When Carl comes home after being fired from a job for the nth time, he finds a little girl waiting there who is supposedly his daughter. He isn’t confident he can raise her, but he just can’t turn her away. So with the help of people around him, he takes baby steps to be able to raise her. In the process, he rekindles his love for illustrating, learns to see his estranged wife in a different light, and realizes how it just takes small adjustments and people around him to make life good.
