This comes from a class I went to on learning to wear a yukata. Basically, the trick to wearing a yukata: be very, very flat in all directions. Be a board. They kept tucking extra towels in so that I would be less curvy and more flat. In the end, I felt really bad for being so curvy, since it meant people kept having to loan me towels, and when a teacher was helping me, she would be all "why is this not fitting quite right? oh you have HIPS" and then I would be all "sooooorrryyyyyy! T___T "
Also, the Japanese in the third panel says "Komatta na~" which means, not literally, but essentially "That's a problem" or "that's gonna be an issue..."
Slice-of-Life comic about my family's life in Japan. I live in Aichi Prefecture with my wife, kiddo, and 4 cats and I work as a freelance comic creator and artist.
The comic started in 2010 and hasn't really had a home, so I'll be uploading the archive here for folks to enjoy, and to post new comics once we catch up.
