Note: This chapter is in Gabriels pov
I sprinted up the stairs, stopping when I saw a figure with a top hat standing in a doorway, looking like they were watching something in the room. Leondre stopped behind me.
“Careful, he can see us.” Leondre whispered in my ear as I got a switchblade from my pocket.
I silently walked up to the figure, holding the blade up. “Move.” I glared at him
The man swivelled around. I sensed danger, and swiftly stuck the blade in the side of his neck without thinking. The mans lifeless body fell and I walked past it, emotionless. I could feel Leondre staring at me. Idiot.
I looked at the room, the girl from earlier was inside, dragging Cassian. I felt some worry when I saw his arm was gone. “Let him go.” I stared into her eyes as she looked at me.
“Or what?” She answered, her voice was soft and innocent.
“What did you do to him?” Why do I care so much?
“Nothing.” She resumed dragging him across the room.
“Hey-” I walked over to her.
“You’re scared.” She observed, stopping again.
“What?” I panicked, I wasn’t scared, was I?
“Your hands.”
I looked down, my hands were shaking. Fuck.
“He really is bleeding quite badly..” She mused, observing Cassian.
“H-Help him..”
“Hmm..” She paused for a moment. “No thanks.”
“I said fucking help him.” I yelled.
