TW: brief mention of physical abuse
What we wear, who we're allowed to be friends with, what we eat, how much we should weigh — the list of what’s not up to us to decide for ourselves, goes on and on.
If someone were to go against Kel, physical punishment was not off the table.
One can receive anything from backhanded slaps across the face to cigarette buds put out on their back, where clothes conveniently cover the scars, to name a couple of examples.
She never got her hands dirty though, her on-off boyfriend often being her right-hand man.
Another fun thing they like to do if you get on either of their wrong side is to give people cute little nicknames, most of which I refuse to even repeat. Basically, they’ll use anything from middle school insults to words with racist undertones, the only thing out of question being your name.
Less of a nickname, but last year Kel literally called a boy a predator because he turned her down.
Speaking of, there were also rumors the reason the guy rejected Kel was because her then-ex-boyfriend told him to do so. They had already been dating on and off at this point but were on one of their breaks when Kel tried to get the guy’s number at a party.
Apparently that didn’t sit well with the then-ex.
Or at least that’s what some people are saying — not sure how much of it is true.
There were witness accounts that the guy left the party early, spending the entire time with other people and never privately with Kel but he ended up moving schools because of the shit that he had to endure due to the rumors.
