Cassian was attacking the younger looking Cassian, a familiar look on his face.
“Hey! Stop.” I ran over to him.
“Why?” He asked, pausing.
“Because-... What are you even doing? What is this place?”
“Why would I know?”
“Because you don’t seem confused? And who even is that kid anyway?”
“An idiot.” He started punching again.
So if thats himself.. What the fuck happened? I sighed. “Look, I don’t know what happened, but that kid looks like yourself and self loathing will get you nowhere, trust me.”
“Why would I trust you?” He stood up. “I wouldn’t be in this situation if it weren’t for you.” He walked past me, his eyes full of a familiar dangerous anger.
I looked down at the younger looking Cassian, he looked disturbed, horrified, as if he had just heard terrible news.
“You real?” Gabriel was on the other side of the room.
“Yeah.. What is this place?” I asked.
“No fucking idea but we should probably leave.”
“If we can leave that is.”
“Kind of pessimistic.”
“More realistic.” I looked around.
“Whatever you say.” He sighed. “Where’s Cassian?”
“I don’t know. He was punching that kid though.” I nodded to the younger looking Cassian who was still on the floor.
“But they can’t see us?”
“Yeah but apparently we can touch them.”
“Well that makes perfect sense, and why was he punching him?” He asked.
“Not sure but I think the kid is him.”
“What, like from the past?”
“Probably.”
“So we’re in the past?” His eyes lit up like he had an idea. “Being able to go back to the past could be so useful..”
“And also dangerous, especially in the hands of someone who hates themself.”
“Oh.” He paused, looking like he was thinking. “So you’re saying Cassian hates himself?”
“Probably.” I sighed.
“Why?” He asked.
“Why would I know?” I replied.
“Because.. Uh..”
“Well I guess ‘uh’ is a very good reason.” I nod wisely. “Well, lets work out what this place is.. I guess.” I sighed.
