“Ugh…”
I groaned monotonously, slumping myself lifelessly on my couch while having a magazine, which I didn’t even know what I read from it, spread on top of my face. It was spring and the weather outside of my two room apartment is beautiful and all, but not my heart which was having it’s dry season.
I just got dumped.
Who would’ve known the moment I stumbled upon my fated partner was the moment my future fiance wanted to break up with me. I remember edhow relieved he looked when he heard me saying I had met my fated pair and just straight up telling me he wanted to break up with me because he was already seeing someone who is his fated pair. I heard that only 3% of the Alphas and Omegas get to meet their fated partner their whole life, so was it a coincidence to have an acquaintance who had also met their fated pair?
I groaned again, this time from hunger. I don’t feel like eating since the day he dumped me, which was yesterday evening, but if I don’t fill up my stomach with something, I might get a stomacache from an empty stomach. Although lazy, I dragged myself out of the couch, attempting to cook a cup ramen to at least satiate the unending growling of my stomach.
I sauntered to the kitchen cabinet and opened it to look for any cup ramen available. My kitchen cabinet is empty from any instant food. Since the start of my relationship with Sakurai, I refrained from eating instant food to take a better care of my body. Thanks to that, I was still being hit by other people; be it male or female because they said I looked gorgeous, despite me being a taken man.
“Was I that pretty?”
I took some time to inspect my facial features and body in front of the bathroom mirror, completely having my focus drift away from my original intention.
I have to admit, my complexion got better after I stopped eating instant food. Clear white skin, glass like blue eyes that reflected me inside them as I looked inside the mirror, healthy plump and pink lips, and also silky light brown hair. I then touched my arms and abdomen as I now started to inspect my body. I have a toned body, thanks for my three times a week jog in the morning and two times a week to the gym. I’m particularly proud of my own achievement that was able to give birth to such healthy body. But now that I have already broke up with Sakurai, I don’t have to take care of my body anymore—at least for now—as my initial reason for eating healthy and exercising was to impress him.
The sound of my growling stomach interrupted my private praising session. This is bad, even if I do praise myself and that makes me happy, praises won’t make you full.
Wait, what nonsense am I saying right now?
I exited the bathroom and went to the coat rack to slip into my caramel long coat. I planned to eat outside now that I have almost nothing inside the kitchen. The spring can be chilly sometimes and I don’t want to catch a cold. I went back to the kitchen after putting on my coat to check the fridge. Maybe I should also buy some food stocks for the week and some fresh ingredients. My eyes suddenly drifted to the aisle on the fridge’s door and spotted two bottles—one is my surpressant and another one is my supplement. I shook them both to check up on it’s contents.
“Oh, it’s empty.”
I muttered when I opened the surpressants lid to see it’s empty content. Meanwhile, there’s still a couple or two supplement pills inside the supplement bottle, though I’m still going to buy them both when I go out soon.
I grabbed my sling bag that contains my wallet and my phone before slipping it onto my shoulders and stepped outside the main entrance door of the house.
While making my way to the pharmacy first to buy my medicines, I whistled once in awhile while browsing the blooming sakura tree on the side of the road. My nose twitched sometimes when I passed through some Alpha strangers near me—as Omegas are able to detect the scent of Alphas in their surrounding, especially when their heat is near.
I sniffed a bit to avoid suspicion before taking out a face mask from my wallet, attempting to wear it so the smell of the Alphas won’t be able to numb my senses. I should probably drop by the pahrmacy and pop some suppressants inside my mouth before I went shopping.
My actions came to a halt when I smelled a scent, which, for some reason, intrigued me to smell it more. What is this scent?
Why did I like this scent so much?
I darted my eyes towards the surroundings as I tried to find the source, while also moving my head towards my left and right. The smell was so delightful that I couldn’t help seeking for it.
Don’t tell me, is this the start of a new romance for this lonely bachelor?
My heart fluttered happily when I imagined a dramatic scene where I laid my eyes upon the most elegant looking Alpha, who was the owner of the scent. When we met, I will make sure to ask for their name first and maybe invite them out for a drink or something. But first, I think I’ll need to consume some medicine so I won’t get knocked ot on our first night together-
I suddenly froze. The thoughts about me meeting an elegant looking Alpha whose scent I like immediately dispersed like the dust.
Well, in a sense, it was indeed a scent I like. But…
My eyes stared at the figure of a man who was wearing a casual outfit of a dark blue long coat paired with dark blue and white striped muffler. The clothes beneath his coat seemed to be a white vest, and he was wearing a pair of sneakers to match his black straight cut palazzo.
Man, what a fashionable guy.
Wait, that’s not what I’m talking about!!
What is the guy from yesterday doing here?!
