It’s just Wednesday; another two days before the weekend, Jillian thought as she cleared the coffee cups off the table. She looked forward to the two days of rest that her frail body and troubled mind so sorely needed.

“So, Silly Jilly, did he even spare you a glance this time?” Jillian heard Sylvie address her as she walked back into the service kitchen with her head hung low.

“Um… no.” She replied, placing the tray with the two empty coffee cups on the counter.

“And he never will, babe.” Dana chided her. “He’s way above of your league…”

“I mean, I get that…” Jillian sighed. “But, I don’t know… I feel so attracted to him…”

“So do a whole lot of other women,” Sylvie gave her a smirk. “…most of them way higher up than you in looks and status.”

“And by the time he’s through all of them… you’d probably be fifty years old.” Dana added with a derisive laugh.
