Cassandra gets down on
her knees to try and clean
the mess I've made with
her hands.
"I'm afraid I can't tell
you. It's an oath I've
made with Ronin."
I lay back in bed,
staring up at the
ceiling.
Who's Ronin?
The name sounds
a bit familiar.
"Cassandra, why are
you keeping secrets
from me?"
I asked in a sharp tone of
voice.
This question came
out of nowhere.
It's almost as if I'm talking
unwillingly.
"Cassandra, I won't tell.
Please just give me
a hint."
I beg.
As I glance at her,
Cassandra stands up with
the tray of neglected food,
a broken plate and multiple
shards of glass.
Her eyes are super
glassy.
She parts her lips
slightly yet no words
come out.
It's almost as if she
wants to tell me
something.
"We don't know each
other so please, don't
request something so
highly from me."
Cassandra looks emotionally
distressed.
That's a sign right there
isn't it?
She's hiding something.
