The ball in her hands was firm, yet soft and she looked at the beta who had thrown it towards Enora. Liana was certain it would have hit the other female. She threw the ball back at the male who caught it without saying a word. "I believe some of us are distracted with having the Alpha King around," she said and tugged her shirt back down.
Her wolf huffed. She didn’t get distracted so fast.
All the females were in sports outfits, most having clothes on that accentuated their assets by showing cleavage or their flat belly. It was like they had known Jesse would show up or at least that they had hoped he would. Maybe Liana should have put on something similar, but she'd figured this would be a real training and had gone with a tank top and sweatpants. "Welcome, Sir," she said to their teacher, who was staring at Enora and her. "I'm Liana."
"His name's Ethan," Enora said quietly from behind her.
Liana shot her a glance and turned back to him instead. "Are you okay, Sir?" She stepped closer to him. She hadn't thrown the ball that hard, but he seemed to have zoned out somewhat.
Just like that he snapped back to attention and called everyone over. All the females gathered around where Liana stood, chatting amongst each other and throwing glances towards Jesse on the balcony. Excited giggles and blushes waved up and Liana wanted to hide somewhere. She managed to stand by the sideline, listening intently at Ethan's explanation on what they were going to do.
Today she wouldn't fail, she had a feeling she might be already better than some at the physical exercises and she wanted to show that she could manage.
Enora stood closely next to her, but she seemed fine under Ethan's gaze and information. They would be taught how to throw an attacker on the ground today and do general workouts to improve stamina and health.
"Sir?" Anaïs asked, raising her hand.
"Yes?" Ethan turned towards her.
"I understand that we need to be aware of our surroundings at all times." Anaïs delecate eyebrows furrowed together. "But...I don't see why we should be able to fight someone off. We would have betas for that, right? I thought we would always be accompanied by one of you. Or am I wrong?"
Liana blinked at the girl.
"You'll always have a beta," Stacey said before Ethan could say anything. "But you should be able to defend yourself too. You can't always rely on a beta. They’re also people and they can get hurt too. If they get hurt, then you should still be able to help yourself. Isn't that right, Sir?" She smiled towards Ethan and then glanced up towards Jesse too.
