That old man knows how to throw a lavish party for no reason whatsoever. The gala was held at 100 pearl street rooftop. The air was charged with luxury and exclusiveness as political leaders, prominent businessmen, and other important figures from various industries gathered to pay homage to Harry Winston.
Too much small talk and politeness. It's sucking the life out of me. "Yes, It was very interesting indeed." The man across me won't stop bragging about the latest horse auction. The waiter walked smoothly between the standing bodies, very close to my reach. I excused myself and just followed the waiter. He kept walking till he reached the backdoor that I think leads to the back area where the alcohol was.
As I was about to call for the waiter, I lost him. Dammit. I looked at my empty hands and scanned through the enormous rooftop. No waiter to spot. "I think all of them went to get another round of drinks." a female captivating voice said. Her voice was clear. I looked around yet no face to this voice. "Back here."
My gaze followed the voice, that became clearer. A stunning woman who seemed to radiate an irresistible aura. Her dark, cascading waves of hair framed her face that seemed to have been sculpted by an angelic hand. Her skin glowed with a natural radiance, accentuated by a touch of sun-kissed glow. Her eyes, deep brown and expressive, sparkled with a mesmerizing twinkle. Full, inviting lips begged to be kissed, it slowly changed to a smile. Beautiful smile. "I have one extra, want to join me?" Yes, please!
I took the glass from her, her soft delicate hand touched mine. I couldn't help but to steal a glance at her. Banging body, and those lips are just... "Thanks, so the party that bad that you are here all alone."
She laughed. Her laugh, oh, her laugh... Her eyes sparkled with delight, and her face lit up with a radiant smile. "It kinda a lot for me, the small talks just draining."
It's me who chuckled this time. "Indeed, I was following the waiter just for the sake of avoiding everyone."
"Why? you look like you belong." She said and nodded her head towards bunch of men in designer suites like mine.
"I do, but these types of gatherings are just boring." She put her empty glass on the ground and offered me her left hand. Her wrist decorated with a golden bracelet looked enchanting with her long burgundy nails. My gaze went to her face, smiling at me. I'm melted at this beauty.
"Care to join me in a secret mission." She didn't wait for me to respond and held my hand, dragging me with her with one hand and the other held a bottle of wine. A light breeze hit us as we walked to the back heading to backside metal stairs. Her scent... Freshly picked roses mingled with the sweet notes of jasmine. Underlying it all was a warm, comforting trace of vanilla and amber blended seamlessly.
Dammit!
Our fingers intertwined perfectly, sending electric shivers through my body. Directly to my p— "What do you think?" My eyes finally moved from her back when she stopped and looked back at me. We were standing at the very far end of the rooftop, surprisingly away from the crowd, the music was far, and the light was a bit dim.
The shadows and faint lights laid beautifully over her shiny face. God... she's beautiful. "I think I'm in love." she chuckled and moved away, slipping her hand, and walking to a small bench. I followed her and sat next to her.
Our thighs touched; I couldn't help but gaze at her tanned silky legs. With that olive silky dress with this dangerous cut that deliciously revealed her full legs. I'm dead. She held the bottle and took a sip. Those red lips just around my... "I'm Valeria." she said and tossed me the bottle. Gladly I drank from the same spot. Delicious.
She giggled, raising her hand close to my face. Can't move my eyes from hers. Her thumb lightly across my lips. "You had red lipstick, sorry." her thumb still on my lips, I couldn't stop myself. I kissed her thumb lightly.
She moved her hand slowly and rested it on her lap. "I'm John."
"It's nice to meet you, John."
