“Yes, he takes his coffee thrice a day.” Jillian nodded. “Every day.”
“So your job really is very important.” Gina Lucien smiled at her again.
“If you would like to think so.” Jillian replied, slightly uncomfortable by the woman’s over eager tone, but only for that brief moment.
“Oh, I do, I do.” The blonde woman nodded her head. “You get to meet the man himself, the great Dietrich ‘Deke’ Hammer, every single day.”
“Yeah, I do,” Jillian bit her lip. “But I doubt he even knows I’m there. I just serve him the coffee and leave.”
“Oh, he must have noticed you.” Gina leaned closer. “At least a few times over the year and half you’ve been serving him.”
“Well, I started serving Mister Hammer’s office only about three months ago.” Jillian sighed and leaned back on her chair. “And usually I serve his coffee at a side table near the window, never at the main desk in his office.”
