Aurora remained aloof, gazing with her blue eyes at the surroundings while the people inside the hall stared at her. Some were astonished by her beauty, others admired her slender figure, and some were puzzled by her black hair contrasting with her blue eyes. Hector didn't bother to stare too much; instead, he crossed his legs and turned his face to the left side to avoid direct eye contact, muttering to himself,
"Why does this commoner slang possess all this beauty?"
As for the two individuals who seemed like a couple, they gazed at her for a moment, then resumed their conversation as if nothing happened. Until Aurora delicately spoke, bending down to pick up her bag, "I caused a commotion... Sorry," then she proceeded as if she owned the place. Not out of arrogance, but with a sense of nobility. Her gaze turned towards Hector, who seemed indifferent towards her. Aurora approached Hector, pulling the chair next to him closer, saying, "It seems you're the only one here I've met for the second time." She sat on the chair next to him, crossed her legs, and began speaking to the couple in front of her with grace and kindness, "Just to get used to the place... I hope it doesn't bother you." Hector turned around, barely concealing a smirk of satisfaction on his face, and with a fake smile, he replied, "Of course not." Aurora surprised him with a sweet smile, directed towards him, "Hello again," then she returned her gaze to examine the place gently, perhaps out of habit, to scrutinize everything meticulously before committing her crime without evidence.
Hector smirked mockingly, "Hm." He couldn't accept how she casually ignored him, maybe worse than before.
The place was bustling with camera crews. It was a vast hall surrounded by a few rooms from all sides, with no visible stairs in the corners. So, if one wanted to leave discreetly, there was no way to do so. Apart from being a television program, this time, the son of one of the kingdom's most famous families was present. Therefore, the security was tighter than necessary. Also, the building belonged to the Salvadors. However, regardless of Aurora's desire to relax in the surroundings and atmosphere, she didn't forget that she was in the enemy's lair. Perhaps the difficulty of finding a way out, as she was accustomed to, made the situation more challenging or perhaps more enjoyable for Aurora, who, without realizing it, drew a smile of desire, arrogance, and pleasure.
The girl on the red couch next to the young man looked at Aurora in amazement, then inadvertently met Aurora's blue eyes. All the girl could do was grip the edge of the couch tightly, without needing to show the extent of the fear that engulfed her when their eyes met. Aurora, with a light smile on her face, then turned her gaze downwards completely. After feeling Aurora had diverted her gaze, the girl turned to the young man beside her and said, "So far, I don't know why you brought us here, Sid"
The man with sharp features and fair skin, honey-colored eyes, brown hair, and a light beard on his circular face, smiled as he replied, "Lynn, consider it... um... a leisure trip, just that." A look of frustration appeared on Lynn's long face. She closed her eyes for a moment, then opened them, her black eyes staring into the man's eyes, while strands of her blonde hair scattered from her shiny forehead after she blew air on her face with her full red lips, saying, "Leisure among monsters, huh..." Sid chuckled softly and said, "I know that guy is a bit scary," indicating Hector with his words, "but the girl there doesn't seem frightening. Anyway, I'm by your side."
Lynn turned her face in frustration, muttering, "She's scarier than that arrogant one."
Lynn barely lifted her head when she sensed footsteps approaching her and Sid. Then a voice echoed above her head, "Hello... I feel strange here. Are you also?" Lynn raised her head to find Aurora in front of her, smiling gently with no sign of malice on her face. Lynn was surprised and began to stare at her longer and longer. Then she put her hand on her face and leaned on the edge of the couch, staring. Until Sid's sharp voice pierced her, whispering, "What are you doing?" Lynn adjusted her sitting position, then smiled at Aurora, saying, "Sorry, but you're beautiful. I couldn't overlook your features." Aurora laughed genuinely as she received her compliment and said, "You look beautiful too. But why are your eyes black and your hair blonde?" Without hesitation, Lynn laughed and said, "Your hair is black and your eyes are blue. Isn't that strange too?" Then Aurora laughed and said, "Oh, just dyed hair." To which Lynn replied, "Same here." Then they exchanged laughs, while Sid stared at them in astonishment, muttering to himself, "Women are indeed strange." Then he said, "Oh, hello. I'm Sid, and this is Lynn. Nice to meet you." Aurora replied, saying, "Hello. Nice to meet you too. I'm Aurora." Then Lynn asked, "Is that your real name or a pseudonym?" Aurora didn't have a chance to answer before Hector, who was also standing beside them, said, "I want to hear the answer too." Just a moment ago, when he heard Aurora's name, his body trembled. Then quickly, he found himself next to them. Aurora smiled and said, "Oh, I couldn't think of anything else. Aurora again." Then Hector sighed and walked away, while Sid wondered,
"So, is that your real name or a pseudonym?" To which Lynn replied, "It's clear. Are you dumb?"
Sid nodded, indicating to let it go. "So, Aurora, did you find the memo?"
Aurora replied casually, "Yes, you're the writer, right?" A sense of joy and pride appeared on Sid's face, indicating his status as the writer. Aurora continued, "I almost fell for you... if your words weren't already directed towards someone else." She gazed gently at Lynn, who seemed indifferent to the situation, or perhaps she was trying to insert herself into it. Aurora wondered, "So, are you two a couple?" To which Sid and Lynn replied, "Oh... don't you really know?" Aurora seemed momentarily foolish, while she sensed Hector's laughter from afar, as if he didn't care. She laughed and said, "I just found the memo, that's all I know."
Then Lynn asked, "So, how many pages of the memo did you read?"
Aurora replied, "Oh, I read it all... in an hour... or maybe an hour and a half, I don't remember."
Lynn burst into laughter, while everyone else expressed surprise.
"What drives her to read something as trivial as love... and in just one hour," muttered Hector to himself.
As for Aurora, she repeated, "I'm really curious about it... What does it mean 'to love'? So, I'm here."
A journey into the heart of darkness, where love and longing collide in a battle for the ages. For in the shadows of desire, anything is possible, and only those who dare to embrace the darkness can truly find the light.
