Several Years ago
Quinn Craxilver was the only child of Vedeli Craxilver. Vedeli left his country Italy and went to the USA in Montana when Quinn was only 16, a teenager, all over the place and sturborn. Quinn was the spitting image of his father and as he grew older he looked just like him.
Vedeli was a butler in the house of George Clement, and that is where he raised Quinn from. George was so fond of Quinn, that he considered him a son. George had a son Silver and a daughter Lisa.
His son always caused trouble that he always told him “why don’t you act Like Quinn?” This caused Silver to hate Quinn so much, he always competed with Quinn, but Quinn was not phased at all. He kept his life sacred just like his father always advised him.
They grew up together but with different character and behaviours. When Quinn turned 25 years, he decided to move out of the care of George. He had been educated well enough to take care of himself.
He got a job at a small engineering company and started working with the help of George who could not let him go without a start-up. He worked, got friends including his friend from campus and started living his own life under his own rules.
He left his father behind since George adored him so much. His moving out did not stop Silver from causing him trouble. Silver had gangs that he moved with and they always left Quinn wounded when they found him.
One day when his was getting of work, he was moving with his college friend Ramos. Ramos was moving to Chicago to go and start up his own architect and wanted Quinn to come with him.
As they headed down the street to where Quinn stayed, Silver appeared with his gang. Thankfully Ramos was with him. Since they were outnumbered they just took a run for it.
They run down the streets of Montana as Ramos signalled Quinn to follow him. They rundown 5 blocks from where Quinn lived and finally Ramos stopped and turned with a smirk on his face looking at the guys chasing them.
They stood looking at them. Quinn was out of breath but kept behind Ramos. Ramos was tall 6.0, confident and young. As young as he was he looked like trouble and he loved it when trouble found it.
As they come to a stand silver came out laughing maniacally running his hand through his black hair. He looked from Ramos to Quinn and from Quinn to Ramos and finally to Quinn, who was behind Ramos.
“I see you have gotten yourself a body guard Quinn” he stated pointing at Ramos with a metallic stick. Ramos laughed at the statement like he was scared of nothing in this world.
“and I see you got yourself some goons shit pants” Ramos stated while laughing out and Quinn joined him.
“I warned you never to call me that Ramos” Silver warned through clenched teeth, anger rising.
“I also warned you to stay away from Quinn, but you never listen, so let’s settle this once and for all.” Silver burst out laughing his stomach out, like it’s the funniest thing he has ever heard in his life.
“can’t you see you are outnumbered. There is no running away like birds, am ending you all today.” He said raising his hand ordering the goons to attack.
Before they could attack, people with bats and metals started coming out of the dark and surrounding Silver with his gang men. Silver grumbled with anger and frustration and moved forward to attack Ramos.
Ramos was a good fighter, beating up Silver into crap was so simple, that he was on the ground before the major fight had even began. The gang he had however was so good they fought with the men that appeared to be Ramos’ men.
Quinn stayed behind watching because he could fight or do anything but looked on. His father told him he looked like him but his body was like his mother’s, his brains worked better than his fists.
Ramos fought with a smile, like this was the highlight of the day, until his head was hit with a metallic stick. He fell down but Quinn came running to his rescue while shouting at him.
“I always tell you that you are not bullet proof or wound proof but you don’t listen” he complained while pulling Ramos to the side of the Road. He was bleeding and the person who had done the assault came following them slowly taking his time.
“I thought you would not bleed Ramos, you always held yourself so high and might. But look at you, you bleed and I am not bleeding” Silver laughed like a mad man, so happy that he saw Ramos bleeding.
“I told you he wasn’t normal, something is wrong with his brain” Ramos started while staring at silver with disgust, as he leaned behind placing his head on Quinn.
“You should leave Silver, along with your gang, I called the cops” stated Quinn as he held Ramos in his hand, his head bleeding.
“ you think you can fool me just like you fool my father, because of you my father hates me.” Silver states pointing at Quinn.
“is that why you hate me so much. I moved out, but you still followed me, what do you want Silver”
“what I want is you gone. Am going to kill you and that my father, yours inclusive and I will be fine. But you go first, tonight you die” Silver states as he gets close them, Ramos losing cautiousness in Quinn’s hands.
Quinn shifts in concern to Ramos who is losing consciousness, forgetting Silver who is approaching to kill him. As silver raises the metal stick to pierce Quinn, a gun shot is fired.
“baaaaaaaaaaahhhhhh” silver stops and turns, a gun pointed at his head.
“drop it” a police office says
“Drop it, or I will be the last person you lay yours eyes one. Silver slowly drops the metal stick and gets on his knee. The police officers had arrived earlier and rounded off the other gang members, but because the three were a bit away from the scene, they did not hear the police arrive.
Another officer secures Silver and handcuffs him, an ambulance is brought and Ramos is taken to the hospital. The rest of them spend a night in the cell except for Quinn who was not found in the act.
His statement was taken and he headed straight to the hospital. Ramos was still unconscious but was not badly injured except for losing blood. As time passed he gained consciousness and laughed and he sat up on the bed.
Quinn rushed to adjust the bed to his sitting comfort. Quinn looked at Ramos in anguish, like he would kill Ramos at the moment.
“I have told you time and time again that you are n-----“
“not bullet proof or wound proof. I know I know” Ramos finished the words and sighed.
“am sorry you got hurt man” Quinn said while patting Ramos on the leg. Ramos raised a brow.
“if you are so sorry let’s go to Chicago together. You know you are the best at what am going to do. Come join me.”
“I already agreed on that but we were interrupted.” He says and busts into laughter and Ramos joins him. A nurse pushed the curtain open and frowned at them. Quinn held his laughter in with his mouth and Ramos did the same.
“Just because you seem fine doesn’t mean you are okay. You should rest more and avoid things that strain your head”
“yes ma’am” replied Ramos with a salute. The nurse smiled at the gesture and Ramos smiled too. The nursed raises her hand and hit Ramos in the chest with the chart.
“you said I shouldn’t strain myself” Ramos complained
“that is me hitting you as your friend now. What were you thinking?” Quinn finally let out the laughter he had held in and they laughed out. People in the room frowned at them. And they all held their hands on their lips to hold in the laughter.
“Ramos stop getting hurt, I won’t be attending to you every time you come bleeding.”
“Don’t worry Ece, you guys should give birth to a son, who will be my doctor, if she is a girl, she will be as nagging as you I don’t want her. I want a boy who will be just like Quinn.” Ramos teases as both and Quinn and Ece hit him hard.
“aaah , that hurts, am a patient remember. Besides you two are in sync, you are meant for each other.” They looked at each other shyly and Ramos signalled something to Quinn.
Quinn held Ece’s hand and lead her out of the hospital to talk to her. She was confused when she looked at Quinn’s face. He was hesitating to say what he wanted to say.
