As a prisoner in her basement, Chara was held for four more days. No matter how much they tried to interrogate her about Arceus and his weaknesses, Chara did her best to endure the punishment and torture without answering any of their questions.
She never said a word about who Arceus was or what she knew about him or the babies, even when she was broken and bleeding on the basement floor. Only her unwavering resolve to ensure the safety of her friends is preventing her from speaking up.
After three days of questioning and tormenting Lilith, the villagers reasoned that she might not be necessary to speak anymore. Though some did inquire as to Lilith's whereabouts, others were understandably worried and suspicious about the length of time it had been since they had last seen her. As a result of the village children bringing up Chara's injuries and scars, even Lilith's neighbors spoke out to the villagers, expressing their concern that Lilith's father could be physically abusive, something they had never seen before.
On day four, Salenor finally convinced the other villagers that the monsters had manipulated Lilith. And that was why he was currently keeping his daughter locked up, because he feared that if any other humans came into contact with Lilith, they would be brainwashed as well.
They took his words at face value. Lilith's father told the warriors of the village about his battle experiences in order to justify his theory and the reason he imprisoned Lilith. The monsters that had come to Lilith were also thought to be coming closer, so the villagers should hide behind some bushes or trees and wait for the monsters that had "befriended" Lilith to come by so they can kill or capture And that the monsters would definitely come if they all waited at their posts for long enough. They could then free his daughter from their mind-controlling spell.
Approximately one week had elapsed since Salenor dispatched the remaining wizards and villagers' soldiers into the forest.
Chara was confined to her home's basement, with only her mother present to ensure that she did not leave. In spite of the brutal beatings she had endured in the past few days, Chara persisted in plotting her escape from prison so that she could inform Arceus and the children of the ambush her father had been plotting. Despite her best efforts, every time she moved to dig, her still-bleeding wounds hurt even more, making it even more difficult for her to escape the house.
As soon as Chara's mother caught wind of her, she would use her own brand of determination magic to restrain Lilith, punishing her by depriving her of food and drink for several days or tying her up even more tightly until she could hardly move a muscle.
Weak from a lack of nourishment and water, Chara lay on the ground in her basement "room," writhing in pain from the ropes that bound her and cries out for Arceus. Given all that had transpired, she clung to the faint hope that he would be protected in some manner. Tears welled up in her eyes.
Once more, Arceus appears in the forest. Returning alone this time, he approaches the spot where they first met and cries out, "Chara, are you here, child? I have something I would like to discuss with you.” Arceus “spoke” using telepathy, and his voice echoed in anyone’s mind nearby to hear him.
The nearby villagers let out a cry in terror as the voice suddenly entered their minds, almost revealing their hiding spot. But until Arceus got to the spot where the trap would trigger, they hid in the trees and thick bushes.
Nothing catches Arceus's eye or senses as he scans the area. He proceeds to approach Chara's cave, where she has been hiding for the past three weeks, at a leisurely pace. “Chara? Little one, are you present? There is no need to be scared; everything will be fine. It’s just me. Are you trying to hide somewhere?
Arceus takes one step towards the cave's entrance. His hooves inadvertently set off a trip rope, and a massive rope net lands on top of him the second he steps on it. The net falls on Arceus, and he squats on his hind legs in astonishment, before he cries out in terror and then rears backward. He swiftly scans his surroundings for the person or people responsible for setting the trap, and to his surprise, he sees the luminous auras of the villagers encircling him.
The presence of their auras gave him the impression that they were plotting his harm. Arceus was astounded that he had failed to notice them earlier. Regrettably, he had been completely preoccupied with locating Chara to notice anything. In an effort to defuse the tension, he spoke slowly and calmly, asking, "Who are you all? I promise you all no harm if that is why you have all dropped this net onto me. I am simply looking for a friend named Chara. Have you seen her? She is a little girl, a young human who has lived in this cave for an unknown amount of time."
"What? 'Chara?' We have no idea who 'Chara' is, but if you are after Lilith, whom we overheard you talking to a few days ago, then it is too bad! Because no matter where you go, we will make sure you never tamper with her again!!" a chorus of villagers chants as they leap on him, brandishing swords, spears, and even some different types of SOUL magic. Such as dark blue Integrity, which permitted the humans use of gravity powers, or light blue Patience magic, as they turned Arceus’ SOUL light blue and forcing him to stand still when an attack was thrown at him or lest he will be wounded.
When the villagers suddenly charge at him, Arceus does not waste a second to respond. As Arceus's ring begins to glow and turns pink, he is able to teleport out of harm's way, and the net pathetically falls to the floor, where Arceus was before.
Upon his disappearance, the villagers scream in terror. They come to a complete halt and start looking for him within seconds.
“Where on earth did he disappear to?!?" They all squawk in terror and disbelief as they search for any sign of Arceus's next appearance.
Right next to the villagers, a rift opens up, ripping reality apart. From this crack, Arceus erupts and charges at them at breakneck speed. Several villagers are knocked to the ground by the unexpected blast of Arceus's body crashing into them. Arceus then swiftly ascends to the sky after teleporting a short distance.
Then, armed with their bows and arrows, some of the villagers attempt to bring down Arceus from the sky. But some of the villagers remained there, paralyzed with fear, unsure of what was going on. Did this monster actually cause a rip in reality?! But that was impossible!
Arceus easily dodges the arrows as he runs around them, as if he is running on air. He charges a Flamethrower as soon as the villagers cease firing at him. His ring and golden adornments turn orange for fire-type, Arceus' forehead forms a small ball of fire and blasts it at humans.
As the fire spreads, many of the villagers are cooked alive, but some dare to flee, pleading for their lives as a protest. On the other hand, some courageous ones remain and keep arrowing Arceus; some even use their own SOUL magic, like green kindness magic, to immobilize Arceus after he takes a hit. Arceus was shot from a bow with blue INTEGRITY magic that had a blue rope-like glowing string attached to it. Everyone was trying to keep Arceus' attention on them so that he would not notice that Chara's dad was climbing a tree to sneak up on him from behind and get him there.
Arceus skillfully sidesteps the incoming arrows and swiftly charges another Flamethrower, unleashing its destructive fury on the rebellious humans pursuing him—all the while dodging the pleading bodies of those who have fled.
As the flames start to spread, the villagers carry on dodging the approaching forest fire. A number of forest-dwelling animals also began to run away from the fighting, attempting to get away from the encroaching flames.
In an effort to evade the arrows, Arceus finds himself right behind Salenor, who begins to ascend the tree at an ever-increasing rate. With deliberate steps, he climbs up onto a branch, approaches its edge, and waits for Arceus to be directly below him. With a swift motion, Salenor draws his sword from its sheath at his hip and charges at Arceus. Salenor barely misses landing on Arceus's back, however. Still, he manages to stop his fall by grabbing onto the side of Arceus's ring, wrapped tightly around his hips.
As soon as Arceus sees Salenor grasp on, he begins to violently twist in an attempt to fling him off. "I demand to be released, please!" The "voice" of Arceus resounds in Salenor's mind, making him flinch slightly; however, he persists in clutching the ring.
As a means of liberating both hands, Salenor places the grip of the sword in his mouth. He proceeds to try to gain a better hold of the ring by climbing onto Arceus's body.
After Salenor noticed that he was hanging more steadily from his position, he took the sword out of his mouth and attempted to stab it deeply into the side of Arceus's spherical stomach. But when Arceus sees this, he decides to throw the side of his body where Salenor was against the tree with all his might, crushing his body to pieces. This causes Salenor to let go of the sword in agony just in time to avoid being impaled by Arceus.
After being thrown off Arceus's back, Salenor's head lands hard on the ground, causing him to pass out immediately. As a result, the villagers retaliate by launching even more arrows at Arceus. The villagers even start setting fire to the tips of their arrows as a result of the trees burning nearby. In the hopes of landing a more devastating blow, they start hurling them at Arceus.
Arceus transforms into a water-type Pokémon, and his golden accessories turn a deep blue. Some of the flaming arrows strike him, but they miss. Just as he is about to launch Judgment attack, his ring starts glowing brightly again.
When the villagers see that Arceus is unharmed by the arrows, they take note of the ring's color change. The villagers' fear grows as they witness a radiant light emanating from Arceus's crown, enveloping him in a mesmerizing golden glow. "Wh-what exactly is this being?!?" they exclaim in astonishment. “What gives? Our assaults did not even faze him!”
“This is bad!! We should run and get out of here while we still can!!!”
Then, with pinpoint accuracy, Arceus unleashes the attack, raining down a thousand or more luminous blue beams of light on the villagers and the fires. The beams kill every single villagers and put out the forest fires as they land.
From the window, Afora observes the entire conflict. As she looks down at the forest engulfed in flames—a result of the water-type Judgement attack—she lets out a scream of alarm. Fearing that Arceus may attack their home and the village, Afora hastily descends to the basement, where she binds Lilith's neck with her fingers and pulls her up by force.
"N... No...!" Chara cries out in agony and briefly tries to get away before yelling, "N-not again, stop..." Attempting to free herself from her grip, Chara twists her body, but a fractured rib pokes into her lungs, causing her to cough up blood and halt her movements.
"Be quiet! I will make you take responsibility if you refuse to do so!!!” Afora snarls at her.
