A lady in a white silk dress danced in the prairie field, laughing and smiling with no care in mind while I just stood at the tree lines, staring at her. She twirled coming to a complete stop as our eyes connected. She smiled and skipped her way towards me while I tried to move, but couldn’t.
“You are a beauty. The destiny truly knew who they were looking for,” She smiled at me as she stood right in front of me, “Oh, don’t be scared of me, dear. I’m here to help,”
“Help? How?” I asked as she cupped my face with her hands
“You have so much potential, dear, that its been wasted over these past years,” She kissed my forehead, “May our ancestors bless you and keep you shielded from horror. You’ll bring great fortunes to our lives,”
I sat up abruptly, panting. That was a weird and vivid dream that I could still feel her hands on my face. I got out of bed and walked to the bathroom, but stopped when I noticed my bag glowing. I catiously walked towards it and slowly opened the bag, noticing my crystal ball was glowing. I grabbed the whole bag and went into the bathroom, locking it behind me. I grabbed the crystal ball out of the bag. I stared at it, noticing my vision becoming blurry, but I couldn’t keep my eyes off of it.
‘To the best that know me
I am not a liar, nor do rattle a tale
I speak nothing but the truth to my best accord
Now, that I got your attention, please lend me your ear
The eyes have arrived for you. Now its your turn to help the one in need
It may be wary and dark ahead, but those who you trust will be the light
Trust your gut or me as I’m a wiseful one
Take care my dear Layla’
I stumbled back with the crystal ball in my arms as the glow shone brighter before disappearing to darkness. I just stood there dumbfounded, not understanding what that text meant. All I know is that I have to think long and hard with this.

“Good morning,” I said as I walked into the office, closing the door behind me
I stumbled back as Nemesio’s arms wrapped around me, pulling me into a hug. I patted his back, unsure what to do next as this was new to me.
“I’m sorry. I couldn’t sleep well last night,” He laid his forehead against my shoulder
“Why? Did something keep you up,”
He squeezed my waist, “You did. I was too worried about you and your safety,”
I smiled before rubbing his back, “Well as you can see, I’m alive and well, so you can let go of me now,” He shooked his head, but gave in and back away
My smile dropped as I took his appearance in. His eyesbags were more defined, his complexion looked pale, his long hair was messy not in his usual pushed back neat hairstyle nor was it in a secure ponytail, and his white button down shirt was wrinkled and the top buttons weren’t buttoned and his whole suit was wrinkled. “I don’t understand why you were so worried about me when you should’ve been worried about yourself by the way you look. Stay right there and I’ll fix you up,”
I buttoned up his shirt and fixed the collar, trying to straighten it out. There was nothing else I could do for his suit so I walked around him to his back. I bite my lip, wanting to tangle my hands in his hair, but I stopped myself. “Do you have a hair tie?”
He shook his head and I noticed his blue horns. I looked away before gathering all his hair and creating a low ponytail for him as the hair tie I had extra wouldn’t be able to hold all of his thick hair. I looked back at his horns, noticing his hair was gettng caught. I backed away, trying to control myself from touching it as I remember what Octavio said.
“You look better now,” He turned around and I noticed I didn’t fix his hair from the front, “Nemesio, you need to fix your hair from the front,”
He just stared at me and I waved my hand in front of his face, “Nemesio, can you hear me?”
“That’s the first time you called me by my name,”
I shook my head, “I called you by your name yesterday, so fix your hair,”
He bent down so he was at my height and he closed his eyes, “Can you help me, I can’t see well,”
I sighed, a smiled appearing on my face as I carefully brushed his hair back, enjoying the softness, but it appears, I got to excited when I noticed Nemesio shivering and my eyes widened when I saw my fingers touching his horns. I backed away, my hands covering my mouth.
“I’m so sorry, Nemesio. I didn’t mean to touch you there,”
He looked up at me and smiled. I noticed his face red and flushed as he stood up straighter. “I-I’m alright. No need to worry,”
I could immediately tell he was not alright. “I didn’t know your horns would be that sensitive if I did then I wouldn’t have helped you with your hair,”
He shook his hair, “I asked you to help me so it’s my fault,” He walked to his chair and sat down, “Let’s just focus on work today and ignore my problem,” He smiled up at me, but the redness wouldn’t go down
I walked over to my seat and sat down, taking out my laptop and typed in my login information. “Are we doing the pervious cases from yesterday?”
“Yes as they’re court date is coming up and my fiasco yesterday wasn't helpful so we're delayed,” He typed away on his computer, “So, I'm going to need the basic information on what the case is about and where the process of the verdict is leaning towards,”
“Okay, I'll get right on it,”

I laid on the couch, tired and just wanting to sleep. It's already been a week since I accepted becoming Nemesio's fated one, but I didn't expect the affection. He was a completely person when I met him, but he’s a clingy and attentive person. The reason I’m laying on the couch in his office is because my insomnia caught up to me and I was dozing off so he got worried and told me to rest while he went to get tea. I rolled to my side and stared at the painting on the wall, trying to get myself to fall asleep, but it was useless.
The door opened and I looked over there to see Nemesio, walking in with a drink carrier in his hands. He smiled at me as he walked over to me, setting the carrier on the table, “How are you feeling?”
“I’m feeling alright,” I sat up, but he pushed me back down
“You don’t look alright. I can see the bags underneath your eyes pop out and the way your eyes are wanting to close,” He said, worried as he examined me, “Is this new?”
I shook my head, patting his hand, “Don’t worry to much, Nemesio. I’ve been dealing with this for a while now. Hopefully this tea will help keep me awake a little longer,” I smiled at him as I reached for my tea and took a sip after breathing on it
He sat down on the edge of couch cushions since he didn’t want to sit at the end where my feet were, but close to me, where I had to move my bottom half back a little so I was resting against the couch, “Shouldn’t you have gotten one that would help you sleep?”
“I’ve tried all the remedies and teas, but whenever I go out with my group, I look around and try different teas, fruits or remedies here that could help me with my insomnia,”
“Insomnia? How long have you been dealing with it? And don’t give me your earlier response,” He eyed me down like he could look deep into my soul
I looked down at my cup, “It’s been a few years. I think it’ll go away once I finish school and have a set schedule,” I lied to him and myself
I knew it wasn’t because of that, but I couldn’t make him worry about it and it’s my problem so I had to figure it out on my own.
“I’ll ask around for ways to cure insomnia. For now, just try to rest,” He leaned forward, but stopped himself. He patted the top of my head, got up and walked over to his desk
I sat there, sipping my tea, enjoying the fragence and taste. I started to count sheeps in my head while listening to the key caps clicking. I set the cup on the table and laid back down, fixing the blanket over me and snuggle into, closing my eyes, hoping to get some winks of sleep.
