“I have a question.” Young Ted asked Jay while following him on their campus. His hands were full with various sizes of bags.
Jay flashed his eyebrows to him for a yes.
“Do you like men?”
“What?!” Jay turned back in shock, to which Ted got startled.
“I mean to say, so why don't you end the series of these daily gifts by saying yes to one girl? It is not like you keep all these, you give them all to me. What should I do with them?” Frustrated Ted threw all the bags on the floor.
“Calm down. I thought you love chocolates, that’s why I gave them to you.” Jay prised Ted’s shoulders and then picked those bags one by one.
“I do. But they are too much.”
“Ok no problem. From now on we’ll… give these to them. Problem solved?” He pointed towards some vagrant people sitting on the road.
“But that didn’t answer my question.”
“No, I don’t like men. I like women. And I am already devoted to someone. That's why I cannot accept any of these girls. Happy?” Jay said. With his one hand on steering and other on the open window. There was a bright smile on his face throughout the way.
“Then who’s she? Is she someone from our university? Do I know her? How’s she?” Curious Ted bombarded his brother with his questions.
Jay laughed on his innocence before answering him. He found it funny how he leaned towards him for asking the questions. It showed that he was really interested in his life.
“She’s smile. She’s the embodiment of life and happiness.”
With the reply he brushed his hair out of affection, leaving confused Ted behind.
“Have you gone insane in love?” Ted screamed from behind.
“You will become insane when you fall for someone.”
While drinking coffee, Riya's co-workers are talking bad about her and Muskaan, which Riya and Ted overhear by mistake. Saddened by their words, Riya left without saying anything. Ted also followed her out of concern for her.
Riya was staring at the sky in the office garden of the building and was lost in some deep thought, and a voice from behind.
"Are you ok?" Asked Jay from behind. He felt a sense of compassion for her. So followed her till the terrace garden to console her.
Riya got startled with this sudden voice and she quivered. When she turned back it was him. She thought that maybe he’s here to mock her.
“I’m fine. What would happen to me? Don’t even think of making fun of me.” She pointed her finger towards him with the intention to warn him, out of innocence.
This gesture of hers, Ted found cute and affectionate, weirdly.
“I had come here to talk to you for the sake of humanity. I thought that maybe after listening to them you would be upset and would feel like talking to someone. But if you think that I have come to make fun of you, then I should lea-” As Ted turned he felt Riya grabbing his shirt sleeve with a pinch.
“If you’re not here to mock me then you can stay. I do feel alone.” With a pouty face she muttered slowly.
Even though he had a great urge of teasing her he controlled and stood beside her, leaning on the railing.
