As the world was known, there existed three elements that could destroy the life as we know of. These elements were wood, dirt and water.
"Yahahaa!"
Exclaimed (?) joyfuly, sliding on the cloth roof taverns with his wooden plank board, jumping up and down with high speed.
"Tami, come on, faster, faster (chuckles)"
My name is Don and my little sister was Tami, we live in a village near Bando County and we get day by day by making magic shows with our power to other strangers from around, but there are times where we do what we call "Sharing".
I only have Tami and Tami only has me and this is what bonds us together even more, because it's us versus the others, the world.
We were sharing food from the butcher, sharing fruits from other taverns and small outside shops, sharing clothes from the street sellers and bread from the bakery.
Basically anything that we could catch in our hands. I did the sharing mainly, Tami only held my back as I did the it. I never let Tami share too, because it was really dangerous if you were caught.
With the part that we "shared" from the rest, we split it with the other orphan kids from out own home.
We had a big community there, in an iron-walled old deposit with a few windows that were covered with old plastic sheets.
We often used our powers to share, but not everytime, only when it was necesary, with only one rule that we use every single time. We don't use the powers to hurt others.
"Don, you're back already?"
"We got a hault, look at this, Hosa"
"OHoooo, what a catch, prince, well done"
"What can I say, I do what I can (chuckles)"
We lived our days in comfort, some of the days, but this day, was the most thing that we feared... a raid.
"RAID, EVERYONE HIDE!"
The agitation, the screams, the panick, it was all there in the raid. The fear of being caught and thrown into an home with adults, ordering anything they wanted, something that Don would die before experiencing it.
There were tons of masked man outside the deposit with a large wood log that they prepared to barge in with.
Loud thuds after loud thuds. We knew that the large doors and the lock wouldn't hold that much, so we prepared to evacuate everyone.
Exactly two minutes after, the thick, three meter doors fell down on the ground, creating a wall of dust that covered everything in sight.
"Seize everyone and send them back to review the payment with Manna, we can't lose this kind of profit"
Said the chief staff of the operation with ten medals in on his chest, in brown uniform and black leather boots.
As he smiled at the wide open entrance of the deposit, different size and height masked people barged in with elastic bats in their hands, running in every direction and checking every corner.
Don created a thick and tall wall made out of the dirt from the ground, with the use of a gesture of his hands and a word that come out of his mouth, trying to keep them out as much as he could.
Luckily, the wall has stopped all of them from getting in, but it wasn't thick enough, one fist punch would break a hole right through it.
"It's him, the freak, he created a wall out of dirt, DIG DIG DI-!"
Screamed a muffled voice from the other side of the wall.
"Burn the whole place down"
Said the chief head , doing a gesture of his hands that he lunged around the cold space with different items scattered around, showing Don's and the other's beds, food and wooden scultures that they shared.
The chief head took the other way, towards the back, with one of Don's friends leading the way.
"I'm glad you are here, Derek, you are of a great help in exorcizing these devils, you were once one of them, right?"
"Indeed I was... sir!"
"But why did you leave?"
"I had to--"
He was interrupted by a loud scream.
"NOOO!"
There was a loud thud that was heard inside the building, almost like the sound of a hand gun.
"What have you done?!"
Asked Don, with his grunting and cold eyes, wiggling around while being held down by 3 masked men in place, like he was an criminal or something like that.
Don and Tami were the biggest from the deposit, but Don still felt that he let down anyone, but his biggest dissapointment was that he couldn't save Tami from being shot and killed.
"She probably wanted to do somehing devilish, well done, soldier, you got one devil brother, go back to the base for your promotion bage"
As they talked, Don was near them, watching from the shadows, he just remembered Tami's smile in his head, how innocent she was, but still, while she had nothing to do with anything, he was the one from behind the shadow, he knew it was his fault.
As he clenched his fist and tried to use his power, to cage everyone there in a cage of wood, to get burned down at the same time as the barn, or drown them into water, he didn't know which one to choose from.
"GO TO HE--!"
His anger was stopped by a splash of sugary water that Derek quickly poured on him.
"My powers... my powe---.."
Don fainted, along with his powers.
"Well done, Derek, knowing that sweet water would neutralize his powers"
Derek nodded respectfully towards the chief head staff.
The barn was burning quicker and quicker, with small flickers of flame, floating all around the place and wood planks creaking and breaking down in thuds.
The cold stare of the general, unbothered by the situation, almost like he didn't care about nobody else than him.
"We have to take some tests on the boy"
Said the general as he closed the door of the emergency place and enjoying the fire show of the barn
He looked back for a moment, a moment to memorize his actions, a moment of peace in his heart, a moment to chuckle.
Don and Tami were two orphans who were "sharing" goods and food from adults and took them to the other orphans from their group. One day, a raid come that ended their joyful and good way of living.
Be prepared for a special ride in the medieval plains, an intense horror frog festival, but what about the world of cyberpunk 2088 where plants are more expensive than diamonds and gold?
