“So, you already know that we are fated ones and I know you want to take things slowly to which I agree with you on that,” Nemesio wrote on a notepad, “Is there anything else you’ll like to add or know,”
“Why didn’t you tell me in the beginning we were fated ones?”
He set the notepad down, “It’s not a good inductory sentence and we first met each other at that party and others would think I was taking advantage of you and I would’ve gotten into trouble with my brother if they knew I sneaked out of Itosan,”
“Probably that’s why I was attracted to you whenever our eyes met,” I mumbled, “But, I wonder why I became your fated one? I'm just a human and that's why I'm confused,”
He shifted in his spot, “There have been cases or incidents where fated ones are humans and the court have approved of their relationship but they must stay here in Itosan. And it's up to destiny and we go along with it. And I don't have a issue with that,” He smiled at me, “And I won't force you, so you can continue our relationship at a pace you like. If you want to learn more about fated ones or about my hertiage, then I'll give you some books to read,”
I nodded, “I'll very much appreciate it since this is very much new to me. But what about you, Nemesio? Do you have any requests or boundaries for me?”
He looked down at his hands, messing with them before looking back up at me, “I truly don't have anything at the moment, but we'll learn along the way,”
I smiled at him, “You just tell me as I feel bad for being the only one with requests,”
“It's a new experience for us so we'll just learn,”
We just sat there in awkward silence, just staring at each other. I noticed his features became more softer and he didn't harbor any negative emotions.
“Nemesio, should we continue on with work? Or call it a day since it's been a busy morning,” I stratched my cheek
He continued to stare at me, not saying a word, but he reached for my hand and lowered it down, “I would like to look at you if you give me permission,”
“O-oh,” I felt my face blush, “I don't feel comfortable with that but you may for a few minutes,”
“I'm sorry for making you feel awkward,” He let go of my hand and got up, “We can work for the time being,”
I felt bad, so I got up after him, “Um… you can look at me when we're doing work,”
He turned around and smiled at me, “Don't worry, Layla. As long as I can spend time with you thats all that matters,”
I stumbled a little back since our bodies were almost touching. I walked around him and sat in my chair, turning my computer back on. He sat in his chair and I could feel his gaze on me. I just continued to work, just taking glances at him.

“Layla!” Ysennia ran over to me, making me almost drop my tray as she interwined her arm with mine, “You don't know how worried I was,”
“Well I'm alive,” I smiled at her
“Alex is slowly withering away,” She pulled me along to the table, “You have to tell us everything that happened,”
I set my tray down as I sat, smiling at everyone, “All I want to say is I'm glad it's lunch,”
“Well first, you have to tell us what happened. Because Nemesio's brother walked away and then Nemesio just sat there on the bench and I'm so curious of what the hell happened,” Ysennia said, grinning at me, “But from the looks of it, it seems things went well,”
“What?” I followed her gaze and noticed Nemesio looking at us. He smiled once our eyes made contact and went back talking to his coworkers
“There's no way our plan worked that fast,” Sandra said in shock, “Layla, you got yourself a keeper for sure,”
“I guess Alex really sealed the deal,”
“Don't say that,” Alex groaned into his hands, “All I know is that I'm dying today,”
“Well, we did tell you to not show up at his office until the second week of out plan, but it worked out in the end,”
“He seems too excited,” Kelli said, looking at Nemesio before at me, “Are you and him officially dating?”
I took a sip of my soup, “We decided to begin a relationship but it's going to be a slow one,”
“A slow one, she says,” Sandra smirked, but it fell, “Wait, nevermind, let it be slow as we don't know how his.. anatomy is down there,” She look horrified
Ysennia burst out laughing, “No way you just said that, Sandra. Is that why your afraid of them?”
Sandra face blushed, “W-what! Why would I be afraid of that? It's a genuine question as they are different from us,”
“I've researched and some of them do have different anatomy,” Kelli spoke, taking out a notebook
“Kelli, no! For the love of this world,” Alex plugged his ears with his fingers
“I'm intrigued, Kelli,” Ysennia leaned forward on the table, “What kind of different anatomy do they have?”
Kelli flipped through her notebook, “Some are androgynous and I read that some have two male parts. Oh, and that one certain creatures have like bumps on them as well, it says it causes joy to them both,”
We stayed silent as we didn’t expect Kelli to know all these details and that the anatomy is completely different from us. Kelli looked at us, closing her notebook, “I’m sorry for making this awkward and disgusting,”
“No, no, you didn’t, Kelli. I’m just completely shocked that they have different anatomys,” Ysennia said
“Now, I know I’m not messing around with them,” Sandra rubbed her arms as she shivered
I looked at them, “I’m the one in danger,”
“Yeah, right. You seem too exicted,” Alex said, “I saw the corner of your lip twitch,”
I smacked his shoulder, “No, I was not,”
“Damn Layla, I didn’t know you had a freaky side to you,” Ysennia placed her hands on my shoulders, shaking me, “But, your going to have to wait because were still too young to become aunts and uncle,”
“The three of you are being dramatic,” I looked away from them, making eye contact with Nemesio once again
“Her face is getting more red,” Alex chuckled
I looked away, facing forward in her chair. I lowered my head down, trying to calm myself down. I dont understand what was happening to me. Today has been a whirlwind for me

I laid in bed, letting the memories of today recreate itself. After lunch, it was awkward between me and Nemesio, but we made it through the day. He would constantly stare at me and I just know, there was a ‘benefit’ that attribute to our emotions becoming more visible and hard to resist. He even walked with me to the entrance after work which caused my group to gossip amust themselves while I blushed of embarassment. I groaned as I turned in bed, letting my face rest in my pillow.
“Don’t try to kill yourself, Layla. I don’t want to feel the warth of Nemesio Neville,” Ysennia said, joking
I raised my head up to look at her, “I think I’m going to die of embarrassment,”
Ysennia burst out laughing, “If this is because of earlier, don’t worry. We just like teasing you, Layla. It’s always fun to see you happy and we need some drama while here,”
I glared at her, “Well, its only been one day and so much has already happened that I don’t know if my heart can keep on going,”
“Oh, stop being dramatic,” She bent down on the side of my bed, facing me, “Even this is better than having a dry and toxic relationship where there’s no communication nor tension. And just like you said, take it slow since you have the end of the world to love him and create a beautiful realtionship with him,” Ysennia smiled at me
“I didn’t know you could be so sappy. Why haven’t you found someone, Ysennia?”
She smiled, sadly at me, “Let’s just say, I’m not ready to commit at this point of life and just want to focus on me and my future,”
“Well, just know, I have your back and I’ll be supporting you just like you’ve been doing for me,” I grabbed her hand, squeezing it
She nodded before standing up, making my upper body raise up a little, “Enough with this sad stuff. We gotta prepare for tomorrow. Which outfit are you wearing tomorrow?” She walked over to my luggage, making my hand drop on the bed
I groaned, “Ysennia, I’ll deal with that in the morning. I’m exhausted,”
“Fine then. I’ll take matters into my hands,” I heard her rummaging, “I didn’t know you brought a skirt. This will look well. Nemesio won’t be able to take his hands off you,”
I jumped up into a sitting position, “Ysennia!”
