RoaR#15
Roar stood there in the dark scratching his head. He took a look around and did not move.
“What is it?” asked the stone.
“I don’t know where their base is? I didn’t get the chance to ask Lion.” Roar was confused and didn’t know what to do now.
“Don’t ask the old man that is right behind us. Go find someone in a dark alley to ask, Ok?”
“Ok!” Roar liked what the stone had suggested and went off into the night to do just that. As he was going, he could swear that he had heard a facepalm but looked around and found no one. so, he continued.
The problem was that not many people could be found going outside at night in this town.
After half an hour of looking around, Roar finally saw someone outside.
She was moving with urgency and practically running. She was a very beautiful woman with red hair and blue eyes. She periodically looked behind her to see if someone was following her. As she was going, she heard something behind her, stopped and looked around but did not see anyone. She ran again and heard someone behind her, she could swear that she was hearing footsteps, heavy ones at that, following behind her. She felt that this is the end and ran harder than ever and closed her eyes. Suddenly she ran into something hard and fell on her back.
“Watch where you’re going! Little lady.” shouted a mysterious voice.
The woman on the ground was dazed for a second but then she looked and saw an aggressive looking young man and started shivering. “What do you want?!”
“You!” The young man was wearing dark red clothing and looked very menacing. He reached out to grab the woman on the ground. but he couldn’t for he heard something.
“Oi, I saw her first. She’s mine!” From the dark the towering figure of an angry barbarian emerged. He pointed towards the woman on the ground and shouted at the menacing young man.” I’ve been looking for her for so long! I won’t let you take what’s mine!”.
“Very interesting. Let’s see who gets to take her.” Said the young man as he gritted his teeth and got ready to fight.
The woman was sitting on the ground and cursing her bad luck. “Great! Now I have 2 kidnappers fighting to get me. Just my luck.”
The young man saw Roar looking at him with a serious expression and giving him a glare. That look shook the young man and he became scared. But then he shouted. “Your tricks won’t work on me.” thinking that Roar had just used a skill. Oblivious to the fact that these were his own instincts telling him to run away from incredible danger.
“Tricks? What tricks?” Roar was confused. He just looked at the man normally from his perspective and was just there to ask a few questions. But saw the young man shivering and shouting.
What the young man heard was.” I don’t need tricks to crush puny insects like you!”. he became angrier and shouted in response.” I will get you for that!”.
“For what?” Roar looked around and saw no one to clarify the situation for him. So, he gave up. “Come here.” Said Roar intending to ask him to clarify. But the young man saw it as Roar challenging him.
The young man moved towards Roar with the intention to attack him. “You will Regret ever challenging me. You stupid barbarian. Taste my blazing meteor punch.” Shouted the young man as he punched Roar in the stomach with a flashy move while he was laughing. Once the smoke cleared the towering figure of a barbarian could be seen, unmoving.
“What are you doing?” Roar did not even register the young man as a threat. He did not even feel the punch as he was standing there, confused as to what the young man was doing.
The woman on the ground’s eyes went wide with surprise.
“What? Did I do it wrong?” said the young man as he looked at his fist confused as well.
The woman saw everything. The young man’s fist carried an immense amount of strength but what it hit seemed unbreakable as the barbarian didn’t even move an inch after being hit in the stomach.
She saw the barbarian take out a stone from his pouch and looking at it and shouting.” This was meant to be an attack?” he then laughed and put the stone back in his pouch. He then proceeded to kick the confused young man with a casual kick but that kick sent him flying towards a nearby wall and he was planted in it not able to move.
After kicking the man away, Roar started walking towards the woman. She saw him walking towards her and flinched.
“Are you okay?” asked Roar. she was more confused and surprised at his strength than scared. She nodded with her mouth open. He then smiled. “Great.” She was mesmerized by his smile as she did not expect him to react in this manner.
He then went towards the man that he had kicked. He pulled him out from the wall that he was planted in and held him in his hand by the neck.” What did you want from her?” asked Roar from the young man.
The young man smiled.” She was meant to be my initiation sacrifice. You won’t get away with this. My uncle is one of the leaders of the black cloaks. They will find and kill you!”.
“Great!” said Roar as he was happy. “So, you do know where their base is, right?” asked Roar. the young man nodded, confused.
He then went towards the woman, crouched down and looked her in the eyes and smiled.” Don’t worry I’m taking him with me.”. she nodded again.
As he was leaving with the young man still in his hand, he asked him.” Why do you need to go to their base? You know they will kill you right?”.
“For her.” said Roar with a heavy voice.
The young man looked back at the woman sitting on the ground with shock on his face.” Damn, who did I target? Who is this woman?”
The woman was staring at Roar’s back and heard what he had said. She then remembered what he had said previously about how she was his and how he had looked for her for so long and how he treated her. She reached a conclusion and blushed and held her face as she stared at his back again.
