“It has been one dramatic evening.” Daniella thinks to herself, as she stares at the ceiling of her room. It has been four hours since she got here. She had dinner with Olivia. She made her eat all kinds of food that were made and treated her like her long lost granddaughter had come home.

She will have the tour of the house tomorrow since it already late. A good sleep will do to help her. Nevertheless, with her tossing around in bed, one can say it will be hard to wake up in the morning.

With all the thinking, her eyes close and morning comes within a blink of an eye.

“Ella dear, we have a lot to do today. Get out of bed.”

“I only just slept grandma.”

 “Its morning sleepy head.” Olivia pulls the blanket away from Daniella. She is always hard to wake up but the blanket trick always works on her. 

Daniella kicks around but finally gets out of bed and walks towards the bathroom with sleep in her eyes. She hits the doorframe in the process.

 “Ahhhhhh,  this stupid door.” She curses behind her breath.

“Watch your steps Ella.” Says a hurrying Olivia who holds her and leads her to the bathroom.

“Get done in 10 minutes. Let’s go see your mum” Daniella wakes up at the mention of that. She turns on the shower and closes the door. Olivia sighs and she proceeds down.

“My little Ella, God strengthen you for me dear, when the time comes for you to know the truth, I pray your strong and ready to handle the truth.” Olivia mumbles to herself as she heads down the stairs to the dinning room.

“Let’s set the table for breakfast.”

“Yes ma’am” the house helps set the table in 5 minutes and Daniella heads down after 10 minutes.

 

After breakfast, they take her to her mother’s tomb stone. She does not cry this time around she instead smiles, at the sight of finally meeting her mother after 15 years. She places a flower on top and kisses her mother’s picture.

She signals Olivia, who leads her on the house tour. She tours the entire house and more.

Days go by and she gets used to the place. She goes to university and registers for her semester that commences in two weeks. She does all the necessary shopping and settles.

Olivia gets her a welcome gift, which is a bike. The bike belonged to Phillip her stepfather. She always loved bikes since Anton always used them and taught her how to ride them.

It’s the first day of the semester, she grabs quick breakfast and rides to campus. She already knows her schedule since she handled everything two weeks ago. She looks for her lecture room and heads into it. 

She is early for her class, second to arrive. She sits in the left corner at the back of the lecture room. she sits, places headphones on and listens to music.

She watches as people enter class since she has the best view in class. Class gets full and the lecture commences. 

30 minutes into the lecture, the lecture door opens, two guys and a babe, with long black silk hair enter. They move straight to her corner and ask Daniella to find another seat. She lifts her head, looks at them and goes back to listening to her lecture

 “This little bitch does not seem to understand.” The babe barks at her 

“Ms. Calmat and company, you are distracting my class. Either move out or settle down,” the lecturer states turning the full attention of the class to them.

“Lets head out Mary, class is full” the tallest of the two guys says as he looks at Daniella with his green eyes.

“This is not over bitch, see you after class” Mary says while pointing at Daniella, as they all leave the classroom, the babe cursing at her.

The class continues for at least an hour and half, and its dismissed. Daniella packs her bag and stands to get out, she is stopped by a hand and turns to look at the hand holding her and pulls away.

“Sorry, hi, am Desmond, is this your first year?”

“you can say that”

“well I guessed so, stay away from those bullies, they are complete trouble.”

“Ooh, I already guessed that.” Daniella laughs it off and sees a blonde approach them.

“Oh this is my girlfriend Andy.”

“hi, you really are new,” says Andy, while smiling at Daniella.

“Is it that obvious?” 

“No, but the way you responded to the devils show that your new.”

“That name sucks, they don’t look like devils, it’s just a bunch of stupid kids trying to show power they don’t have.” Daniella says that with a grin on her face which makes Andy and Desmond laugh out loud.

“You are funny,” 

“I am? That’s impossible I must say” Daniella replies while running her hand through her hair red kinky hair.

“I’ve never seen red kinky hair before. Is your hair tinted?” Andy asks while looking at Daniele’s hair. 

“Its--” Daniella is cut short with a loud bang on the door. They all turn around and it’s Mary and the guys from earlier.

 

“Look what we have here” says the other guy with dark hair and brown eyes

“Get lost Jacob” hisses Andy with a face full of spite

“Come on young princess, you should head home now, you will get hurt,” scoffs Jacob while getting closer to Andy.

“Don’t talk to her like that you piece of shit” Desmond shouts at Jacob and grabs him by the collar until they are on the same level, the two are of the same height and build.

 

“Just because you are dating Andy doesn’t make you invisible” the guy behind Jacob states and holds Desmond’s hand and signals him to releases Jacob with green eyes.

 “Tell your side kick to stay away from my woman and my friend Miles” says Desmond while pushing Jacob away.

“oooh my, so you have a new friend. That is new. You call that a friend” Mary Calmat laughs out with her eyes fixed on Daniella who is in no way concerned about the situation, one hand on her backpack and the other in her pocket, leaning on the wall behind her enjoying the show with a grin on her face.

“Shut it Mary, you know nothing about friends, you only need people you gain from, the likes of you three have no value for friendship at all. That is why your circle sucks.” Andy bursts out in Mary’s face and she turns to her boyfriend whose hand she holds and signals Daniella to head out with them.

As they head to the door, Jacob places his hand at the door before Daniella gets out.

“Not so fast newbie” says Jacob while turning to look at Daniella. She turns to look at him too with her brown eyes with no fear. Jacob steps a bit behind releasing his hand from the door. 

Miles watches Jacob’s movement and turns to look in Daniella’s direction who is not phased at all by this whole situation, he leans back on the chair behind him and crosses his hands in amusement.

“This is going to be fun” he mumbles to himself and smiles. With all the tension in the air, Mary rushes to pull Daniella’s backpack with intention to make her fall but she lets go of the backpack and Mary stumbles and falls down the stairs instead.

“Hahahahhah” everyone laughs out except for Daniella who stands still.

“You know, I really hate it when someone touches my stuff without permission” Daniella says that while turning to look at Mary who is at the floor. Daniella makes her way down the steps slowly.

Jacob makes his way to Miles whose eyes are fixed on Daniella’s every move.

“She has glittering eyes” whispers Jacob with his eyes fixed in Daniella heading towards Mary.

“What do you mean Jacob?”

“She has the same look your brother gives me when we cause trouble Miles or when he is really angry. Your brother always has glittering eyes when he is pissed off, extremely pissed” says Jacob, looking at Miles who in turn looks back at him and they both look at Daniella.

 

“This is getting more interesting,” says Miles with amusement with his eyes fixed on Daniella who is now close to Mary. She gets down at the same level with Mary and picks her backpack from Mary’s hands.

She turns, climbs back up, looks at Miles and Jacob who standing with smiles on their faces and finally at Mary whose eyes are throwing daggers at Daniella. She heads out of the lecture room and Desmond and Andy follow her.

“You will pay for this you bitch, you hear me, you will pay for this, aaaaahhhh” Mary shouts in anger and shame, as the door shuts close. Jacob pulls her into a standing position and she pushes him away.

“How could you let her go away, you should have done something.”

“We are not getting into trouble because of you again Mary, if Ray finds out, it will be the end of Miles and me. The last thing I want is to be on Ray’s bad side. He scares me more than my own parents did” say Jacob as he looks in the direction of the door where Daniella went through.

“If I were you Mary, I would stay away from that redhead; you are no match for her” says Miles looking at Mary.

“Not you too Miles, a low class like her cannot intimidate me, I will teach her a lesson myself, you two can fuck off.” With those words, Mary storms out. The guys just look on as she goes.

“Why do we even hang out with her?” asks Miles

“She just started wanting to go with us everywhere, yet we are not even friends.” Says Jacob while looking at Miles.

“I want to be friends with the redhead”

“Seriously Miles, all of a sudden.”

“Yes, I feel like we are going to be best of friends” Miles laughs it out as Jacob sighs and they also leave the lecture hall.
