Rhea would often explore the ocean. Pretending she was an explorer. Sometimes she would find treasures, sometimes she would find nothing. Today she found a man. The man sat on a piece of furniture. He looked at a box in front of him. Rhea found him interesting. What could have been on the box that he was able to sit here for hours watching it. Rhea loved to move around and explore. So he seemed weird to her.
Rhea would come and visit him after long days of exploring and finding nothing. She felt disappointed and would express that to the man. He was a good listener. Rhea wished he had a name. She tried to give him one but coming up with a name was hard. The man would just stay the man until she could think of a name.
One day Rhea came to show the man a treasure she had found. She had learned why the man would stare at the box for so long. It was something called a TV. Rhea had found a paper saying they could sell the TV. Where or to whom they would sell the TV to she had no idea. Besides the TV was something the man had liked so she wanted him to keep it.
The man started to feel too long for Rhea. “What is your name?” Rhea asked even though she knew he wouldn’t answer. The man didn’t like to talk much. Rhea sat next to him and laid her head on his shoulder. “Do you ever get lonely?” No response. “ Well I do. I think you might too, even though You’ll never say. “Being lonely can feel awful. If I can make sure others don’t feel that way. Then I’ll do that.” Rhea felt confident that she could do that much.
