RAINBOW

Waking up in the morning I was feeling great, I had so much energy, I felt happy and I knew why. Today I had a photo shoot at the Collingwood Manor, I would get to see Juli and talk to him. After eating breakfast and taking a shower, I looked at myself in the mirror, checking out my black hair. What color will I wear today? Should I go with something that fits my mood this morning? Something bright and happy.

‘What about yellow?’ Vivi suggested. That’s why I loved my animal self, he was always helping me around with things like this.

‘Yellow? Yeah, yellow is great.’ I smiled taking the yellow wax and pouring some into a pink container I had on my vanity, it was a really bright color and I loved it, but something was missing.

‘Maybe mix it with a bit of orange too and some red.’ I nodded taking the orange wax that I had used recently and the red one. With the help of a spatula, I took a tiny amount of both colors and then mixed it with the yellow obtaining a beautiful tone; it reminded me of honey.

‘Great idea boo, now it’s perfect. Thanks.’ I thanked Vivi and then began to spread the mixture on the ends of my hair, when I finished and let it dry, I looked at myself in the mirror once again, I was overjoyed with how the result came out. I finished dressing up in some comfy blue jeans and a striped t-shirt that was a similar shade to the ends of my hair, a little makeup, bag ready on my shoulder, and then I was ready to work.

As I walked out of my apartment I heard the neighbor’s door open, maybe it was a great chance to welcome them to the building and thank them for the sweet rice cakes. My smile faded as the sweet smell of chocolate cake hit my nostrils. ‘Fuck…’ 

‘Mate.’ Vivi excitedly said.

Destiny does work in mysterious ways, not only he was my fated mate but also my new neighbor. Our eyes met, making eye contact, I could tell he was also shocked by the fact we lived next to each other. 

“Oh, we meet again.” His deep voice took me away from my thoughts, making me blush and his smile melted me. How can someone have such a beautiful and charming smile? “Let me introduce myself properly this time. My name is Kang Dae Kim and I’m your new neighbor, I left a gift at your door a few days ago.”

“Ah yes, the sweet rice cakes. They were delicious, thank you for that.” I softly smiled back at him, fixing the bag strap that rested on my shoulder. 

“I’m glad you liked them. May I know your name?” He asked and I could sense the curiosity in his eyes.

“Oh! Yes, my name is Victor Lowell but you can call me Rainbow.” I shyly answered his question, smiling softly. 

“That’s a beautiful name for someone as gorgeous and bright as you.” Startled at his words, a soft meow escaped my lips.

“I-I’m sorry, I have to go to work now. It was nice to meet you, officer.” I turned on my heels and quickly walked to the elevator, embarrassed and freaking out at what I had done. 

‘Why did you run away again? I want to know more about him.’ Vivi scolded me. ‘He looks so sexy in that uniform, I want him to cuff us to a bed.’

‘Will you stop being so horny?!’ I scolded him and walked into the elevator, still embarrassed and hoping that Kang Dae wouldn’t think I was a weirdo for meowing at him. Someone put his hand in between the elevator doors as they were about to close, stopping them from fully closing.

‘Oh no…’

‘Oh yes! Alpha is here~’

KANG DAE

I’ve never thought I was scary looking. I’ve always been friendly and do my best to give a good impression to everyone, but with him it was different. He seemed to be nervous around me and I couldn’t understand why. Rainbow’s face was pale as I got into the elevator and stood next to him. 

“Sorry, I have to go to work as well and there’s only one elevator,” I said looking at him, and he nodded without saying anything else. 

Just the two of us, standing in the elevator as we waited for it to get to the first floor. That sweet smell hit my nostrils again and I looked down at him again, my eyes fixed on the collar that covered his neck. I wonder why he smelled so sweet, I’ve never smelt anything like this before and I wondered if it tasted just as he smelled. I shook my head and fixed my eyes somewhere else, his face. I have to admit, I have encountered many omegas in my life but I’ve never seen someone as beautiful as him. His beauty was almost mesmerizing and I felt warm, the same warmth I felt on my chest the other day I ran into him. I’ve never felt this way before, the need to know more about him, to have him for me, to mark him and make him mine. 

“So, what do you work on?” I decided to break the ice, I was curious about all of him and I needed to know more. 

“I’m a photographer.” He shyly said playing with the strap on his shoulder

“Oh really? I would love to see your work.” I said, I’ve never been interested in such things but if I had a chance to get closer to him I would take it.

“You would?” He looked up at me, those beautiful green eyes filled with excitement. His heartbeat got steady; he was no longer nervous. “I could show you sometime, but most of my work is at my studio.”

“Then you could invite me to your studio, I’ve never been to one.” I smiled flirtatiously, getting closer to him.

“Are you sure? It’s not that fun to be at the studio.” He said, still looking into my eyes, but a little reluctant about the idea. “It’s more like an office where I keep all my stuff.”

“Yes, I’m sure. I would love to see your studio and see where you work.” He smiled at my answer and nodded.

“Okay then, it’s a date.” He excitedly said, a soft blush then showing up on his cheeks as he realized what he had said, but was that considered a date? Maybe we could go eat somewhere later and spend some more time together. ‘Yes, I like that idea.’

“It’s a date then.” I reaffirmed his words, smiling at him and he smiled back.

I hadn’t noticed how close we were to each other, I had leaned into his face, really close to it. As I looked into his eyes I noticed his attention was somewhere else, my lips. I looked at his and leaned in closer, feeling his breath against mine, and then…

Ding!

The elevator sound startled us both, indicating we had arrived at our destination. Rainbow moved away from me, embarrassed, his cheeks tinted with a bright red hue and as soon as the doors opened he quickly ran out of the elevator.

“B-bye Kang Dae! Good luck at work.” I felt something warm in my chest and I felt happy when I heard him say my name. 

I still don’t understand what’s happening but I can’t wait to see him again…
