The darkest black isn’t in the color of her eyes
Or in her pupil
When she grows wide in surprise
The darkest black is in the night
That she spends alone in silence
Wish everyday she could die
Because it gets darker and colder
She's the light
Yet inside she is all but bright
She gives people her shoulder
And she seems to be quite afraid
Of what would happen if she got closer
But the darkest black seemed to be the castle
The darkest black had to be her mother
Or her father
She thought surely it can’t get darker
But as she returned everyday and slept every night
She would notice that the day before
There was a little bit more light
