Sonne
Walking aimlessly was his only desire, the omega didn't want to go to his mother's house and he didn't want to return home either. He just wanted the tears to stop falling and for that pain to go away... How did he never realize how trapped he was? How did he not realize that all of Faux's obsession couldn't bring him any good?
Sonne felt so guilty for allowing himself to live in that situation and at the same time so angry that Faux had controlled him and taken advantage of his fragility... But he could still feel that their relationship was true, that despite the relationship having If it became something that wasn't healthy for both of them they could still work it out, right? Therapy was a good way, he had been in therapy for a while, why had he really stopped? Right... Faux...
The omega's mind was confused and painful and the tears didn't seem to stop, so he just walked and walked until he found himself in the vicinity of his mother's house, but he was afraid that Faux would come after him and make some scandal in front of him. of his siblings, so he went to drown his sorrows in a bar.
It’s even more depressing to drink alone, who should I call?
Sonne looked through the phone, all his friends that he had lost contact with over the years when a name caught his attention “Lehrer”, he and the professor had become great friends and used to drink together, whenever Sonne performed Lehrer was going to give your support.
Does he still live around here?
Without thinking much, Sonne sent a series of messages saying that he was drinking alone in the neighborhood and that if he was free to meet him there, his messages were quickly answered and a very surprised Lehrer appeared 15 minutes later.
“Wow Sonne, are you okay?” said the guy with silver hair, sitting next to the omega.
“Is it that noticeable?”
“It is! I found your messages strange, but it seems much worse than I imagined.”
“I broke up with Faux” said Sonne, taking a sip of his beer.
“I'm happy to hear” Lehrer said, hugging Sonne “He's always been an asshole.”
“Why didn't you ever tell me?”
“I thought you knew and liked him anyway…” Lehrer said, laughing.
“He was always good to me... But…” Sonne started crying again.
“I always thought it was kind of weird how you guys started dating after that bar mess, so I was sure you knew what an asshole he is.”
“Do you know about that?”
“I was there, don't you remember?”
Sonne looked at Lehrer trying to remember everything from that night, but he really couldn't, it was very painful to access all those memories and even more painful now... All that was left of that day was the feeling of gratitude he had for Faux having him helped.
“I really don't remember.”
It was then that Lehrer learned that Sonne didn't know the full story, he ordered another beer and told him everything that had happened at that time.
After Mond's disappearance, all Sonne did was go out drinking and making out with the first person who came along, it was almost a mantra, singing, drinking and fucking and Faux couldn't stand that, because the omega paid attention to all men and women, but never to him, despite the beta being the only one who really cared, who listened to his outbursts, helped with his medications and accompanied him to all his appointments, because Sonne looked like he could collapse at any minute.
Every night to end the performance, Sonne sang “Somebody that I used to Know” and that night was no different:
But you didn't have to cut me off
Make it out like it never happened and that we were nothing
And I don't even need your love
But you treat me like a stranger and that feels so rough
No, you didn't have to stoop so low
Have your friends collect your records and then change your number
I guess that I don't need that though
Now you're just someone that I used to know
It was always the last song of his performance and it was always the most emotional, but it always ended with Sonne crying and leaving the stage amid applause, he insisted on that song because it was the way he dealt with sadness, music was always his place of comfort and although the lyrics hurt, reminding him of the abandonment he had suffered so abruptly was also a form of consolation.
Faux was waiting for him at the bathroom door.
“Don't forget to take your medicine” he said.
Obediently Sonne took the suppressant and went into the bathroom to wash his face, after that his memories were a blur, he only remembers waking up on the bathroom floor with Faux sitting in front of him trying to bring his consciousness back.
It was this part of the nebula that Lehrer told, in fact he suspected that Faux had given an aphrodisiac instead of the suppressant, because when the professor went to the bathroom to look for the omega the bathroom was locked, and when he smelled the aroma of Sonne and the omega's voice of despair, he broke down the door.
Faux was trying to verbally convince Sonne that he could help him with the heat, while the omega denied it, it was Lehrer who gave Sonne suppressants and stayed by his side until they took effect, he only left when he thought his friend had recovered consciousness, but apparently he was still out of it.
“Are you telling me that Faux created a situation to try to sleep with me?” Sonne shouted, upset.
“I saw the aphrodisiacs in the bathroom, I shouldn't have left you with him that night... But somehow he convinced me to leave and I was sure you were conscious... It's also my fault…”
“Damn, it's not your fault” shouted Sonne “It’s that son of a bitch fault!!!! How can you blame yourself for his actions??? Of course, you would never imagine he would try to do something like that.”
“Do you think that if I hadn't arrived, he would have achieved something?”
Sonne knocked on the table.
“In the end he got much more than he expected and deserved, didn't he?”
“I felt very guilty these last few years.” said Lehrer sadly
“You did what you could, but now I got rid of that backrest! Let's drink!”
Sonne and Lehrer continued to drink and talk, they remembered their time at college and how Sonne was a terrible cook which made them become friends somehow, the redhead was the worst student Lehrer ever had and was a real challenge for him, they got closer and closer until they became inseparable, but when Faux entered the scene as a boyfriend and became increasingly jealous and possessive, Sonne moved away and they saw less and less of each other and ended up just exchanging messages every now and then .
The sadness that Sonne felt before had turned into hatred and he didn't know what he would do if he found Faux in front of him, how could he deceive him all these years? What other tricks did he do to keep the omega by his side? It was impossible to trust a person like that…
Lehrer was happy to see his friend freeing himself from the bonds of a toxic relationship, but he wished he had done more and that Sonne hadn't taken so long to realize the trap he had fallen into.
The two omegas drank and laughed until the bar closed, when they were leaving Sonne's cell phone rang, an unknown number.
“Is it Faux???” Lehrer asked.
“He didn't try to call me from his number, why would he call me from an unknown number?”
“So you're going to answer?”
“Hello?” Sonne said groggily as he brought the cell phone to his ear.
“Sonne? This is Ami, Mond's friend, remember me? From college?”
“It's Ami” said Sonne, covering the phone with her hand.
“Mond’s friend?”
Sonne nodded.
“Of course I remember you! I will never forget the warm welcome you gave me when I arrived at college.”
“I know it's late, but can we talk about Mond?”
Sonne spent a while looking at Lehrer, when an idea appeared in his mind, he smiled and said:
“I need to talk to Mond, can you give me his number? No, what's his address better?”
“What are you thinking?” Lehrer asked.
Sonne signaled for silence.
“Hum, of course…”
“I'm waiting for your message with the address, bye bye.”
Lehrer took the phone from Sonne and said:
“What will you do? You are in no condition to go after anyone, especially Mond!”
“I know I'm drunk, obviously I'm going to spend the night at your house today” he said smiling. “But first, can you give me my cell phone back? I need to do something.”
“Do you promise you won't do anything stupid?”
Sonne raised his hand, crossed his fingers and said:
“Promise”
Lehrer laughed and returned the cell phone saying:
“They say that anyone who crosses their fingers is lying, but I'm going to give you this vote of confidence!”
Sonne took out his cell phone and dialed Faux's number, on the first ring he answered.
“Hello? Sonne?”
“Look here Faux, you are a fake manipulator! You keep saying that Mond is a bastard monster, but the only bastard monster here is you! Forget therapy, we're done here, for me you are dead Faux!” Sonne said in one breath and hung up the phone.
“Wow, I didn't expect that one.”
“Now let's go to sleep, tomorrow I have to solve one more thing.”
