Hearing Yna's unpleasant news left Daniel feeling down. When Yna hid in her room for the rest of the day, he spent his time helping by watching Adan. He knew how traumatic and upsetting it is to be fired suddenly from one's job. At the same time, he was frustrated that her boss had not done anything to understand her position. All he can do now is cheer her up while she plans to look for another job.

Daniel was sitting at his desk when one of his classmates called out. Julio was beside him, writing down some notes.
"Yo, Daniel, someone is looking for you."
Daniel turned around and saw Jong-In standing in front of the door. Julio was surprised to see him like everyone else in the classroom, all eyes on them. Daniel went to the door.
"Jong-In, what are you doing here?" Daniel said, a little surprised.
"Sorry if I interrupted you here. -" Jong-In handed a small bag. "I am just returning this to you, and thank you for helping me again." he shyly nodded.
"Oh, okay. Not a problem." Daniel took the bag.
Daniel looked at Jong-In's modest face while he nodded.
"Is it your break time?" Daniel asked.
"Yeah," Jong-In gave him a look that caught him off guard. Jong-In eyes were like Samuel's. It was a stare of kindness and tenderness.
"Ahm, do you want to grab lunch together? It's my break time anyway," Daniel hesitantly asked.
"Hmm, I don't mind." Jong-In brightened up.
"Ya! Daniel! What about me? Can I come with you?" Julio yelled out with a teased smile.
"Dude, your girlfriend is coming this way, so pack up, or you'll get another scold from her," Daniel smirked while Jong-In just looked at his expression.
"Let's go before these two come with us." Daniel held Jong-In's shoulder and gently pushed him as they went out. Jong-In was a little surprised. Little did he know that he was blushing.
They lined up at the cafeteria to order, after which they seated on the available table with their iced coffee and wrapped sandwich.
"I heard you transferred to our school during the summer break," Daniel asked while they ate their sandwiches.
"Yeah, it was late, but my parents were able to enroll me. It was a rush, but I managed to move in before the term started," Jong-In replied while focusing on eating.
"Is that so? Did something happen that you need to transfer in a rush?" Daniel bluntly said and wondered.
Jong-In flinched his lip and became silent. Daniel looked at him like he was scared to share or probably afraid to tell that something had happened to him in that school. Was he being bullied? Harrass? What else could he be hiding? These thoughts stormed Daniel's mind.
"Hey - you don't need to tell me. I know you have reasons. So, chill, and let's enjoy our lunch, okay?" Daniel smiled.
Jong-In looked at him as he pondered. He politely smiled and continued to eat.
Suddenly, two adults came standing behind Jong-In. They were not from their college. They were outsiders. They looked athletic from another University school. Both looked handsome and appealing.
"So - you transferred here?" a rough voice.
Daniel looked and saw Jong-In trembling in fear as he closed his eyes. Daniel looked at them with a furrowed looked.
"Jong-In, do you know these people?" Daniel asked and felt a sudden anticipation of protecting Jong-In in case. Jong-In looked tense, holding his sandwich without saying a word, but he needed to calm himself. They would not do anything to him since people were in the cafeteria.
The black-haired guy touched Jong-In's shoulders firmly. "Don't worry. We just came here to say, Hi. Do you remember? We have unfinished business, Jong-In."
Jong-In looked up at him. "Hyung, I have no more business with you. We already broke up. Why can't you just let me go." with a tense tone that made Daniel look surprised at what he heard and found out.
The guy whispered closer to his ear, yet Daniel could hear it.
"We are - far - from done, Jong-In. Do you think I'll let go of you that easily? Will transferring to another university help? Ya- Jong-In, you're tied up with me. So better be a good boy, okay." and tapped Jong-In left shoulder.
Jong-In got scared. The sweat slowly dripped from his right temple as he secretly glanced at Daniel with the look of someone asking for help.
Daniel, in his thought, "What the fuck is this guy doing? That made him so scared to deal with him. The guy looks controlling by the way he holds Jong-In's shoulder. That was a touch of a dominant, possessive man."
Daniel made a noise from his chair as he stood, taking their attention towards him.
"Sorry to interrupt, but we have classes to catch up. So if you don't mind, let him go." Daniel stared straight in the eye [intimidatingly]. The black-haired guy looked and smirked.
He let go of Jong-In, and Jong-In hastily stood up from his chair.
"Let's go, Jong-In," Daniel said while he acted nicely, but the guy and his friend cornered them.
"So, is this the new guy you are dating now?"
Jong-In got ashamed. "Min-Ho, please, just stop -"
"Why do you have a problem with that? Dating or not, it's not your fucking business, mate. So step aside." Daniel, in an angry soft tone, when Min-Ho's brow pinched in anger to see him holding Jong-In's hand.
"Daniel -" Jong-In softly said, seeing his angry face while holding his right hand tightly.
"Chill, dude -," he said. The two of them turned their backs, but Min-Ho waved.
"We are not done, Jong-In. I will see you again."
Daniel slowly let go of Jong-In's hand and looked at him.
"Is that the reason why you transferred?" Daniel asked, but Jong-In nodded with a shameful face. Slowly, Daniel reached his hand towards his hand and gently caressed it. Jong-In was stunned when he looked at Daniel's smiling face.
"Don't worry; anytime you need my help, just let me know. now give me your phone." Daniel opened his right palm. "Huh?" Jong-In was quite surprised. He took his phone and gave it to Daniel. Daniel exchanged their numbers and handed the phone back to him.
"Now, we're friends. So make sure you reply or answer my call. Got it?" Daniel smiled handsomely. Jong-In wondered but, at the same time, felt thankful for being saved again by Daniel.
They went back to the University to finish the remaining schedule of their classes.
