Elsewhere in the nearby jungles, a Neorex limbs through the trees leaking blood which glows a bright blue. The Neorex is covered in injuries having sustained them in a battle with another Mekanimal. The Neorex sees the wildlife reserve and all the animals in it. It sees this an opportunity for easy prey, hopefully enough to buy the rex some time. It weakly charges towards and unsuspecting Ironcattle, breaking through the fence and spooking the other animals. despite its effort, the Neorex is too weak to chase its prey and collapses to the ground as the rain begins to pour. Just when it though the time had come, Zafira sees the Neorex and calls for Issac and Maria. The Neorex knows something is off with Zafira. She is not quite human but also not quite a machina. Before the Neorex can proccess, Zafira tries to stop the bleeding long enough for her uncle to arrive. "Why is this hybrid helping me? Does she not know I and a danger to beings like her? Why doesn't she just leave me?" are the thoughts that run though his mind, the mind of a Neorex. Just as Issac arrives with Maria to bring the Neorex inside the medical wing, the Neorex begins to blackout from blood loss. "Hold on Neo." is the last thing he hears before passing out.

In the medical wing, Zafira tries to stop the bleeding while Issac stitches the wounds up. "What could have done this?" Asks Zafira. Issac responds "Well it not too uncommon for Mekanimals to get into fights. As such injuries like these are expected." before closing the last wound on the Neorex. "Still the injuries here don't seem like a normal Mekanimal attack. These wounds seem to be premeditated." Zafira says before bandaging most of the wounds. Realizing they are out of medical supplies, Zafira leaves the reserve to restock on supplies. In town, she notices some wanted posters for a group called the Ironclaw raiders. Zafira focuses on getting medical supplies, putting the thought of the raiders in the back burner for now. Zafira enters the pharmacy and gets the supplies need such as bandages, antibiotics, and numbing gel. After signing the confirmation paper, she hears screaming coming from outside the pharmacy. She goes to see raiders causing some trouble. Neoraptors destroy various bit of property in the town. The raiders shout "This is your only warning! Tell us what you know about the legendary mekanimal or we will reduce this worthless town to rumble!" before continuing their rampage. A mother screams as debris falls towards her son. Just then, Zafira grabs the kid out the way of the debris. The kid returns to his mother terrified. "Hey assholes! You think this some game to you!" Shouted Zafira which grabs the raiders attention. "Well well, what do we have here? A foolish wannabe hero thats what." Says one of the raiders. Zafira prepares herself to fight the raiders, knowing the odds are against her.

Meanwhile, despite not being fully healed the Neorex gets up. Despite Issac and Marias efforts, the Neorex breaks out of the medical wing having heard the screaming from the town. Just as raiders prepare for an attack, the Neorex bites down on one of the Neoraptors before tossing it aside through a nearby window. The other raiders use their Neoraptors to attack the Neorex. The Neorex tosses the raptors like ragdolls, swiping some away with his tail and clamping down with his jaws on others. The leader, seeing the Neorex effortlessly take down a squad of raptor, orders a full retreat. The raiders flee in terror of the Neorex while he release a triumphant roar. Zafira approaches the large bipedal theropod, surprised by how quickly he had recovered. "Glad to see your doing well Neo. Its only been a few hours but you've recovered quite well." Said Zafira. The Neorex had no clue why Zafira keeps calling him "Neo" but decides to accept it as his name. Zafira questions the mayor what the legendary mekanimal is. The mayor has no clue why the raiders want it but knows the Ironclaw raiders are an infamous group of crooks who believe humans are the rightful rulers of Cobalus. Both Neo and Zafira knew just by what the mayor said that the Ironclaw raiders are bad news. Zafira and Neo decide to try and stop the Ironclaw raiders.

Zafira packs some supplies for the long trip. Neo waits outside for Zafira. Maria and Issac show concern for Zafira and Neos journey to stop the Ironclaw raiders. "Don't worry. I'll be back home once this all done. Besides, I have Neo to watch over me." Say Zafira optimistically. "Just come back home in one piece Zafira." Says aunt Maria. "Neo, you better protect our niece no matter what." Says uncle Issac. Neo nods in reassurence. Zafira hops onto neos back before bidding Issac and Maria farewell. Neo and Zafira procceed on their journey to stop the Ironclaw raiders and find the legendary mekanimal.
