Stars... There are billions of them scattered across the night sky, sparkling like a sea of diamonds. No one truly knows how they came to be. All they knew, was that they had existed for millions of years. Spinning around the world, in a never ending cycle. They were a mystery, yet also a miracle. 

Within the stars, constellations formed shapes of creatures and many other beings. A large number of these constellations had formed animals. These animal constellations were the most intriguing ones of all. Some were more well-known than others, but they were all truly special. For many years, people have told stories about them. The stories said that they were once ordinary animals. Until they were made into marvellous constellations, by the Moon Spirit. 

You see...

Back when the world was just empty darkness. Where monsters and fear ruled from the shadows. Both people and animals were frightened by the unknown horrors and terrors that lurked within it. It was a living nightmare.

Then one special night, the Moon Spirit gathered many animals together and offered to make them become one with the sky. This way, they could help castaway the darkness of night and bring new light. By lighting up the sky, they would also bring hope and inspiration to the people of earth.  

So with that, the animals honourably accepted the Moon spirit's power and became the very stars within the heavens above. After that, nights became more peaceful and tranquil for everyone. For centuries, the constellations shone like bright burning candles, melting away the night's gloominess.

But slowly, the monsters started to rise back up again. They started to grow stronger and more powerful, threatening to bring darkness and fear once again. 

Something else had to be done, so that was when a brand-new miracle came around. Twelve of the animal constellations decided to entrust special powers onto chosen people, to help fight the darkness and protect all living beings in the land below.

These chosen ones, were known as the Celestial Guardians. They all had the power to turn into the animal of their specific constellation, as well possess special powers of their own.

These mysterious heroes would appear at night, to face the evil that lurked within the shadows. They became the new light amongst the darkness. With the power of the stars, they swore to protect everything and everyone with it!

Nobody ever knew who the Celestial Guardians were. Just like the stars, they were a mystery as well as a miracle. The guardians always kept their identities a secret. Every generation, the powers were passed onto new specially chosen guardians, in order to continue fighting the darkness and keep the peace. 

The battles got tougher, but the guardians always triumphed. For years, they managed to maintain the peace and harmony. They were the sworn protectors that kept the nights safe and put the citizens minds at ease.

One time, the evil grew so huge that the world was almost cast into eternal darkness. But as always, the guardians managed to foil that darkness, restoring peace once again. The Celestial Guardians legacy was also passed down through many generations, from people who had manage to witness their heroic actions. Though it has become just a myth to a lot of people now. 

However.....

Little did anyone know that for the next generation, the great evil would soon find a way back and be even stronger and more threatening than ever before. Not only that, but a brand-new guardian would rise up to help and fight along side them!

And that is where our story begins...
