Thank you to those who finished Rambling Doom!
As you have probably noticed, this was a very experimental way in telling a story. However, as I finished writing this tale, it seemed that I was unintentionally creating an oddly structured poem. It was then I got the idea that I should maybe build on this. Not in the form of literature, but instead in the form of music!
If people like it enough, I'm looking to make an industrial metal concept album based on this story. I do know that I'm going to have to commission the music out to musical artist/s, but I need to find the ones who will best fit the sound and theme. I might have to research each potential choice across the internet - or I might go with the idea of holding a small contest and offer a small cash prize for the best song - then find ways to help them create the full album from there. Have to look into the specifics.
If you want updates on this idea, and let me know that you would be down with this idea, subscribe to this story and I'll post my progress.
UPDATE, November 8,2023:
The die has been cast!
After a tough process to finding the best musical artists for the album, the project is now a go!
I'll be working with a talented and resourceful musician named R.M. Cox. He was part of a now defunct industrial metal band known as Morphic Resonance, which you can find on Soundcloud still. Since our series of lengthy discussions, I am confident that his work will fit what I'm looking for nicely. It might take longer, but we aim to have the full album finished sometime next year at the soonest.
I am greatly looking forward to hearing what music will be made!
