Chapter 12
Zavier internally laughed as he pulled Kaine to a new part of the store, he quickly picked out a few items without letting Kaine look at them and pushed him into the changing rooms.
“Zavier... How do I even wear this?” Kaine had his band speak aloud for him and Zavier grinned.
“You’ll figure it out, just try a little harder.” He had failed at encouraging him and could almost feel the annoyance radiating from the changing room. After a few minutes of what sounded like a fight with a rabies infected racoon, Kaine exited the room.
He wore a gray t-shirt that was cut off at the midsection, black sweatpants, and an embarrassed look on his face. Zavier smirked and threw another outfit at him after having him spin around a bit.
The next outfit was worse. By a lot. Kaine simply glared at Zavier after coming out the second time. He wore a skintight red mesh shirt with a very short white crop top underneath. His pants were ripped at the knees and tucked into the black leather platform boots that he wore.
Zavier chuckled and shook his head, “See, you still look good in this. It’s unfair, frankly.” Kaine merely grimaced at the sight of himself in the mirror. “Okay, maybe it’s not your style… But at least you’re still hot, no?” Zavier smirked and Kaine rubbed his neck where a blush had begun to creep up his neck.
He quickly texted Zavier to take him to the next style. It was the last one that Zavier had considered for Kaine. After all, it was cottagecore; in what world would a murderer wear cottagecore? Regardless, he had decided to have Kaine still try it. Maybe all of the soft, earthy tones would make him a little less scary.
“Hopefully his red hair and blue eyes don’t clash with this…” Zavier muttered as he threw some clothing at Kaine to try on.
It didn’t take Kaine as long to change this time, but when he came out Zavier just stared at him.
“While it doesn’t make any sense for this to work… It kind of does.” He walked around Kaine a few times as he inspected the clothes. Kaine was a fit man, but he looked so much cuter in the soft browns, greens, blues, whites, creams, and tans.
The outfit that Kaine came out with was a soft tan sweater and a dark brown turtleneck underneath, his dark brown pants looked like slacks, but comfier. Kaine was smiling this time.
