The day had grown dark since his meeting had started. He had watched as the sun set behind the trees and the noise of a party grow louder behind him. Crash glanced up at the moon as he headed back to the main area. With a quick motion of his hand, it was filled with a cold beer. He took an empty seat by the huge bonfire that had been started since he left. His ice-blue eyes watched as a few of the women danced in front of him, locking eyes with a few of them.
It wouldn't be a lie to say that any of the single women here would be lucky to have him. Cockyness showed on his face as he thought about it. It was one thing to be with a member but another to be with a table member of a chapter. However, much like Brandon, Crash wasn't looking for anything serious. He enjoyed the fun he had sleeping around too much. Even a few of his brothers joked that he was starting to get old and needed to change his ways if he wanted to have someone for the long hall.
Crash personally didn't see thirty as old. Thirty was barely in the prime for a man these days, especially for a man like him. Thinking back to his birthday, all his brothers in his chapter acted like it was his funeral, making jokes and picking on him all night at the clubhouse. He wondered what they were going to do once he turned forty and still didn't have a steady relationship.
"You like to stare a lot." Commented Quinn from behind Crash. He had been eyeing the woman just as he had been doing to him earlier in the day.
"Keep moving, kid." Crash motioned with his hand.
Quinn leaned down next to Crash, placing his hand on his shoulder, wanting to make sure he heard him. "You don't . . ." That was all he got up before Crash quickly stood up, swatting his hand away.
"You don't touch the fucking cut." Crash spoke firmly. He wasn't aware of what Brandon told him about the rules around here but touching another's cut wasn't something an outsider did.
Quinn took a step closer to him, not phased but his sudden reaction. "Look. . . " He started to speak again before he was interrupted.
"Hi." Spoke the dark-haired girl that had been dancing, stepping right between the middle of them. Her light eyes glossed over with a high that Quinn could feel himself itching for, cutting a quick look to Quinn before she turned back to Crash, running her hand up the middle of his chest, "Second." She said, "That's sexy." Touching the stitched patch on Crash's cut that stated his position. "You're sexy."
Crash arched an eyebrow at her. He could smell the sweet scent of her strawberry lotion layered with the harsher scent of the dark liquor she had been drinking, giving her a devilish smirk as he took her hand into his.
"So, she can touch it?" Questioned Quinn, irritation in his voice.
Crash laughed. "Yep," he commented pulling, her off behind him and grabbing another beer from the cooler before heading toward his tent.
"Asshole." Huffed Quinn to himself. Quinn hated men like Crash. They thought they were the shit, and no one could say otherwise, knowing that Crash's so-called status around here had gone to his head.
* * * * *
"Thanks for the fun night." Smiled Jenny as she bit into her bottom lip the next morning outside of Crash's tent. "Maybe I'll see you later." She winked, kissing him on the lips.
"Maybe." Replied Crash with no intentions of seeing her again.
He was a one-and-done kind of guy. Why would he want something he's already had again? He had never met a woman who had enough wow factor to keep his attention for more than one night. He tried the whole girlfriend thing a few times when he was younger, but nothing ever worked out, and he was fine with that. He also didn't care for the added drama that came with having a woman. They always got jealous and caused problems for him.
"A real Casanova." Comment Quinn under his breath as he walked by, heading from his tent. That was further back from the main area.
"See." Spoke Crash stretching his arms up over his head, "It's shit like that that gets you in trouble."
Quinn looked over his shoulder, wondering how Crash even heard him.
"Also, you're right. I am an asshole and proud of it."
Oh yeah, Crash heard that little remark too.
