Ugh, I can't believe I find myself here instead of back home.
Who thought it was a good idea to go to a bar not just any bar but a gay one? My sibling of course. Thanks, Jasper!
Yeah, if it were up to me I would have never come to this place and instead have my beautiful evening all to myself in my cozy room but it seems like Jasper and I aren't on the same page.
Jasper thinks I don't go out enough and I need to socialize, but I don't need that, I'm perfectly fine all by myself. If Jasper's idea of socializing is a gay bar, then my very own sibling has lost their mind.
Bars and clubs are definitely not my thing and they know that, yet why here?
And what pisses me off even more is that Jasper ditched, yes they ditched me. They were supposed to accompany me but called last minute saying they couldn't. I bet it was all planned.
Imagine my shock when I appeared in front of a gay bar all alone. Yeah, really not up to my alley and not what I was expecting.
I was so close to leaving that place altogether if it wasn't for Jasper promising to buy me lunch sometime.
So yeah, that's why I'm in this bar, a very gay bar surrounded by all sorts of guys dancing all clamped to each other on the dancefloor, some even doing things that are kinda gross, even some I don't want to name.
All the while, my ears are exploding by blasting disco music, to the point I can't hear people talking and the lights are flashing like crazy. Overall, it's not a pleasant environment and it's only putting me more on edge.
At first, when I came in, I knew I couldn't stay in the front all night long so I opted to take a drink.
Luckily, no one has paid my mind so I'm glad. Screw you, Jasper.
Regardless, I've been sitting at the bar table all alone for the past few minutes sipping my drink and unfortunately, I have the direct view to the dancefloor.
And honestly, it really is unnerving, as some things going on even baffles me.
Luckily my attention gets quickly moved elsewhere.
Elsewhere meaning towards the sudden new ongoing commotion at the front entrance.
The commotion must be loud for me to be able to hear it, yeah it is, hence why it caught my attention.
Though I don't have to wait out long before I realize what's this commotion all about once I lead eyes on someone, not just anybody.
Right at the entrance a handsome young man enters the bar, immediately grasping the attention of everyone and already surrounded by guys interested in him.
That guy is not just anybody, no, he's well known, in fact, he's not just well known, he might as well be a high-class celebrity.
Even from far away, it's unmistakable. The guy has the body of an athlete, not just any kind, the one only a hockey player could have.
Seemingly dyed red hair with the typical flow, cold facial expressions and yet unbothered attitude alongside his height near 6 ft. There's only one guy I know that looks like that and it's the star of his hockey team, Axel Schneider.
No....I can't believe my eyes. I must be mistaken, it really can't be him...but I know there's no way I can miss that face. He's everywhere on the news and ads, everyone knows who he is despite being so young.
What is he doing here? He's a well-known guy and he's here on a Friday night at a gay bar?
No way...How is that possible? Is this bar known for attracting celebrities? If so, does this mean more players on his team will come here tonight?
This is so strange. I know hockey players love to party but I don't think they're allowed to go to bars like that, let alone a gay bar.
Am I witnessing a scandal firsthand?
Oh gosh...
Wait, why do I care so much about that? It's almost as if I'm also excited about him being here.
Gosh, get a grip on yourself, he's just a guy like everyone else here.
I try to ignore the commotion and choose to continue sipping my drink, but I quickly come to realize that the commotion is getting louder and louder and eventually it's right next to me.
I don't have time to wonder why that is when I notice the very same guy who's been grasping the attention of everyone for the past few minutes sitting right next to me.
Oh goodness, I can't believe I'm sitting next to a celebrity. This wasn't what I signed up for.
The guy orders a drink to the bartender and the bartender very early starts making his drink.
If I thought that I would get away from any socialization tonight, I would be dead wrong because the start hockey player sitting next to me has noticed me.
And immediately I get shivers, the reason unknown to me.
But the look he gives me as he looks at me up and down...I just hope this isn't him judging me.
"Hey, nice drink you have there." He looks over at my drink and I get all self-conscious all of a sudden.
Omg...chill out, act normal, and forget his status, he's just a guy after all.
"Um yeah..." Agh...that sounded so awkward. I'm making a fool out of myself in front of a celebrity.
"What does it taste like?" Huh? I thought he'd ignore me.
"Oh uh...it's Gin & Basil." Again, what am I doing acting so shy around him?
"Hmm, seems good, I should taste it." I expected him to just tell the bartender he changed his mind but instead, he caught me off guard by taking my drink and drinking it.
Omg...am I dreaming or is this really happening?
"Hmm, it tastes good. Bartender, can I get the same as him?" He asks the bartender and he agrees way too easily. Gosh, they can't help but make his status more noticeable.
My thoughts get put to an end once I notice that the guy is now looking at me, no, he's staring at me and not just normally, I can feel his gaze, that's how powerful it is. I shiver from the sensation and I get more confused.
What does he want from me? Why is he looking at me like that? Normally I could just shrug it off as a guy being interested in me although quite unlikely but this guy isn't anybody. He's Axel Schneider and as far as I know, he's straight as it goes. So why...
He continues to stare at me without saying a word but eventually gets interrupted by the bartender. Thank goodness, because at this rate I was going to pass out from nervousness.
"Here's your drink, Mr Hockey player." The bartender says smirking and I can't help but cringe. The bartender is obviously flirting with the hockey player, can't he that...
"Thanks for the reminder." He says sharply as he takes the drink from the bartender and then puts his attention on me. What? How can he be so cold? I get that's he straight but at least turn him down politely.
While the guy starts sipping his drink, I expect him to stop staring at me but he doesn't, no he's still staring at me but why isn't he saying anything?
Should I say something? But I don't know what to ask...Well...I am curious to know why he's here but it's not like I can ask him that...
"Um...what brings you here tonight?" I finally managed to say and he loosens up a bit.
"I'm only in this town till tomorrow so I figured that I could just visit the city and then I found this place, so I decided to go in." It still doesn't justify it I want to say but I don't.
"Oh cool..."
"What about you?" He returns the question and I almost freeze.
"Oh um...one of my siblings forced me to come here so I could socialize." Wait, why am being so honest to him? He's a stranger.
"So you're all by yourself?" He says so all the while maintaining his intense gaze on me, which makes me shudder. I knew hockey players were on a whole different level but I didn't think it was that much.
"Um...yeah..." I instantly mentally slapped myself, why did I have to say that to him? It's so obvious...
"Thought so." He says nonchalantly, yet his intense gaze betrays it so much so much that it makes me want to melt in my seat.
What does he want from me? If he isn't into men, then why he's speaking to me? He's really giving me mixed signals.
There is silence between us while the disco club music continues to blast all over.
I don't know if I like this...all I know is that his intensity is really starting to get through me. Is this supposed to be a staring contest or something? It's so intense...so much so that I could mislead it as sex...
"Let's go on the dancefloor." I get snapped from my thoughts and immediately get flustered caught off guard,
"Oh uh..." He stares at me waiting pretty intently for my answer, yet I'm still my usual awkward self.
I'm supposed to be at a club, why can't I let myself relax?
Just say yes at this point, he's a hockey star when will this occasion ever happen to me?
"Yeah...yeah it's fine we can go." He continues his fixed look on me and finally appears to snap out of it as he stands up.
Wait! I just realized we still have our drinks to take care of.
"Um...what about our drinks?"
"It's fine, I'll just buy us some drinks later." figures, he's crazy rich...wait did he say us?!
I don't have time to react as we're already moving through the crowd to get to the dancefloor,
Immediately, I get uncomfortable but I try to remind myself that I'm with a hockey star and I can't make a fool of myself.
Right! This is my new mission! Try to act cool in front of the hockey player Schneider.
We squeeze through the crowd and at first, I take a bit of space from the dyed red-haired guy but I get pushed into him by some other guy, cutting me off guard.
It's then I realize I am face to face with the hockey player and my cheeks can't help but heat up like wildfire. Thank goodness, he can't see that since the lights are dim and constantly flashing in multiple colours.
Then as if cursing me even more, the guy is staring at me intensely but now it's pretty up close.
Wow...he's even more attractive up close like that...
Suddenly, the music changes and everyone starts pushing each other. In the process, it causes me not only to be pushed against Axel but almost fall in the process, through to my utter astonishment or luckiness, Axel grabs me
just in time, keeping me balanced.
"Woah there, we don't want you falling." For the first time in the night, he smiles but it just had to be such a dashing smile.
"Sorry..." I say stupidly though I didn't say it loud enough because he didn't hear me.
"What did you say?" He says a bit louder.
"Nothing!" I say over the music and he just gives me a knowing look. What is that supposed to mean?
I don't have time to analyze it as suddenly I become increasingly aware of his grip still on my arms.
As if sensing this, he shocks me some more by putting my arms around his waist.
"Now you won't fall anymore." He grins directly at me and my heart keeps bumping quickly as my cheeks heat up even more.
The music continues going on as others have fun on the dancefloor but my focus returns quickly to Axel as he suddenly starts moving his waist a bit, again catching me by surprise.
"Come on, you have to start moving too." Already losing it to him, he continues to leave me gasping as he now puts his hands around my waist, trying to move my waist a little.
I don't know if it's the alcohol kicking in but I found myself giving in.
I started moving a bit and while I did so I couldn't help but feel his hands lingering on
my waist, though I ignore it.
"Hmm, seems like you can move too." He smiles dashingly and I just want to melt into him.
"Yeah, I can." I try to sound confident by smiling and luckily he seems to not question it.
"Good, now let's have fun dancing."
For the next few moments, we continued dancing against one another to the beat of the disco music.
At first, it was a bit awkward but I gradually became used to it and eventually, I even started having fun.
As my confidence grows, the more daring I am.
And I don't what comes over me but I slowly start dancing even closer to the hockey player and he notices, though he doesn't say a word, he just looks at me intently as we dance against one another.
Eventually, the chosen song goes to a climax and he surprises by getting even closer to me, so close that I can see clearly his eyes.
The music slows down right before it drops and right at the same time, the lights change colours and it's as if everything goes into slow motion.
It's just him and I looking at each other intently in the middle of the dance floor.
The moment ends quickly as the beat drops turning the music to its usual bouncy best and everything goes back to normal.
I release a breath I didn't know I was holding.
Gosh...what was that...and why was that...so...attractive?
I don't have time to recover as I get more caught off guard by him. He strengthens his grip on my waist and for some reason, I like the sensation, it feels...oddly right.
As if still buzzed from moments ago, I expect something to happen but nothing happens except the fact we keep looking at each other as we continue dancing a bit to the beat.
But quickly I start to notice that he must be teasing me because I can sense his hands sliding up and down my waist as we dance.
I could ask him about it but I choose not to, instead enjoying the sensation and the moment.
This goes on for a little while and even if I enjoy the moment, I start to be a bit frustrated that nothing is changing, though I can't explain why.
Through the moment I've been waiting for finally happens, I start to feel his hands sliding dangerously low. I look at him and he looks at me with a daring expression. Oh, he knows what he's doing grabbing my butt like that and he knows I'm actually enjoying it.
Through there's one thing I can't help but notice, his lips that look so inviting, yet too far away...
Without realizing I close the distance between us and settle my lips on him.
Immediately savouring the kiss, I close my eyes as he leans into it too, closing his eyes as well.
Even if I can sense his satisfaction I choose to ignore it and enjoy the kiss.
Such an innocent tentative kiss rapidly becomes more intense as his tongue glides over my lips, teasing me some more and asking for access to more.
Without even thinking, I give access
and slide my tongue against his too, where we become busy tasting every part of our mouth.
While we're busy kissing greedily to the beat of the music, he starts putting his hands on my butt and squeezes slightly.
Through it causes a slight yelp of surprise from me but it doesn't last for long as those sounds quickly enlist soft moans.
Not long after, needing to breathe, the hockey player pulls away.
"Let's get out of here, shall we?" He says a bit out of breath, yet I can't help but fall for his dashing smile.
"Yeah...we should."
I found myself agreeing to a night that I certainly won't forget.
