Lily's POV:
[10:03]
As I opened my eyes in the morning, I found a blackhead with no face near mine, so I freaked out badly, "AAAHHHHH!". I then jolted back, causing me to fall to the floor. "Ouch!"
"Why the fuck are you yelling?" Diana grumbled in her husky morning voice as she rolled over and glared at me.
I huffed and answered, "Gosh! I thought you were a ghost!..." then sighed in relief...
She sat on the bed, rubbing her eyes, "What the he..." and she paused, trying not to curse anymore...
What I figured out about Diana is that she has a second personality in the mornings, and I'm trying to get used to it... But I'm not yet, so I said, "I'm sorry" in a low scared voice.
"Lily, don't you think you should apologize for another thing, rather than this one?" She asked with a raised eyebrow...
"What?!" I asked in confusion while staring at her...
"Don't tell me you wanna pretend you don't remember!" She said with a smirk on her face.
I said panicking, "NO! I don't really re... Ehhh...". Then a sudden flashback rushed into my mind of what I'd done last night, and I covered my wide-opened mouth with my hands in shock, looking at her, shaking my head in disbelief. I felt my stomach twist into knots and my face burn hot with embarrassment.
"Now, you remember, huh?" she placed both palms on the mattress and leaned toward me, then asked devilishly, "What should I do to you, Lily?"
I sprang up immediately and said, "I really apologize for last night's behavior!!!".
She got off the bed and stood in front of me, "Are you aware that not only should I have taken care of your drunk habits last night, but you literally were about to expose me in front of them?"
I dropped my head and apologized again, then she added teasingly, "Ahhh! You even cursed at me all the way here!"
I wrapped my arms around her waist and said with a loud voice," PLEASE, FORGIVE ME! I'M SO SORRY!"
Diana stayed silent for a moment which sent chills down my spine...
Then she laughed and ruffled my hair. "Teasing you is so much fun... hehe~..."
I backed away and looked at her, puzzled. "So, you're not mad at me?"
"I was actually, but seeing you panicked like a child somehow relieved my anger..." Then she smiled and pinched my cheeks slightly.
I held her hands on my face, closed my eyes, and sighed as I was overwhelmed by my fears. "You really scared me~" I whined as I unconsciously pecked her right palm.
Diana pulled her hands out right away, which made me startled and I opened my eyes, seeing her taken aback expression.
"That was~ Compensate!!!!... Because~ I bothered you a lot!!!!..." I blurted out awkwardly...
"I think you haven't sobered yet. Go and take a shower. I'll make breakfast for us to eat..." Diana responded to my bullshit.
I nodded sheepishly and then noticed that I was wearing her clothes!...
"My clothes!~...." I mumbled.
"Ah! I helped you change." After Diana said that, she turned around to walk out of the room...
I said, "You changed~..."
She paused and said, "Don't worry, I won't tell anyone about your Teddy bear's secret..."
I grabbed a pillow and threw it at her back as I was so embarrassed that I wanted to jump out off the terrace right then!...
She laughed again and turned back, looking at me with a mischievous smile. "It was cute though!...".
I ran to the bathroom, completely blushed, "Stop mocking meeeee!~~~..."
-"Hahahaha... "

Diana's POV:
[10:40]
While we were having breakfast, Lily's phone began to ring in the room...
She got up to answer her phone, and after a few minutes returned to the table with a gloomy face.
"Is everything okay?" I asked, wondering.
She was staring at her phone, then said, "It was my mom scolding me~..."
+"Oh~... I didn't have her number, and since your phone was locked, I couldn't open it to let her know. Was she really mad?"
-"It's fine~..." Then she put her phone on the table.
As I grabbed a bite, Lily still was playing with her scrambled egg and little sausages.
-"I~..."
+"What's wrong?!"
-"I just saw my messages and~... got rejected again~..."
+"your interview?"
She nodded pitifully. I put my fork on the table and sighed, then asked, "Are you serious about work?"
-"Yes. That's what I wanna do right now."
+"Hmmm~... Do you like working in a bookstore?"
Lily raised her head up and stared at me, confused. "Bookstore?"
+"Yep. One of my cousins has a bookstore, and I can ask him to hire you."
A slight flinching in her seat led her to ask enthusiastically, "Really?!... Will he accept me?!"
I smirked and said, "Well, he had to, since I helped him a lot..."
She jumped off excitedly and hugged me as she still bounced up and down. "Thank you!~... Of course, I will do it!~... You're such an awesome person!!!"
I grabbed her arms and pushed her away gently, then got up from my seat. "But you have to promise me one thing..." I stared at her seriously while her eyes were sparkling happily.
"What kind of promise?... I will!..." she replied right away.
+"I'm not forcing you to enroll in college or something since you don't know what you want to do, but I believe you should at least finish high school... And the reason I'm offering you a job there is because you can study while working there. Two birds with one stone until you find your own goal and dream."
She grasped my T-shirt, "I promise! "
+"Okay. We have a deal now." I smiled and stroked her hair.
Lily smiled from ear to ear, and that was when Faith entered my apartment, interrupting us, "Yoooo~~~ Deee~ I'm here for another hellish day!~~~..."
She froze for a sec, "What are you two doing?"
I pulled myself back and said, "Just talk..."
Faith walked toward us with suspected eyes and then hugged Lily out of the blue, "Heyyy~... long time no see~... Didn't Dee bully you again, hm?..."
Lily laughed awkwardly, "Hehe~ How are you?... Of course not~... "
"Really?!... You can tell me the truth, then I'll scold her." she teased.
I glared at Faith while she made a silly face for me, "Okay, enough! We have work and Lily has to return home!" And I separated them by slipping my arm between them, pushing Faith away, then grabbed Lily's shoulders and said, "I'll call a taxi for you."
Lily smiled again and said, "Okay~.."
As Lily left, Faith said, annoyed, "I feel like you're hiding something from me!"
+"There's nothing to hide. Since she got drunk last night at Ashley's house, I took her home with me." I answered calmly.
-"Ah... I hate Ashley... she gives me negative vibes! Isn't she married now?! Tell her to just fuck off..."
+"Faith! Don't insult her!" I yelled.
Faith stepped close to me and slapped me in the arm. "Don't yell at me! You already know that she's not really nice! She's a hypocrite which is why she's always taking advantage of you with an innocent act!"
" Enough! You know nothing!... "
I grumbled and then walked to the room, " Let's just do our work, Faith."
-" Jerk. Fine!"
I knew her words were right in some aspects, but my stubbornness didn't let me admit it...
Ashley has always been the kind of girl to keep so many people around her, which made me feel lonely since I wasn't as special to her as the way she was to me.
She likes to have many friends, parties, get attention, etc.
Her priority had been her boyfriends for the past couple of years, and now it is Sam.
There were times that I noticed she was dating a jerk or a cheater, so as her friend I informed her out of worry that it's better to break up with them however she fought back with me that they were good and I was the one who was wrong.
She'd cut me off every time we had an argument and get back to me while crying after she had broken up with them, saying I was right...
And I forgave her every time because I liked her...
I really need to get her out of my head...
The question is that "How should I do it?"

Lily's POV:
[One week later, 8:00 AM]
Right now, I'm standing in front of the "Forever Green" bookstore and cafe.
The "Forever Green" was a large, two-story building with floor-to-ceiling windows that let in lots of natural light. The first floor was filled with bookshelves that spanned the length of the room, with cozy reading nooks tucked away in the corners for visitors to relax and read.
The second floor was home to a warm, inviting cafe with tables and chairs scattered throughout, as well as a coffee bar with a variety of delicious drinks and snacks. Visitors could enjoy a book or a drink while soaking up the peaceful atmosphere.
Diana just told me it's a bookstore and no big deal, so I thought it'd be a small store and not that spacious which is why I was relieved and relaxed, however, I'm freaking out as I'm stepping into the building.
I asked one of the staff where the owner's office was located, and she led me there. As I entered the room, I saw a young man in his early 30s, pretty similar to Diana, with short black hair, black eyes, white skin, and a V-line jaw, wearing a white shirt with beige trousers.
"You must be Lily, my cousin's friend, right?!" He asked.
I smiled and said, "Yes! Nice to meet you! I'm Lily Miller."
-"Haha... Likewise. Since Diana ordered me to hire you, we don't need a serious interview. However, I'd like to ask some questions. "
+"Ah! Sure! "
As he was interviewing me, my heart was beating so fast since I was nervous that if I made a mistake here, I'd embarrass Diana.
Fortunately, everything went smoothly and he introduced me to others afterward and told one of his staff to teach me the work.
The one who was supposed to teach me was a boy named John MacGregor, and one year older than me.
He was tall and had a fit body with short red hair and blue eyes, some freckles on his nose and cheeks, wearing a black T-shirt with blue jeans.
"Hi, I'm John. I'll help you from now on! Let's be friends!" He said while reaching his hand towards me.
I replied as I shook his hand, "I'm Lily! Sure! Thank you!"...
And that was how I found a job thanks to Diana~...
~
[19:12]
After my working hours were done, I happily bought some coffee and some desserts, then headed to Diana's apartment.
As I rang the bell excitedly, the door got opened by a stranger. He was a tall masculine boy with curly dark brown hair, green eyes, and glasses. His upper body was naked, and he was wearing a pair of denim pants.
I was so surprised that I wasn't able to talk or move, just staring at him blankly, then he asked, "How can I help you?"
I muttered anxiously with a trembling voice, " I~... I~... em..."
He looked at me with a puzzled face, and then I heard Diana's voice coming, "Who was that?"
As our eyes locked on each other, both of us froze... Intense silent gazes for a brief moment...
I looked at her, wearing a black silk gown with her wet hair as if she had just gotten out of the shower...
So I bewilderedly shoved the desserts and coffee into that boy's arms and said loudly, "I'm so sorry, I just~ didn't know~ You had a guest~... These are just something to show my gratitude for helping me to get the job!~... You can have them together~... Bye~..."
Then I ran out of there as fast as I could while Diana was calling my name repeatedly...
Does Diana have a boyfriend?!...
But she never mentioned it!...
What should I do?!...
