Happy 25th of April!
Today is the 50th anniversary of the carnation revolution that ended the fascist regime in Portugal and the colonial war in Africa. For 50 years we have had freedom of speech, freedom of press and the right to vote.
Sadly, just like all of Europe, we are going back to having fascist politicians in power.
I’ve talked to people who wanted to vote for the far right and most of them are only against immigration, but they don’t even know far right means fascism.
The country really needs to prioritize education, health and the housing crisis which are the main causes for the desperation people feel. We need to prioritize support for health organizations, schools, nature, and disenfranchised communities but all of this doesn’t seem to be the main concern of our government at all.
The world seems to be in a very dire situation as a whole and only seems to get worse day by day, but the best way to fight agains injustice is to learn about the experiences of others and prioritize peace over power.
Maggie finds out she's a magical girl right before moving and starting college. Thankfully she's not alone. But who is her mysterious partner? And what is behind the possessions going on in town?
