Micah
The next morning I groggily walked into the kitchen, trying to rub the sleep out of my eyes. What little sleep that I did get overnight wasn’t too stellar due to the constant mind fuck of another omega sleeping with Alistair. I knew I couldn’t say or do anything.
He wasn’t my alpha.
I was the one who had rejected him over and over again.
The omega I had been unwantedly listening to overnight was standing in the kitchen, going through the cupboards, trying to find something. He wore what looked to be one of Alistair's work shirts, and it rested just below his ass cheeks.
I cleared my throat, and the little thing looked like he was about to jump out of his skin. He turned around quickly, clutching onto his chest. “W-Who are you?” His eyes were wide.
“I live here. I think I should be asking that question.” I rolled my eyes, yawning as if I were bored. After a moment of silence and him shifting back and forth on his feet, he shook his head. “Well?” I went to the cabinet where the cups were. I grabbed one for both of us and sat them down on the counter.
“Alistair didn’t tell me someone was living with him…” He said quietly, leaning back on the counter.
“So someone not that important to him then?” I raised a brow.
The omega furrowed his brows, and I could tell he was upset about what I said. He opened and closed his mouth a few times, and then he shook his head. “You don’t know anything about Alistair.” He finally managed to sputter out.
I took a few steps toward him, and if he could back up further than he already had, he would have.
“I know enough about him.” I shrugged, chuckling at the scared little omega. I backed away, remembering it wasn’t worth my peace to go after Alistair’s possible one-night stand.
I didn’t want to show the omega that my feelings were beyond hurt. Hell, I didn’t want Alistair to know that my heart felt like it would collapse at the sight of the two of them together.
I hated myself for being vulnerable with Alistair. I hated that I was stupid enough to finally let my walls crumble, just to have to turn around and have to put them right back up again.
The sound of the alpha entering the kitchen broke both of us out of our challenging gazes. “Good morning.” He greeted me, running a hand through his messy hair. Alistair was dressed in a neatly tailored suit that fit him just enough to see every curve and muscle he had. The alpha then glanced at the other omega in the room. “Andrew, what are you still doing here? I thought I told you to go home after we were done last night.” Alistair furrowed his brows.
“Ace, you know to call me Andy.” The omega replied. “And remember? We both fell asleep. You were the one that pulled me to your chest last night and told me to stay after we were done.” Andy smirked at me as if to tell me that he won the battle.
“I thought you were someone else,” Alistair shrugged, “Tell your father that I will see him later.”
Andy’s face turned into a scowl. “Why don’t we go and get lunch together? Then we can go to my father’s later to discuss what we were talking about last night.”
Alistair rubbed a hand through his hair and shook his head. “I’m good, and I’ll see you later, Andy. Please leave my shirt behind.”
I returned the smirk that Andy had given me and took a sip of my water. I could tell that I had pissed him off with my actions, but honestly, after what Alistair just did, I felt more secure in my place.
If steam could come out of his ears, they’d be whistling with the look of anger he gave me. He stomped up to Alistair and grabbed his face in his hand, pinching his cheeks together to make him look like a fish, and planted a kiss on his lips. “I’ll see you later.” He turned back to smirk at me before exiting the room.
I rolled my eyes and sat my cup down on the counter. “Whatever,” I mumbled under my breath.
“What’s the matter?” Alistair seemed concerned.
I shrugged my shoulders, not wanting him to hear my voice crack with the tears that stupidly began to pool in my eyes. I took another sip of my water, trying to calm myself down. “Nothing.” I finally replied to him.
I looked up at Alistair, and he shrugged his shoulders. “Alright,” he replied. “Anyways, I have a meeting with Andy’s father tonight and probably won’t be home until late at night. We have a business transaction to go over.” He said, pulling his phone out of his pocket, and I could hear the clicking of him typing something. “I gotta go. Maybe tomorrow we can have dinner or something?”
“Are you confusing me for your boyfriend?” I furrowed my brows in frustration and confusion. “Do you need to get your head checked?”
Alistair blinked a few times, confused about what I was even saying. “I mean, you’re the only one in the room. Who else would I be asking? He’s not my boyfriend either.”
“The man you were loudly fucking last night?” I couldn’t keep the disgusted look off of my face any longer.
“Hey, I just needed to get my rocks off.” He shrugged. “I meant no harm in it.” I bit down on my bottom lip to keep from saying any more than I already had. If he wanted to fuck me, he could have had me. If he wanted more from me? At this point, he’d have to get down on his knees and kiss my feet while begging.
“I’m busy.” I snapped, shaking my head. “You should ask your boyfriend.”
“C’mon, you act like you didn’t fuck every Tom, Dick, and Harry.” He replied in an accusing tone. “I’m just asking to eat dinner with my roommate.” The word roommate stung. I couldn’t lie to myself. “‘S not like I was asking you on a date or something.” He said.
I frowned. “I’m busy.” I said in a ‘that’s final’ tone. I didn’t want to let him know he succeeded in hurting my feelings. Him bringing up my past conquests, which I didn’t know he even knew about. Maybe it was that freaky sense of smell alphas who would tell me that they could smell others on me. I did what I had to do to make enough to live. Even if I wasn’t living comfortably or eating the right foods, I at least had a roof over my head, and that’s all I cared for and was grateful for.
He didn’t know that he had just hurt my feelings, and I sure as hell wouldn’t let him know that either. I could feel myself putting up those walls that I wanted to tear down for so long, up again.
I mean, I was his roommate, after all.

Alistair
I knew I’d fuck it up somehow. I just didn’t know how quickly I’d do it. Not only had I upset Micah, but I also pissed him off in the process.
Maybe I got too cocky? A little too egotistical?
Andy was another mob boss's omega son. We tended to fool around every once in a while. It was more of a comfort fuck, than anything. We knew each other, and we knew that we didn’t fuck around like many of our people did. I needed to let that stress out from work and my other sleazy shit. But most importantly, I needed to fuck something before I ended up going with my primal instincts and fuck Micah while he was just starting to get comfortable with me around.
Of course, Andy would tease Micah. He always did that to people to get a scope of how they were.
“Y’know that omega living with you right now is a bit spicy,” Andy told me. He was standing outside his father's bar, casually smoking a cigarette. “I almost had to tell him to put his little cock away.” He chuckled. “He’s a bit crazy for you.”
“Yeah, right.” I rolled my eyes. “I probably just fucked that up big time because he was pissed after you left.”
“Well, my friend, did you say something stupid?” He put his hand on my shoulder. “Knowing you and that empty head of yours, of course, you did.” Andy chuckled and shook his head.
“Hey, don’t be an ass.” I furrowed my brows.
“I have one. It doesn’t mean I am one,” Andy replied, shaking his hips a little.
“I probably said a few stupid things.” I mean, I really did. I shouldn’t have brought up him sleeping with others. It was a piss poor deflection to get the topic of conversation off of me.
“You? No.” He drawled. “Never.” Andrew grabbed my hand and pulled me into the bar. He took me to the back, away from customers. He pulled me into a back sitting room and motioned for me to sit down on one of the velvet couches. “Now, tell me what you did to that poor thing.”
