He strides proudly as if he owns the world in his hands, his eyes not flinching towards the ground beneath his feet. Quickly disappearing from the alley where Aurora's house is located, he heads towards a luxurious black car, his face shrouded in darkness as if he despises walking like the majority on the same ground as if he prefers a red carpet instead. He quickly discards his shirt onto the face of one of the individuals beside him as the car drives towards the city center adorned with towering buildings, as if he has transitioned from a village to a city in the blink of an eye, despite Aurora's living place being serene with few towering buildings, seemingly inhabited by middle-income families only, often quiet. Hector begins to speak with a tone contrasting that of Aurora's previous encounter, a sign of arrogance on his face. "To think I have to participate in this nonsense before the wedding, truly... I am Hector. How can I stoop to this level... That fool was glaring at me with all her mental strength... Ah... I should've just killed her... Who is she to raise her eyes to me..." as he changes into a provocative black ensemble, seemingly from a well-known and expensive brand. As for the person beside him, he appears more like a personal guard, wearing a plain gray suit, his features stern, with fair skin, black hair, and eyes, seemingly of shorter stature. He starts his speech as well,
"No worries... it's just a few days... You truly must prepare to ascend your father's throne..."
Hector responds, "Lucas... I know that all too well."
As for Aurora, she continues to enjoy the conversation with her brother, who doesn't seem to agree with her participation in the TV show, especially after learning that the participant is the heir of the Salvador family.
"But Aurora, you know you need to stay away until the time is right," her brother said.
"I'm truly feeling bored, let me have some fun for a bit," Aurora answered. Then she added,
"Let's meet at our parents' house tonight and discuss the matter... Agreed?" as she pushed him to leave and he exited her house. She quickly throws him out of the house, a mischievous smile forming on her face as if she's plotting something.
Half of the day had already passed when we found Aurora standing in front of the building where the TV show was being filmed, a massive hotel. Aurora stood gazing at the building as if she were enchanted by it, although she was already aware that she was being watched, so she had to feign complete amazement. Then she began to walk gently towards the building, the sound of her classic shoes echoing louder than the sound produced by the high heels she usually only wore on missions. She carried her black bag over her left shoulder, her shoulder-length hair swaying as she walked towards the reception desk.
"Hello, I've been invited to participate in a TV show here," Aurora said to the receptionist, who responded carefully, "Hello, Miss, may I have the notebook, please?" Aurora nodded and pulled out the notebook from her bag, handing it to her. The receptionist then asked her, "Would you prefer to participate under your name or a pseudonym?" Aurora appeared to be thinking, then answered, "Alright... a pseudonym then, Aurora."
The receptionist replied, "Alright, Aurora. Please head to the seventh floor and give them this paper," handing Aurora the paper with the number 7 and a small star on it. Aurora nodded and headed towards the elevator, making her way to the seventh floor.
The elevator stopped on the seventh floor, and Aurora stepped out to find a towering man standing before her, questioning her presence there. She showed some tension, as if she were afraid as if something was making her nervous, despite her almost breaking the man's neck if it weren't for her self-control. She pulled out the paper she had taken from the reception desk and handed it to him. He took the paper from her and said, "Please follow me." They walked together towards the large door directly in front of the elevator.
The giant man opened the door for her, then gestured for her to enter, saying, "The last contestant has arrived." He closed the door behind her, leaving her inside to gaze at the people in the huge hall before her. It felt like she had stepped into Victorian times—all the furniture here was Victorian-era. As for the people present, Hector was sitting in one of the chairs a little away from the crew, and on her right, two people seemed like a couple sitting next to each other on a red couch. Aurora dropped her bag out of excitement, looking as if she were flying with joy. She was extremely happy, like a cute child, capturing the attention of everyone present with her charming smile, which hinted at her captivating beauty.
A journey into the heart of darkness, where love and longing collide in a battle for the ages. For in the shadows of desire, anything is possible, and only those who dare to embrace the darkness can truly find the light.
