Another month has gone by, and Commander Moon was a bit antsy about this Monthly Meeting. Tonight, she was going to be heading to Moon Plains after the Monthly Meeting so that she could find Epic Supreme. It scared her to think that Enki might do something to her if she doesn’t find his mentor. What if he wasn’t there?
“You good?” Commander Snow asked. He was casually waving a paw in Commander Moon’s face causing her to snap out of her thoughts as she stared at the Lake Family Commander.
“Me? Yeah, is it my turn?” Commander Moon asked. She glanced to see Flowerseed hopping back onto her own branch after giving out her announcements.
“Sure, if you got anything that is,” Commander Snow purred. She didn’t know this cat very well, so she quickly jumped onto the branch where the Commanders would give their announcements.
Taking a deep breath, Commander Moon gazed down at Bluestripe and Trainee Bluebell who were sitting beside Tigercloud and Jumbo Jr. “I’m pleased to announce Bluestripe as a Guardian and Trainee Bluebell has started training,” she meowed. Bluestripe slicked her fur back as Tigercloud congratulated her and Trainee Bluebell.
“Dovetail and Michaeltail have also given birth to four healthy kits,” Commander Moon concluded before hopping onto the tree branch next to Commander Snow. His eyes were closed to which she wasn’t sure if he dozed off or was thinking of something.
After her, Commander Hawk took her spot on the branch and appeared a bit nervous. Even after months of being Commander, he still was adjusting to the lifestyle of one. “Fellow Guardians, Spottedfur and Gingerfoot both successfully gave birth,” he meowed. He then cleared his throat as he pointed at a light brown molly and blue tom. “And Amyflower and Sonicslash have completed their training!”
Commander Moon spotted her Campmate Cinderflower rub her head against Sonicslash who started purring. It was cute seeing the gray molly find love in another Family.
Commander Lava then took her place and dugs his claws when it started wobbling a bit under his weight. “Howdy, Snowflake is now a Guardian,” he meowed. Snowflake started fanning herself with a paw as she waited for a tom to compliment her. “Other than that, has anyone seen a man with glowing eyes?”
DJ started waving his paws back and forth in a fast manner. Commander Lava beckoned the young tom to head in front of the crowd and speak to the Guardians. “That’s easy, he’s usually around on a full moon,” he mewed. He then pointed at the sky. “Which happens to be one tonight.”
This’ll be my chance then, Commander Moon thought. Thanks, DJ, you’re a big help.
“Thank you, I was curious,” Commander Lava purred. Commander Moon couldn’t help but wonder if the red-gray tom was ever threatened by Enki to find his mentor as well. If so, he wasn’t showing any signs.
Commander Volcano narrowed his eyes at Commander Lava as he passed the tom. His eyes had a glint in them as if there was something he wanted to say but wasn’t going to. “Lavacloud has had her kits, that is all,” he meowed bluntly as he quickly returned to his post beside Flowerseed.
After he jumped on his post, Commander Snow’s eyes snapped open, and he hopped onto the tree branch. He moved up and down without shaking from fear as he stared at the Guardians. “Careful, my Guardians have mentioned slimy Unique Creatures on the loose,” he meowed with a smile.
“Ugh, I’ve seen those ugly creatures,” Flowerseed spat. She then checked her claws as she continued with her thought. “Those brats don’t listen to my magnificence.” Commander Volcano rolled his eyes at the tall black and white molly.
“Hopefully I don’t see them,” Commander Pink sniffed. “I’ve had enough of trouble these days.” Looking at her, Commander Moon noticed bags under her eyes and wondered how long she has been ruling over Light Family.
“Does anyone else have anything to say?” Commander Snow asked looking back at the Commanders. When they shook their heads, he turned back to the Guardians staring at him. “Meeting dismissed.”
As the Commanders hopped down from the tree, Commander Moon took the time to search for Lostleap as she was going to have him take their Campmates back to camp. She spotted her Councilor speaking with his mate and approached him. “Can you take them back to camp?”
Lostleap looked baffled. “Sure, how come…?” Him and his mate stared as Commander Moon bolted immediately after hearing his answer. There was no time to lose for the purple molly.

Commander Moon found herself in Moon Plains in no time at all. She stopped to catch her breath as she scanned the area around her. There was no sign of Epic Supreme anywhere, but her blood turned cold when she heard another creature breathing behind her. Turning around, Commander Moon screeched when a large dog appeared behind her.
“Are you looking for someone too?” Commander Moon asked heart beating.
“You didn’t keep the promise, kitty cat,” he barked. He then started digging dirt up from the ground. “Don’t worry, I’ll spare you from being shred to pieces.”
I don’t get it, the night’s not over, Enki, thought Commander Moon. She braced herself to attack until she heard the dog gasp. Opening one eye, she noticed Cinderflower and Sonicslash had knocked the dog out. “Why are you here?”
“To see what you were doing,” Cinderflower sniffed.
“No need to worry, we can take care of Savageclaw,” purred Sonicslash. Commander Moon only nodded slowly as she padded away from the three.
Where are you? Commander Moon thought. She wasn’t sure she wanted Cinderflower and her mate to be here when she does find Epic Supreme as they might listen in on the conversation.
Something brushed through the tuft of fur on her head, and she shuddered. Looking around, she hadn’t seen anyone else besides Cinderflower and Sonicslash escorting Savageclaw away. “What an interesting little cat.”
“Huh?!” Commander Moon yelped. She started scrambling about when someone had picked her up. “Let me go!”
“Tell me, what is your name?” Commander Moon found herself staring into the eyes of a tall young man. He had a dark complexion and the bright glowing blue eyes told Commander Moon that this was the man DJ had described at the Monthly Meeting.
“My name is Commander Moon,” meowed the purple molly. She hadn’t expected to be picked up by some random man, only to find out it was the guy she was looking for. “I’ve been looking for you.”
“Why is that?” Epic Supreme asked as he let go of Commander Moon who started floating in the air. He was holding some strange book that had some sort of symbol in the middle of the cover. “Could it be that you’re a fan of me?”
I’ve literally never heard of you until I met Enki, thought Commander Moon. The purple molly then shrugged as she tried not to look down where she could bruise herself. “Enki’s looking for you.”
“Is he…?” Epic Supreme stated in surprised. He then turned to Commander Moon who rolled her eyes. What was up with this man’s behavior? It was so…random. “First to be my student as well as wanting to be the first to see me back.”
Commander Moon squinted her blue eyes as she held her white paws out to point at him. “Did you go on vacation?” She asked. She closed her eyes when she was flipped upside down. Now she’s glad Cinderflower never came back. However, she spotted a deer staring at her with suspicion.
“More like a mission,” Epic Supreme went on as he walked away with Commander Moon following since she couldn’t break herself free from this aura. “I couldn’t believe that a lot of time went by while I was gone.”
Annoyed, Commander Moon imagined herself breaking free and soon felt gravity pressing against her as she hit the ground with a hard thud. Groaning, she climbed back onto her paws and took a couple steps back. “Now that I gave the message, I’m going to leave,” she meowed quickly.
“Till we meet again,” Epic Supreme said waving. He then lowered his claws as he lowered his gaze. “Moonwing.”
