I groaned aloud after hearing the voice of the Hero of Light. Opening my eyes, I first noticed the armored knight standing before me with his broken blade in hand.
"You are a strange fellow..."
"What do you mean?"
"I believe you have stated before that you wanted to die. Why did you not let the goblin kill you?"
"...I want death to earn me. I have no intention of just letting the world take my life."
"I see...you are fighting to live but also fighting to die. You are a man of contradictions, Baxter Ale."
"Maybe so but that's just who I am."
"I understand... then I shall give you the demise that you deserve!"
Philip took his battle stance and his intimidating aura erupted through his body, filling the room. I felt like I was suffocating and I lost all strength in my legs as I fell over.
"D-dammit..."
"I will be your nightmare, Baxter Ale!"
The Hero of Light declared in a booming voice that sounded far from being human. It resembled a monster that had the potential to end the world.
"Until you lose the will to live until the universe finally absorbs you in its darkness, I will appear in your dreams every night and make you suffer in despair so righteously deserved! I swear on God in his Heavenly Throne and the angels that serve him!!!"
I wanted to speak but before I could my head was separated from my shoulders. There was no pain and no blood. My head rolled on the ground and the heavy metal boot of the Hero of Light pressed against my cheek. He slowly began to put his weight onto my head, crushing me like a grape.
"An endless nightmare...maybe that's what I deserve..."
"Of course it is!"
I let out a single tear while I looked up at my hero.
"Then maybe from now on...I will never sleep again..."
Thousands of years ago in the Realm of Ocaleveth, the Demon King Ira had waged war against all living beings. Chosen by the Council of Chronos Philip: The Hero of Light used the power of the Holy Sword to seal away the monster and bring peace to the world. But the thousand-year-old seal was undone and the Demon King has returned to Ocaleveth. I bet you're probably wondering who is responsible. Well...that person was me...
