Arthur and eight other knights were now locked. In front of them was what looked like a stone temple. There were a plenty of torches already lit around the area, and so lighting wasn't too big an issue for Arthur or his knights. The torches though, were burning in green, and so there was this eerie green light reflected all over the stone. Arthur stood looking at the whole area, he was amazed by it though at the same time he was nervous, nervous about what lied ahead, nervous about what was in this temple.
He turned around and noticed a blue glow around the circular door. All the symbols were lit up too, In the same colour. 'I don't like this, I want to get out of here' said Arthur to himself in a nervous voice. 'Where's the hammer guy, could he smash that door?' The knight whom Arthur referred to as “the hammer guy” was standing right next to him
'I'll try' he said, though there wasn't too much confidence in his voice. And so that knight went up to the door, took a great big swing of his hammer, and hit the door, only for the glowing field around it to block the swing entirely, who fell after he hit the door.
'Oh great, we really are stuck here aren't we?!' yelled Arthur, before the knight was able to say anything.
'We could try and find a way out' stated one of the knights.
'OK, let's do that.' said Arthur. And so he went to other side of the room, of which there was a stone staircase. He walked up towards it and went past the arch at the top, though as soon as he did that, another energy field appeared, trapping him inside on his own. As that happened he was livid. He started bashing the field and everything around it like crazy, though nothing happened. 'Whoever you are, damn you! Damn you to hell!' screamed Arthur, he voice echoed throughout the room and he was gasping as if he had run a hundred miles.
Arthur turned around though, in the middle of the room was a gigantic cauldron, large enough to swallow two whole horses. Arthur looked at it, and suddenly, all of his anger disappeared, he became terrified instead. There was a large grumbling noise coming out of that cauldron, and a green liquid was dripping out of the top of this. Arthur got unnerved as he saw this, very slowly focusing towards the cauldron.
As Arthur looked up, he saw a monster, it was a giant snake made entirely out of a skeleton. It had a dragon-like head and had that green liquid dripping all over it. As soon as it noticed Arthur, it lunged it's head forward at him. Arthur leaped out of the way and the giant snake smashed it's head into a wall, breaking the wall in the process. He was terrified and started running away.
He was just panicking and panicking, there was no obvious way out of the area nor was there any obvious way of defeating the monster. Also there were more of those bugs emerging from the cauldron and chasing after him. Suddenly however, to the right at the end of the room, there was a rope ladder, Arthur instinctively ran towards it and started climbing it. As he was doing this though the bugs were chasing him and he had no way of fending them off.
The ladder was roughly two stories tall and Arthur was a quarter of a way up it when the bugs started going on it too. The snake monster was also trying to kill him too and again lunged towards him with him being on the ladder. The monster did just that, it hit the ladder underneath Arthur though missed him entirely and crushed the bugs beneath him. This caused the ladder to swing sideways though with Arthur hanging for his life.
Arthur kept on climbing, with more bugs on their way to kill them. He tried climbing as fast as he could, though he was rather tired and shivering in fear. Once the monster regained it's balance and when another batch of bugs got on to the ladder, he was halfway up. But the bugs were somehow moving quicker than he was, so he was still in danger. And once he got near the top, some of the bugs crawled on to him.
Arthur started really panicking, though at this point he was at the top of the ladder and reached for the ledge above. He immediately started running around at this point, trying to shake off the bugs before they could do anything to him. He then decided to pull the bugs off of his body, throw them onto a wall or onto the ground and crushed them dead. He was still in danger though, there were more of them coming from the ladder. He brandished his sword, and then started slicing away at the ones that managed to reach the top. After that he went up to ladder, put his sword out in a position to cut the rope, but then, after a five second pause of him looking around and noticing that there was no other way down, he decided to leave the ladder alone.
