Chapter 5
After Zavier had taken Kaine back to Sheila's office, he sighed as he drove to the Sunrise to Sunset Juice Bar and parked outside. His mother had even gone to the lengths of sending him money to bribe him into going on the blind date. Despite his reservations, he wasn't one to turn down free dinner at a decent restaurant, regardless of the company.
After entering, Zavier looked around for the woman that his mother had sent him a photo of. She was nowhere to be seen. Zavier frowned and was seated at one of the empty tables by a window.
The woman was supposedly named Libby, she had long straw-yellow hair and annoyingly bright pink eyes. Her eyebrows were strangely a mousy brown color, so Zavier assumed she dyed her hair and managed to forget the eyebrows. Her makeup was caked on, her lashes were giant, she wore a bright pink, rhinestone covered scanty dress that looked cheap. All of her accessories matched the ridiculous dress, not to mention, she looked like she was constantly about to break an ankle in the ridiculously flimsy heels she wore. She looked like she was about five foot and a half, if that. Zavier frowned, she was not his type at all.
"Perhaps she is busy." He told himself as he waited.
An hour went by and she never came. Zavier cursed under his breath and stood up with a pissed off look on his face. At that moment, the woman from the picture entered the building and walked up to him.
"Zavier, right?" Libby asked with an annoying smile on her neon pink tinted lips.
"Yes." He answered in exasperation; she sat down in the other seat and motioned for him to sit back down.
"Is something wrong, Zavier?" She asked with an innocent look after he didn't comply with her request, Zavier looked up from the table at her with an angry glint in his eye.
"Yes. There is." He replied bluntly, "You are over an hour late."
"Am I? I'm sorry, I was shopping with my friends." She replied insincerely with a flip of her yellow hair and Zavier sighed before slowly sitting back down. “So, what is your favorite designer brand?” Zavier raised his eyebrow at her question and looked at her crazy clothes that looked like they were falling into shambles.
“Whatever ones you aren’t buying I suppose.” He replied calmly and ran his hand through his black hair as he watched her response.
“Probably smart.” Libby replied with a nod, “I’m sure that my brands are too expensive for you.” She said in a snobby tone and it took most of his willpower to not punch her in the face or throw the table.
“Any hobbies?” Zavier attempted to turn the conversation in a new direction.
“Hmm, I like shopping.” Her pink eyes seemed to literally shine at the thought as Zavier stared at her with a weirded out look on his face. Libby was one of the most boring, shallow people he had ever met.
“Well, I have somewhere to go now.” Zavier told her and Libby quite literally jumped up and hooked onto his arm. While he was surprised that she hadn’t broken a leg in the process, he also wouldn’t have been mad if she had. “I’m not allowed to bring guests where I’m going.” Zavier informed her and she simply held on tighter,
“That’s fine, just don’t tell them I’m with you!” She exclaimed and as Zavier dragged her out of the juice bar with him, she started rambling about pink, sparkles, and money. After successfully getting outside, Zavier started the process of shaking off the giant, person-shaped leech on him. Following that struggle, he got on his hoverbike and turned on the safety shield feature, keeping Libby off of him and his precious vehicle. “Wait, at least leave me your contact information, I’ll save you in my wrist band!” She exclaimed, waving her glittery pink band in the air and nearly dropping it. Zavier shuddered at the thought of her being able to contact him and quickly started his bike.
