RoaR#20
The elf jumped up on the tree to follow after Katrina and to not let her attack Roar again. She looked back and saw Roar Clashing with Drake and she wished him luck as she turned her head and followed after Katrina deeper into the jungle.
She jumped from tree to tree to follow after her trail. Suddenly she heard something coming towards her from the back and she swiped at it with her bow and broke it. It was an arrow that was released from Katrina’s bow.
“These kinds of attacks don’t work on me!” the elf turned towards the place where the arrow came from. She released an arrow and rustling noises could be heard as Katrina started moving.
“It almost did.” Katrina’s voice was echoing in the jungle as she was using a technique to hide where she was. An arrow was released towards the elf.
The elf dodged it and let out an arrow of her own. “Not when I’m focused.”
Katrina dodged the arrow that was meant for her and it hit a tree. The tree was pierced. She saw that the elf was really strong and decided to rile her up to get an advantage.” So, you mean to say that the barbarian was the reason you lost focus?”
The elf lost her focus for a second when she heard that but she quickly regained it and dodged, as an arrow was headed towards her. she started moving about in order to find her.
“I take your silence and reaction as affirmation.” Said Katrina as she attacked once again but to no avail. She dodged an attack that was meant for her as well.
“Don’t worry though!” Said Katrina with a vile smile on her face, the vileness seeped into her voice as well. “Master Drake will kill him soon and you won’t get distracted again!”.
The elf knew what Katrina was doing and this time she did not lose her focus and was ready for any attack that was going to be thrown at her. but it did not come. Seconds passed as if they were hours for her and no attack came. Suddenly her expression changed to one of panic. “Roar!” muttered the elf as she thought to herself that Katrina left her in the woods and circled around her to go and help her master against Roar. She thought that he had no chance against the both of them together.
The elf turned quickly to try and move towards Roar but the moment she did, Katrina showed up from behind her and released a multitude of arrows. The elf looked back and was shocked, she tried dodging all of the arrows. All were dodged but one, it landed right in her thigh. She grimaced with pain and landed on a tree branch as she held her leg.
Katrina landed on a nearby tree with her bow drawn and clearly having the advantage. “You care too much about that stupid barbarian.”. said Katrina with an amused expression.
The elf looked at Katrina with an angry expression while holding her leg. She was at a disadvantage as Katrina’s bow was already drawn towards her.
“You are strong, I’ve got to give it to you. I never would have won if not for that barbarian!” Katrina was really amused at how she just won the fight and started laughing.
Suddenly the elf’s ears perked up and she smiled and looked at Katrina. “It’s not over yet.”
“Have you gone crazy? If I let go of this arrow, you’re done. You can’t even move about with that leg of yours. You should be begging me not to kill you.”
To the surprise of Katrina, she could not see the elf for a second as a tree was in front of her view. It was as if it was thrown by someone.
“What…?” said Katrina as she spat blood. She felt searing pain in her neck and saw that an arrow was lodged right in it. She then saw the elf had used that split second to hang from the tree branch using her good leg and let out a precise shot just as the tree passed them by.
“Impossible…” said Katrina as she fell down from the tree while a trail of blood followed her.
The elf sighed a breath of relief. She quickly bandaged her injured leg and muttered to herself. “I’ve got to go and help Roar. I hope he’s ok!”. She got up with much difficulty as her right leg was injured. She tried moving faster but the pain was too much and she could not take it, she cursed at her luck for being injured. “Damn it.” Said the elf as she was frustrated at not being able to get to Roar faster.
She had a bad feeling about the situation and prayed for Roar to be ok. after a while of moving, she could hear clashing and roaring sounds. “Roar!” she forgot the pain and started running towards the sounds.
She moved through many bushes to reach the clearing that they were in. once she got there, she fell silent.
She saw a thick tree that was on the ground and behind it was Roar with a pained expression as Drake had pierced said tree and was laughing as he was shouting. “It’s over Roar, you idiot, I pierced your heart!”.
“NOOOOOOOO!” screamed the elf with a lot of pain in her voice.
The elf’s scream brought joy to Drake’s face, he turned his head and saw the elf and remembered something as his face changed.
“Not… over… yet!” Yelled Roar as he used his stone sword that was in his hand. it was full of holes now after fighting Drake for this long. He swung it at break neck speed at Drake’s head.
Drake tried to take out his spear which was lodged in the tree but he didn’t have enough time to react.
The sword landed square on Drake’s head and breaking sounds could be heard. Both From the sword and his head. The sword shattered after coming into contact with his head. His head also broke and he became instantly unconscious and fell to the ground with his eyes rolled back.
Roar stood there for a second, breathing heavily, he saw the elf running towards him with tears in her eyes. He just smiled towards her and fell face first on the ground. the ground was somewhat bloody now.
