“Oh,” Jillian felt a chill run down the length of her spine. “I mean, well, no, not in that sense.”

“In what sense, otherwise?”

“No, never, in no such sense at all.” Jillian shook her head wide-eyed. “I mean, we do have our fun, like in teasing one another, but I mean, it’s all just harmless fun.”

“So you’ve never had a man make any kind of advance here, maybe offer you something in return, maybe a raise, for say a sexual favor.”

“Good heavens, no.” Jillian almost fell out of her chair.

“Please, calm down.” Gina stood up. “These are just routine questions of the Employee Satisfaction survey. If you haven’t experienced any kind of sexual harassment, then that’s a good sign, but you can always tell me, these interviews are absolutely confidential.”

“Oh, okay.”  Jillian took a deep breath.

“Take a sip of water, Miss McKnight.” Gina offered. “And relax. We’re nearly done here.”

Jillian nodded and accepted the glass of water the other woman held out to her.
