10 years later, the kingdom of Lucianna was attacked by the king of the Narayana kingdom.
"General! The battalion is here, what's your command!"
"Capture Leo and bring him to the king!"
The battalion shouted "Sir yes Sir!"
"You need to go Kael go with your mother!" Leo ordered me as he prepared his armor and his sword.
"Here's the plan, okay? I'm going to distract them and you and your mother will leave this village without looking back.
"But fathe..." my words were cut short by my father's sudden order to us, "Now!"
I nodded my head at my father's command and looked at my mother who was also worried about her husband.
"Xena please take care of yourself and Kael..." Leo opened the door and shouted "I'm here Burge! Catch me up if you can defeat me!"
Burge turned his head from where the shout came from at the shout he heard. "There you are Leo the fraud."
Soon Leo arrived wearing his armor and holding his golden sword that the king had given him. Burge grinned when he saw Leo and laughed. Whispering to one of his assistants and ordered his battalion to stop and he would want to fight Leo alone.
But someone stopped him "But Genera...." What he was saying didn't go on because Burge immediately cut off his head with his flaming sword. The battalion backed off when they saw the severed head of their comrade already on the ground.
Burge confronts Leo, the former General he replaced and intends to kill him.
"Well, well, well... Look what we have here. Leo the great or should I say Leo the fraud?..." Burge laughed at what he said.
"There is only one fraud here and that is you Burge!" Leo shouted at Burge while holding the sword handle with both hands aimed at him. I will save my wife and son no matter what will happen Leo said to his thoughts.
Burge unsheathed his sword thus revealing a sword encased in fire. Burge being the man that he is, he unleashes the first strike to Leo. But Leo immediately blocked it and said "You will need to eat more rice to defeat me!"
Burge's eyebrows furrowed and his ears burned at Leo's words. Burge immediately unleashed three powerful strikes. But Leo dodged it all and began striking back at Burge.
The strikes successfully landed on Burge's face, leaving small cuts with blood flowing. "Consider yourself lucky, because I didn't aim at your neck properly" Leo said with a murderous face.
"Fuck you old man! You're worthless now. Fuck you and your old beheaded king!" Burge laughed mocking Leo. Burge seems to be losing himself.
Leo's eyebrows lowered, knitted together, eyes turning red and a steam leaving out of his ears. Leo raised his hand preparing to slice Burge in half.
An ear-piercing scream filled with terror rang across the entire village. Birds flying across the sky that seemed to be disordered by the scream.
Leo turned his head hearing the scream, "Xena! Kael!" Leo spoke after hearing his wife's scream. All a sudden blood came out of Leo's mouth, feeling the hot iron poking into his chest.
"Got you now." Burge said suddenly, while suppressing his laughter. Still, holding the sword he stabbed Leo with. Burge pulled out the sword impaled on Leo. As Leo fell before his death he spoke his last words. "Go to hell Burg..."
Alas, Burge has won the fight using his sharp strategy. After their fight, Burge took Leo's golden sword and said it was his sword now.
"Sodiers!! We've claimed this victory!" Burge celebrated his victory, and ordered his battalion to take him to Leo's Wife and child.
"Stay close to me, Kael" she said, her voice firm but calm. I looked up at my mother, who was trying to stay brave. The soldiers closed in, their presence menacing, leaving us with nowhere to run. One of the soldiers grabbed Xena roughly by the arm.
"No! Let go of my mom you bastard!" I started crying, tears streaming down at my face face.
Xena struggled against the soldier's grip, her eyes filled with desperation to let go of the grip to run with her son. "Run, Kael! Find help!" she shouted, but the soldiers were too quick.
As they dragged her away, Xena screamed, "No!" The sound was ear-piercing, filled with anguish and fear.
I stood frozen, my mother rumbling through the forest as I watched my mother disappear into the trees. But, as her shouts faded into the trees, a tremendous power welled up within me. Wiping away my tears, I steeled myself and began to follow the soldiers at a safe distance, remaining hidden in the brush.
After what felt like an eternity, I reached a small clearing where the soldiers had set up camp. I watched from behind a thick tree as they tied my mother to a sturdy post. Her wrists were bound tightly, and she looked around frantically, her eyes searching for any sign of Kael.
"Don't move, little boy..." a gruff voice whispered behind me, the breath hot against my ear.
