Chapter 3:A day as always The next morning I woke up early to make sure I wouldn't be late for work this time.I opened the windows.I opened my closet looking for something good to wear and when I saw the light purple shirt with the buttons and the blue dark skirt with the belt I found my outfit for the day.I sat in front of my mirror and started to tangle my hair.As I finished making my hair I took a better look at my features looking at my blue eyes and brown curls.I knew I was getting older day by day.I took my necklace out from my shirt and touched it,the little silver moon which was hanging from the thin rope.Every time I saw that necklace I felt like I was protected,I could do everything.It was a very important necklace to me for some reason…I remembered when my mother told me that I was wearing it since the first day I was born.I smiled as I looked at it and then placed it inside my shirt again.Then I turned my head and saw the strings and the tree’s branch on the table.Maybe it’s a good start to start making my bow today I thought.My face lighted up as I heard my mother calling me for breakfast so I started walking downstairs I could smell the sweet apple pie that she made,the cookies the croissants.Croissants so sweet I thought and I also saw the teapot in the table.
Tea,good to start the day.I immediately took a seat ready to devour all these delicious food my eyes witnessed.
“Eat until you're full”
My mother said with a smile as she took a sit.
Before she could even say a thing I started filling my mouth with the chocolate cookies but then I remembered something
“Wait mom, don't you have work today?I didn’t saw you go yesterday either”
“Oh,They hired another girl in the bakery so she works in my place to learn the work better”
“I see…”I kept eatin.My mother served us tea and I took a sip from the refreshing hot tea.
“So,when are you planning to get married?You're already 20 years old.”
I felt like I was about to split the tea out of my mouth but I held my mouth not allowing that to happen.I found my mother’s question suddenly.

“Uh,I’m afraid marriage has to wait.I’m not interested in anyone at the time”
My mother chuckled
“As you say It’s just that I really wish for the day I’ll see you wearing a beautiful wedding dress and see you full of happiness”
I smiled but then I looked at the time.As much as I wanted to stay more it was time to go to work. I gave my mother a hug before I got up and left the house.
I took the usual path to reach my work.My neighborhood’s kids were playing outside and as usual they waved at me and I did the same.I kept walking my way to my destination to start my day as always.

When I finished work it was almost evening.I was walking in the city’s see a sorcerer showing his magic to people.He’s magic was so beautiful it was as if he had created a whole galaxy in his hands and I admired that.I approached closer to watch him casting more beautiful spells one after another.
“And for my final spell…”He said, not completing his sentence.He was moving his hand ready to cast the spell.Who would have known that my eyes would turn wide open as he created shining butterflies flying around us and then going up to the sky making it look like stars as they went higher.The children started to applaud and I did the same
“Thank you thank you”He repeated as he bowed
“Now it’s already getting late, you guys better go back home or your parents might get worried”The children nodded and started to walk their way back home as I was about to leave I stopped when he spoke to me
“It seems a lady liked my saw and decided to stay and watch my show as well”
I turned to look at him
“Not gonna lie it was pretty impressive”He approached me as he crossed his arms to his chest and smiled.
I examined him for a moment.He’s curly ginger hair and his green eyes made him look handsome. I couldn't deny it.
“The name’s Jacob and yours?”
I hesitated for a moment but I decided to tell him
“Ayen”


“A pleasure”He said.
“Where did you learn to use your magic so well?”I said with curiosity and a little bit of jealousy.I wish I could do the same.
“What can I say.I had good master.And what you saw is nothing”He said as he paused to chuckle
I raised an eyebrow as he continue speaking
“If I wanted I could burn half of the city”
My eyes wide open
“Wait really?”
He nodded his gaze, never leaving mine.
“But that’s a joke of course”
This person seemed strange to me.He looked at me up and down placing his finger under his chin.
“Uh…what are you doing?”
He took a step back as he straightened his back.
“Nothing I thought you were familiar for a moment”
I had a confused expression.As I was about to speak the bell ringed
“Ah I’m sorry my lady but as much as I want and speak to you all day I’m afraid I have to go good night.
He kissed the top of my hand but before I could say a thing he transformed into a raven and flew into the sky with my eyes wide open.
“Such a strange person…”
