“Look what I found!” Princess Pip’s usual soft-spoken voice rose in the air alerting some of the cats from what they were doing. Commander Moon hurried over to find the beagle with three odd looking kittens. “And I thought I had lost them.”
“Are those your kits?” Commander Moon asked.
Beside her, Sparrowclaw shook his head. “Um, who’s the dad? They look off,” he meowed and gagged when Commander Moon nudged him in the side.
Princess Pip smiled warmly. “Oh, he died a while ago,” she woofed. Was the dad a cat for her children to look like cats? Picking her kids up, she headed off to where the refugees stayed as she wasn’t prepared to head back to her kingdom.
Just then, Pigeon flew in camp and landed on top of Commander Moon’s head. “Everything okay?” Commander Moon asked. It’s been a while since she heard anything new from her messenger.
“Hmm, something isn’t right within Misty Family,” chirped Pigeon. “This purple cat seems to be taking control.”
Commander Purple…, the name ringed instantly in Commander Moon’s head. He was the temporary Commander while Commander Hawk was recovering from gruesome wounds from someone. I bet he’s the one to have hurt Commander Hawk in the first place.
“I’ll go there soon as I want to check on Commander Hawk,” meowed Commander Moon. She felt a sudden rush of urgency to do it now, but she wasn’t going to leave alone if that was the case.
“Attack!”
“Who are they?” Mara-lu growled from her cave. She was about to pounce on one of the cats coming in until Sweetie and Tick stopped her since she was expecting kits.
Misty Family…? Commander Moon wasn’t sure why they were attacking but she bashed her head into Redwing when he slashed Trainee Storm’s face. Together, the two hissed at the red tom until he bolted. They’re not putting much of a fight, are they?
Gazing around, she was astonished to see the Misty Family Guardians doing slight scratches on her Guardians while some hissed and backed away whenever they got too close. Annoyance rumbled in her stomach when she had an idea of who did this.
Hopping onto the Tree Stump, she gave her loudest yowl. “Enough!”
At once, the Misty Family cats stopped fighting. Spottedfur dipped her head as she left Maxfire, and he cocked his head to one side as the spotted molly stood in front of Commander Moon.
“This battle was anticlimactic,” Maxfire noted and one of the Misty Family cats named Blueberry chuckled nervously as she rubbed the side of her face with one paw.
“What is the meaning of this?” Commander Moon asked.
Spottedfur lowered her ears. “Ah, Commander Purple is dead set that you’re responsible for what happened to Commander Hawk,” she meowed with a bit of edge.
“Why would I?” Commander Moon asked with confusion.
Lostleap joined her side. “That doesn’t make a lot of sense.”
“I agree, he’s such a know-it-all egghead,” Spottedfur spat her fur ruffling up. Lying flat again, she gave a long sigh as she flicked her tail for her Campmates to pile as one group. “I’ll make sure this doesn’t happen again.”
“Thank you,” Commander Moon purred. She watched the group of Misty Family cats leave. Why would that idiot think that?
“Well, he twisted the story up,” Enki’s sudden voice startled Commander Moon and she was grateful the others were slowly returning to their duties. “My spell messed up and it hurt him as well.”
As well? Commander Moon asked. Interesting, it sounded as though her friend was attacking someone and Commander Hawk must’ve gotten caught up in the whole act.
“If it weren’t for me, his Doctor wouldn’t have known,” Enki explained.
Who were you attacking? Commander Moon asked hopping off the Tree Stump.
“Sorry, personal information,” Enki sighed. “It’s best you don’t know this guy.”
She wanted to know more about this guy, but she also didn’t want to be petty either. Well, good luck finding him, she purred. Enki didn’t reply and she assumed that he returned to finding whoever this man is that’s troubling him.

It was starting to get dark, and Commander Moon watched as Riverbird and Trainee Feather prepared to head off to their Doctor’s Meeting. She always wondered what they talked about there, but Riverbird was too stubborn to share the details with her.
Ugh, I wish I knew who that guy was, Commander Moon thought feeling bored. It seemed like every day had been eventful, but the moment there’s peace and quiet, she’s bored as heck. Her ears perked when the necklace she was wearing started vibrating. Iceflame?
“What’s up?” Commander Moon whispered as she headed back to her den for privacy.
“Hey, has there been any suspicious cats?” Iceflame asked.
Finally, someone she could snitch Commander Purple on. She had some uncalled negative feelings about him when she met him that Monthly Meeting. Hopefully Iceflame can give her some insight about that guy.
“There’s a new guy named Commander Purple who I guess is substitute for Hawk,” explained Commander Moon. She knew Iceflame was familiar with Commander Hawk since he had asked them two if they had seen Windglide. And sadly, she has not seen Windglide at all. “He looks familiar.”
There was pause but she thought she heard him growl something. “I see, be cautious, I believe he might be there for malicious reasons,” he growled. “Did he look anything like Porphyry?”
Her blood ran cold at the hearing of Porphyry. It’s been a while, but she remembered some of the crap he pulled by wrapping Jeremiah to be the big bad. “Yeah, he sort of disappeared,” she meowed.
“He’s definitely unstable,” Iceflame said in a nervous tone. He then cleared his throat. “I’ll check things out since…my friend isn’t doing good.”
Commander Moon hopped on top of her den in excitement, ignoring the odd stare Peachclaw and Crowpelt were giving from their posts. “Is he okay?” She asked. He must’ve found him.
“Afraid not, that Dark Magic affected his mind, I’m sure,” Iceflame murmured. Commander Moon lowered her ears when she remembered that he also believed Enki to be behind it. It can’t be, can it? “I ask one thing, careful of who you trust.”
“S-sure will,” Commander Moon stammered. Once the call was over, she sighed. It isn’t bad to trust in Enki, was it? Getting tired, she decided to head to bed and hoped to see Iceflame tomorrow.

Even though Snow was just a newborn, she couldn’t tell if she was hearing voices or not. “Trust your visions,” murmured a voice that might be male though she couldn’t tell since she hadn’t opened her eyes.
Though she hadn’t formed words and the two hadn’t had any conversations because of that, she sensed her sister Purple was hearing the voices too. “Stars in the paws,” whispered a sweet voice in Purple’s ear.
Commander Moon wondered what went through Iceheart’s two daughters’ mind. Whenever she visited, she always noticed them squirming in their nest and would keep their paws connected. Aww, they already have a strong sisterly bond.
As she went to rest in the Commander’s Den, she didn’t notice Josh following her. When she went to settle down, she stopped when she spotted Josh staring at her. Not saying anything, she curled up and allowed the puppy to join her.
