RoaR#16
Roar was walking down the dark alleyways while using the young man in his grasp as a guide to find the base of the black cloaks.
“Once we get there, you will regret what you did.” The young man was angry that he was beaten and taken hostage. But Roar didn’t answer him and just tightened his grip on his neck a little, that made the young man struggle to breathe a bit and flail. He then loosened it back. the young man’s expression was full of hatred now.
Roar kept on going in the darkness of the night and finally reached his destination. It was a big building built like a castle. It had big gate and a courtyard. It even had guards waiting in front of it. One of them had a spear and the other was obviously a magician.
“Wow, that’s a big house.” Said Roar while staring at the big castle base that he had just found.
Suddenly the young man shouted.” He wants to attack…blerghhh” but he couldn’t finish what he wanted to say because Roar tightened his grip and choked him. But he wasn’t quick enough. The guards already heard something and one of them was coming to see what was going on.
Roar quickly hid the young man behind him.
He saw a big barbarian with one arm behind him while whistling. He looked him up and down while pointing a spear at him and then yelled. “What are you hiding?!”.
“You don’t want to see.”
The guard was infuriated and shouted again.” Show it to me at once. Or I will attack!”.
Suddenly grunting noises could be heard from behind Roar. the guard’s eyes widened and he wanted to step back and attack but he was too late. “Ok.” Said Roar with a smile as he swinged the young man in his hand towards the guard with the spear. The guard wanted to guard against it but his spear was broken and he was hit by that young man and went unconscious immediately as he was thrown into a wall.
The young man was shouting in pain as he was just used as a club. “You crazy bastard. Are you trying to kill me?”.
The guard that remained at the gate had saw everything and he started yelling for reinforcements and readying a spell to attack the barbarian that had attacked them.
Roar stood there looking at the magician with awe as he was readying his spell. “Wow, this guy is making something cool.”. he then looked at the young man in his hand. “Look, this is some cool stuff.” Said Roar as he held the young man in front of him to see the lights.
“What?” the young man was confused for a second. But then he saw a big fire ball heading his way and he screamed.
Suddenly something exploded on the young man and he let out a shout of pain.
“It’s an attack, idiot. Don’t get hit!” shouted the stone.
Roar looked at the burning young man in his hand and then looked at the magician readying another spell and heard what the stone had shouted and finally made the connection.
As the magician was readying another fire spell to attack Roar with, he suddenly got the shivers and looked up and saw someone being thrown towards him like an arrow. He panicked and was too late to react to it and got hit and ended up planted in the wall behind.
Roar then walked towards them and looked at the young man on the ground. He was still conscious and kicking. “Please, take someone else.” Said the young man, pleading.
Roar smiled at him but that smile looked like a demon’s smile to the young man. he then proceeded to grab the young man by the neck. “We started this together. We’re going to finish it together as well.”.
The young man was burned and bruised by now and was cursing his luck.
“Unhand him at once! You filthy barbarian!” A shout could be heard coming from inside the castle.
Roar looked and saw a bald man with black armor looking at him with furious eyes. “What is it to you? we’re just some friends playing.” Said Roar.
“Uncle! Please save me!” the young man saw the bald man and recognized him immediately.
“I said unhand him. You brute.” Said the bald man with vigor.
Roar looked at the young man in his hand with disappointment. “Is this really how you want our friendship to end?” said Roar.
The young man was very confused and thought that Roar had gone crazy.
“So be it.” Roar said with sadness as he readied himself to throw the young man with greater power than the last time. “No No No let’s be friends, please.” Said the young man as he saw he is about to be thrown.
“Too late.” Said Roar as he threw the young man at his uncle with such power that the uncle did not have the courage to even attempt to catch him and he dodged out of the way. The young man went through the castle wall and alerted all of the guards inside and went out the other end.
The bald man was very surprised at the power displayed and shouted.” You will pay for this! Black cloaks to me!”. Suddenly more than one hundred black cloaks assembled behind the bald man and were ready to fight. They were alerted because of the loud commotion that occurred earlier and even more were coming out.
Roar saw their numbers and yawned. “Man, I haven’t slept in so long.” said Roar with a sleepy voice. The fact that he wasn’t feeling threatened by the situation made the bald man even more angry.
“I feel like I’m forgetting something.” Roar was thinking but he very quickly gave up and got ready to fight.
“HAHAHA, don’t start the fun without us!” A shout could be heard coming from behind Roar. he looked behind him and saw Lion and the group from the inn and he smiled.
Lion had a big smile on his face as he was walking in front of the group. He stood beside Roar and looked at the black cloaks with a big smile on his face.
The black cloaks were whispering amongst themselves as they recognized Lion and they were a bit scared. The bald man tried calming them down but to no avail.
Roar and Lion looked each other in the eye and nodded. Then they both looked towards the enemy.
