KANG DAE
The moment of the date arrived and I was at Rainbow’s door, my free hand reached for the doorbell while the other stood in place holding the bag where I put what I prepared for our date. I wanted to surprise Rainbow with something he liked and I remembered how much he had praised my sweet rice cakes, so I spent my morning preparing a fresh batch of them, making different flavors from the ones I left at the omega’s door back when I moved in.
The door opened and Rainbow stood there with a smile. He was wearing a pink wool crop top and high-waisted blue jean shorts that showed his beautiful and delicate legs. His hair was up in a bun, he had changed his collar to a pink leather one that matched what he was wearing. I had given up on the idea of not trying to have a relationship with him. My body, heart, and soul longed to be together with him and I couldn’t ignore it anymore. ‘Today is the day I’ll confess my feelings.’
“Hi, Kang Dae,” Rainbow said. The way he said my name rang in my ears and mind, and I wanted him to keep saying my name more and more.
“Hi, Rainbow. Are you ready?” I asked, smiling and he nodded, stepping out of the apartment and closing the door behind him. I noticed the basket he was carrying in his hand. “Let me help you with that.”
“You don’t have to, it’s not that heavy.” He said but I ignored him, taking the basket in my hand.
“I still want to help you so I’ll carry it,” I said with a playful smile lifting the basket to him.
“Fine. Let’s go.” He said pouting as he started to walk to the elevator doors. I held back a laugh and followed him. ‘He is so cute.’

RAINBOW
When we arrived at the park I set up the red plaid blanket I had packed in my basket on the ground. Kang Dae sat down next to me, smiling from ear to ear. He had a beautiful smile, one of the traits I loved about him aside from his really broad shoulders and those big pectorals and marked abdomen that looked even better today because of the tight-fitted black shirt he was wearing. The fabric was barely hanging together, it felt like it would break any minute now with how tight it was.
‘Stop before you start drooling. We don’t want to make a bad impression on him.’ Vivi scolded me. ‘But I agree, it’s going to break.’
I giggled at Vivi’s last statement and finished getting all the food and drinks from the basket. I decided to go for chickpea shawarma wraps, crudités, potato salad, homemade basil and tomato focaccia bread, and chocolate cookies. I was proud of how everything turned out. I turned to look at Kang Dae and held back from laughing at his facial expression. He was speechless.
“Wow, you made a whole feast.” Kang Dae said, impressed, looking at all the food, his fingers squeezing the two lunch boxes he brought in his bag. “So fancy too”
“I got carried away while cooking.” I giggled and leaned in a bit. “What did you bring?”
“Well…” He gulped down and then placed the two boxes on top of the blanket taking off the lids. “I made some sweet rice cakes because you liked them so much and some kimchi and bulgogi gimbap.”
‘Oh God/dess…’ My mouth watered just looking at them. I've always loved Asian food; it smelled so good too.
“That looks so good,” I said I was excited to try them.
“I brought some cucumber kimchi on the side too. It’s always a good companion for foods.” Kang Dae said with a smile. “I made it myself, I hope it’s of your liking.”
‘I want to marry him.’ How can he keep getting more perfect each time I see him? I’m so glad the God/dess made him my other half.
“Shall we eat?” I asked impatient and excited.
As soon as Kang Dae nodded I took a piece of the gimbap to my mouth. An explosion of flavors hit all my taste glands and I let out a moan of pleasure; my mouth just had an orgasm. Kang Dae’s amazing laugh rang in my ears and I blushed. How could I forget I’m in public with him? I’m so embarrassed right now.
“By your reaction, I can tell I did a good job.” He said with a playful smile on his face and I nodded, swallowing down the piece of gimbap.
“Sorry for that embarrassing reaction. It is delicious.” I said embarrassed.
“I’m glad you like it.” Kang Dae said and took a bite of one of the shawarmas I made, he nodded in approval to the taste. “This. This right here. It’s the best shawarma I’ve had in a while.”
“Thanks, it’s my Papa’s recipe.” I proudly smiled. In moments like this, I was grateful for all the strict cooking lessons my Papa gave me.
“Really? Your dad is an amazing cook.” He said and took another bite of the shawarma.
“He is, we grew up eating a variety of foods from all over the world,” I said smiling and then took a bite of my shawarma after putting some cucumber kimchi on top.
“Oh? Is he a chef?” Kang Dae asked drinking some of the soda I brought too. He said he liked Coke so I brought a bottle for both of us; I liked Coke too.
“No, he is a doctor but his passion was always cooking.” I giggled and Kang Dae did the same. “My brother and my dad also love his cooking.”
“Oh, you have a brother?” Kang Dae asked giving me a curious look and then took a crudité to his mouth.
“Yes, well. Not by blood. I’m actually adopted.” I confessed to him. He stopped eating his crudité, I could see how his eyes showed pity for me and I didn’t want that.
“Oh…”
“But my family is the best, even if we have our ups and downs I love them a lot. I’m thankful to them.” I said with a big smile, it wasn’t a lie that I didn’t love them. Being raised by Jamie and Layton and having Mason as a brother helped me a lot back then.
“That’s nice. I need to thank them too, for raising you so well.” Kang Dae said with a flirty smile and I softly blushed.
“Yes, they care about me a lot. Especially my brother.” I said with a big smile. Growing up Mason had times when he was mean to me, but I always knew that deep down he cared for me, a lot I would say; he beat up one of my cheating exes when he found out of their infidelity. “He is getting married soon too. That’s why I’ve been busier lately, one of my best friends is his mate.”
“Weddings sound hard to prepare.” The alpha mentioned taking a bite of the focaccia bread, he made a sound of pleasure while he ate it and I smiled at that gesture.
“Yeah they are, but the result is always pleasant. My other friend got married a few months ago and it was magical.” I said doing a little shimmer with my hands to emphasize the ‘magical’ part.
“Maybe you will go through that someday.” Kang Dae said with a soft smile.
“I wish to…with someone special.” I gave him a shy look and a flirty smile while taking a bite of my focaccia bread. He looked at me as if he wanted to say something.
Ring Ring! Kang Dae’s phone started to ring, interrupting him. I had a flashback at our first date when he had to leave because he had work to do. I got a bit sad thinking maybe the story would repeat, again. He took it out, turned it to silent mode, and then put it back in his pocket.
“You are not answering?” I asked confused looking at him.
“No, it’s not important and I’m busy right now.” He said taking another bite of the focaccia. I held back a giggle.
“Really? Busy doing what?” I asked jokingly as if I didn’t know it was because of our date.
“Busy with eating this feast and getting to know a beautiful omega.” Kang Dae said giving me a flirty look and winking his right eye at me.
I laughed while blushing at his words and he laughed with me.

After that we kept talking and eating, getting to know each other better. The night arrived and our food was over so we packed everything up and took a ride back home on the new motorbike Kang Dae had bought a few days ago, it was really cool and he looked sexy riding it. I was happy with how our date had turned out but I didn’t want it to be over yet.
‘Ask him. Ask if he feels the bond.’ Vivi said and I nodded, looking at the alpha. ‘It’s now or never.’
“Kang Dae,” I called him and he turned to look at me with a smile. “Have you heard about fated mates?”
“Yes, I have. Just recently though.”
“Do you believe in them?” I curiously asked.
“I didn’t at first but now that I found them I do.” He said and I processed his words. I stopped abruptly looking at him. Did he know it was me? Or is he thinking it’s someone else?
“You found them?” I asked him. He smiled and walked to me, never looking away from my eyes.
“Yes. He is standing right in front of me.” Kang Dae said and I gasped. He did know. “I really like you, Victor Lowell. I want to be your alpha. Will you be my omega?”
I was speechless. I didn’t know what to say at first so I just laughed. It was funny to me how both of us wanted to confess today, like those wedding proposal videos where both of the couples had prepared a ring, and one of them proposed while the other took their ring out and proposed too. The whole situation was comedic to me and right now it felt just like that.
“Why are you laughing? It was not a joke, it’s true.” Kang Dae said, his brows furrowed confused with my reaction.
“I know, know. It’s just…I was going to confess today too but you won me first.” I said with a smile looking into his eyes, I walked a step closer to him.
“Oh…” Was all Kang Dae said, I took another step closer to him and placed my hands on his broad chest, moving them up to his shoulders and standing on my tiptoes.
“And my answer is yes, I want to be your mate,” I said before joining my lips to his in a romantic and passionate kiss. Vivi purred loudly in the back of my mind, I could tell how happy he was.
Kang Dae’s lips didn’t waste time before they started battling mine. His strong big hands covered the side of my hips, pulling me up a bit and I thanked him for that because my toes were hurting and I didn’t want to pull apart from the kiss.
