Satan only laughed in response, prompting Jason to leap into action. Using his command over air, he deflected Satan's fiery assault and then conjured a fireball of his own. The two attacks collided, creating a spectacular explosion that shook the battlefield. With a quick sweep of his eyes, Jason spotted Norvax dangerously close to the impact zone. Using his power over the air, he propelled Norvax to safety and manipulated the air to drive Satan into the heart of the explosion. Satan was thrown off balance and quickly tried to flee, but Jason was ready. Using his newfound flying ability, he pursued Satan, raining down fireballs. Satan, however, managed to teleport away, disappearing from the battlefield. Jason turned his attention to Norvax, who lay battered but alive, his broken arms a testament to his brave fight against Satan. Transitioning back to the battlefront with Polo and the three Princes of Hell—Leviathan, Beezlebub, and Asmodeus—Polo found himself engulfed in a maelstrom of their combined assaults. Yet, in the heart of the chaos, something peculiar occurred; time seemed to slow down, granting Polo an uncanny perception. An image flashed in his mind, prompting him to extend three fingers on his right hand in front of his face, toward his nose. As he completed the sign, an astounding realization washed over him: Time had come to a standstill.
Out of nowhere, Ava appeared beside him, her fingers mirroring the sign he held. A smile bloomed on her face as she greeted him, "Hello there." Astounded, Polo responded, "How did you know I'm alive?" "My power source is life, the opposite of yours," she explained. "I felt you were alive, but in need of help. When I sensed that, I sent you the signal." Polo, still slightly shocked but also relieved, finally understood. "That signal to do the sign... because your source is life and mine is death?" "Exactly," she affirmed. Overwhelmed with relief and gratitude, Polo drew Ava into an embrace, which she returned after a moment's surprise. They then shared everything that had transpired since their separation, the discovery of Ava's true power, Jason's transformation, and the ensuing struggles. Meanwhile, Polo incapacitated the demon princes. He broke the bones of both Leviathan and Asmodeus and banished the hesitant Beezlebub to a far-off place. Then, he and Ava returned to their original spots. Upon making the sign again, time resumed its course. The princes of Hell, writhing in pain and bewildered by the inexplicable injuries, retreated in haste. The reunion between Polo, Ava, and Norvax was a heartfelt one. Ava, using her healing abilities, restored Norvax's broken hands. As they headed back to Norvax's home, they recounted their separate experiences, their bond strengthened by shared adversity. Following a warm, home-cooked meal, exhaustion finally claimed them. They retired to their respective rooms, their bodies demanding rest after the harrowing day.
In a distant corner of the multiverse, a secret conclave gathered. These were the Elders, the timeless beings that worked tirelessly to maintain equilibrium in the vast expanse of existence. They had not convened like this in over 1,400 years, a testament to the magnitude of the matters at hand. The first among them was the Elder of Balance William, a being of immense gravitas whose task bore significant weight. His was the duty to ensure equilibrium across the myriad planes of reality, a monumental task that required the delicate touch of a cosmic diplomat. Next was Sulayman, the Elder of Yin and Yang. His responsibility was not merely to oversee the dual forces of the universe but to maintain the delicate dance between them. In the grand theater of existence, Sulayman was the conductor of the cosmic symphony, making certain the notes of light and darkness played in perfect harmony, reflecting the intrinsic duality of life and death, creation and destruction, love and hate. Then there was the Elder of Harmony, often called 'Light Bulb' for his shining aura of tranquility. His duty, while seemingly similar to that of the Elder of Balance, was distinctively nuanced. While Balance worked on a macrocosmic scale, ensuring equal forces across universes, Harmony's work was more intimate. He was charged with fostering the balance within each being, nurturing the personal harmony that promoted peace and prosperity in the smaller, yet equally significant, spheres of existence. Yet, amidst this illustrious council, one Elder remained shrouded in mystery. His name was unknown, his personal details undisclosed. He was a spectral presence in their midst, an emotional anomaly in the sea of cosmic objectivity. His silence was as enigmatic as it was intriguing, sparking curiosity among the others. This eclectic council, gathered once again, stood as a testament to the enduring struggle for balance in the universe. Their individual roles intertwined in a cosmic tapestry, working together to orchestrate harmony in the face of entropy and chaos.
The elders gathered around a table that looked as ancient as they did, each one contemplating the weight of the situation they found themselves in. Their faces, etched with the lines of countless years, carried a somber expression. Breaking the silence, the Elder of Balance spoke up, his voice resonating in the hollow space.
"We all know why we're gathered here," he began, his gaze meeting each of the elder's eyes in turn. His fingers drummed against the table, the sound echoing ominously in the silent room. "Yes, we do," responded Sulayman, the Elder of Yin and Yang, his voice steady as he interlaced his fingers on the table. His silver hair shimmered under the dim light, and his piercing gaze reflected an unwavering commitment to their cause. "Indeed," chimed in the Elder of Harmony, known amongst them as Lightbulb. His soft voice barely more than a whisper, yet it carried through the room. "It has been far too long since we've all convened like this."The room remained silent as their eyes moved to the last elder, a man of undisclosed identity, notorious for his emotional disposition. He sat quietly, his features hidden under a shadowy hood, his silence speaking volumes. They knew, without him saying a word, that the time of reckoning was upon them. They were facing a moment that had been foreseen yet remained dreaded - a moment that would shift the balance of the universe, and it was up to them to guide the forces through this upheaval. The air in the room thickened when the one with no face and no name spoke up. "Polo, fighting against the Demon Lords, has disturbed the balance. He returned time to its rightful owner."William, the Elder of Balance, spun in his seat to face him, incredulity scrawled across his face. "And how, exactly, do you know this?" The elder replied simply, "I was there," and proceeded to remove his mask. The room filled with an echoing gasp as they came face to face with Beezlebub. The room, already tense, was now a thread away from snapping. Sulayman snorted. "Ah, the irony. So that's why you've been hiding under the mask. Show us your hand, Beezlebub." And, with a wary glance around the room, Beezlebub revealed his hand, verifying his dual identity as a true Elder and a Demon Lord."But you attacked Polo!" William exclaimed, his brow furrowing. Beezlebub retorted, "I had to, to avoid suspicion." Lightbulb scoffed, "Suspicion, my ass! You hesitated at first. Anyway, this is insane. How can a Demon Lord be one of us?"Sulayman stepped in, his voice icy, "Oh, aren't you a bastard sprung from vermin." "Watch yourself, Sulayman!" Lightbulb shot back. The argument escalated, their voices echoing off the ancient walls."Enough!" William roared, cutting through their bickering. "There are multiple tears in the cosmic balance caused by Polo and the others. We need to fix this." As the room descended into stunned silence, Beezlebub asked, "How do we fix it?"A heavy sigh escaped William's lips. "I think it's time, boys."They all looked at him, shock apparent on their faces. "I think it's time we return to Earth, particularly where this chaos is happening.""Despite the palpable tension that clung to the air, a collective agreement was reached. The elders, for the first time in centuries, prepared to set foot on Earth. The situation called for immediate action, and they were ready to intervene. The elder of Balance, William, proposed, 'We should first go to the location where Polo last activated his powers. It seems to be the epicenter of the cosmic tears.'
Sulayman, the elder of Yin and Yang, agreed. 'Indeed, tracing the disruptions from their origin might provide us with a clearer understanding of what transpired.' His voice, now free of earlier skepticism, suggested a determination that matched his fellow elders. The room was alight with activity as the elders began to prepare for their mission. Amidst the flurry, Beezlebub stood silently, his mind filled with uncertainty. He had seen the effects of Polo's actions firsthand, had experienced the raw power that had caused the current disarray. Would their intervention be enough?Meanwhile, on Earth, Polo and the others had just awoken from their rest. They were still grappling with the aftermath of their battles. Unaware of the elders' decision, they tried to gather their bearings, their focus solely on healing and reorienting themselves. Little did they know, the wheels of a much larger plan were already in motion. The Elders were on their way, and their arrival was sure to cause a stir. Their world was about to get a lot more complicated, but they had no inkling of what was coming their way." Several years had passed since their dramatic battles with the demon lords, with many notable changes happening during this time. Jason and Ava, after discovering a mutual affection amid the chaos, decided to pursue a relationship. Their bond deepened, their connection a beacon of light in the harsh reality of their lives.Meanwhile, Norvax had settled into the role of a father. He had two children, Harry and Ethan. The children were a source of joy for him, but they also served as a constant reminder of the love he lost. His fiancee had succumbed to cancer, leaving him alone to raise their kids. Despite the sorrow that it brought him, he embraced fatherhood with all the love and courage he could muster.Polo, on the other hand, led a different life. No romantic interests had captured his attention, and he found himself dealing with bouts of loneliness. The idea of finding love seemed alien to him, especially as he grappled with the escalating severity of his powers. The recent years had taken a toll on him, both physically and mentally. In a surprising revelation, it was discovered that Norvax was indeed one of the five with a powerful ability. His ability was connected to time, and it had awakened when Polo and Ava performed their unique hand signal during Polo's solo battle with the demon lords. The gravity of this newfound power weighed heavily on Norvax. He had always shouldered responsibilities with grace, but this one was different, making him question the essence of time itself.
Suddenly, the spectral figures of Death, Life, and Time materialized before Polo, Ava, and Norvax. Their appearance stirred confusion amongst the trio; such direct encounters were rarities. Norvax, ever the one to break the silence, asked for an explanation. Time's response, albeit abrupt, was ominous, "The messengers approach. You must act swiftly." Life echoed this urgency, "You need to act now, or doom is upon you all."
Polo, irritated by their cryptic messages, asked Death for clarification, "Can you cut through the riddles, Death?" Death, who commanded respect even from his fellow cosmic entities, then revealed the impending arrival of the Elders."The Elders?" Norvax echoed, a question hanging in his voice.Death elaborated, "Yes, the Elders. They are cosmic entities, bearers of such immense power that they manage the balance of the entire multiverse. Only five of them remain."Polo, confused, questioned, "What do you mean 'five left'? Aren't they supposed to be immortal?" Death responded, "No, they too perish, albeit at an age far surpassing any human lifespan." Ava then questioned Death about the nature and intent of the Elders. "So, are they adversaries or allies? Why are they coming here?" Death turned to Polo and said, "They aren't inherently evil, but your actions ,particularly the slaying of Mammon, have ripped a hole in their reality. They may come to confront you or, at worst, end you." Frustrated, Polo responded, "What kind of guardians are they if they intend to end us?" To which, Death replied, "Polo, it's for that reason we've presented ourselves today. We need your consent to possess your bodies when the Elders arrive." Taken aback, Polo retorted, "What do you mean? I can take them on!" Death responded with an earnest intensity, "No, you can't." Ava and Norvax nodded in agreement. It was settled then. When the Elders arrived, Death would take possession of Polo's body, Life of Ava's, and Time of Norvax's. Their consciousnesses would be in a dormant state during this encounter, with the entities taking control of their physical forms.
