else.
He isn’t going to let Vex’s words get to him. It’s not worth getting angry over because he already knows that there’s just not much he’s going to be able to do with it. It just means that he is going to go a completely different direction and he is sure that he is going to be at Lynx’s mercy.
He won’t go down without a fight though.
“Go to poker table number three, you have a patron waiting for you.” Vex suddenly tells Cory, making Cory wish that he could just run away and not even think about who is going to be there, “and don’t even think about breaking anyone’s nose. I will deal with you myself.”
Cory is one hundred percent certain that Vex is not lying and he would do whatever it takes to put Cory in his place. Cory hates being threatened but he just clenches his jaw and bites his tongue because he is not going to let Vex get to him and then really have a reason to attack him. He knows that Vex is disappointed that Lynx didn’t punish him more than he did but honestly, Cory probably would have preferred something other than just a swat on the behind. It was really embarrassing, that much was clear.
Who knew what was going to end up coming from it, that much Cory was trying to figure out before it became too late to do so.
Cory just wishes that this month would hurry and be done with.
As Cory makes his way over to the right table, he nearly comes to a dead stop when he realizes that Lynx is sitting there, sitting on a glass of whiskey and a cigar dangling from his lips as he is reading his cards. He is utter perfection, that much Cory has already realized.
As Cory moves closer, the people playing with Lynx immediately look at him, like they are trying to figure out what they are going to end up doing to him. It scares Cory a little bit because he knows they are dangerous men who are playing with Lynx, and this could really end up screwing everything he has been working towards.
He doesn’t know what is going to come from it, but he does know that he is trying to do everything in his power to not seem afraid. He has to play the cards right or he is going to end up getting screwed and there really will be nothing that Cory can handle. Something tells him that Lynx would end up doing something that might really mess Cory up and then it would be out of control.
Lynx looks up and it really does something to Cory when he sees how his gaze practically pins Cory where he stood. It was a little terrifying because Cory has no idea how someone like that can captivate him the way that Lynx does, and they barely even know each other. Cory is trying to do the right thing, but he doesn’t know what Lynx wants from him. Maybe the best thing to do is to ask.
Maybe this will be the only way to do it.
Something more is going to come from it.
“Well, what are you waiting for?” Lynx asks in a teasing tone, making Cory stiffen up because he isn’t sure what he is supposed to be doing, “sit.”
Cory’s lips part with surprise because he didn’t think that this is what he is supposed to do but now he remembers what the others like him were doing. Clearing his throat, he quietly moves closer and sits down in Lynx’s lap, seeing how Lynx’s arms go on either side of him and gripping the cards, giving Cory a view of everything. Lynx’s breath feathers on the back of Cory’s neck, making Cory shiver because he didn’t expect something like this to happen.
It’s a little nerve-wracking because he has no clue what is going to come from it.
Or even if they are going to be fine.
What is the right way to do this?
“Do you know how to play?” Lynx asks Cory softly, just letting Cory rest his back against Lynx’s chest because it was more comfortable, “it wasn’t in your records.”
“A little.” Cory murmurs, seeing how Lynx is handing him the cards, “I can’t say that I know one hundred percent what I’m doing.”
“You hold the cards for me, I will guide you through it.” Lynx assures Cory, nearly making Cory jump clear out of his skin when Lynx places his hands on Cory’s bare thighs, just keeping them there, “I will make you the best.”
Cory doesn’t care about being the best, but he is just trying to get through this. He isn’t entirely certain what is going to come from it, but Lynx is telling him what to do, whispering in his ear and making Cory’s body shiver with goosebumps. It’s like Lynx knows precisely what he is doing, moving his hands up Cory’s thighs, touching him in the most sensitive of places. Cory’s body is not listening to him, and he hates it.
He hates not being in control.
“You’re doing good.” Lynx compliments him, seeing how Cory is actually beating the people around him without even trying or needing that much help from Lynx, “once the month is over, I might have to make you work for me undercover and play the tables. You’re a natural at this.”
Embarrassingly enough, Lynx’s touch is doing something to Cory and is making him incredibly hard. It isn’t so easy to focus, shifting his weight and trying to relieve the tension in his shorts that feels like it could explode at any moment. It is driving Cory crazy, making him want to do as he pleases.
Lynx seems to be enjoying it as well, loving to make a mess of Cory in his lap and not let him get far. It’s like he is trying to torture him and hold nothing back. Cory isn’t going to show it though, not wanting to let Lynx see what he is doing to him. Cory isn’t going to let Lynx win this time, that is what Cory is telling himself.
On the final hand, Cory thought that he wasn’t going to get through it, but he should have realized it wasn’t going to happen like that. Fear wells inside of Cory because he has no idea what Lynx might do to him, but he feels like he’s not going to be able to hold back for much longer.
He is just trying to get through this and not go crazy in the process. The minute he lays down the winning hand, Lynx lets go of him and Cory is immediately on his face, running out of there before he ends up going crazy on Lynx’s lap.
He knew it could get him in trouble, but he didn’t care so much at this point. He just had to get away before it was too late, that much was pretty clear to him right now. Lynx would no longer have the control because if he did, then Cory would not be able to do anything else. That much is clear and there’s nothing more for Cory to do about it.
Hopefully with time, Cory will just be able to get the hell out of there before it is too late.
