Role Play.

Today, Inasuki-sensei summoned us into the classroom early and said she will have an announcement to tell us. 

  "Next week, this class will act on the stage, and you're going to act in Romeo & Juliet, and I allowing the scriptwriter to make or change some plot of the story. " Inasuke-sensei said. 

  And so, the classroom, filled with excitement. 

"So, Hikari-san, as the president here, I leave assigning each role," Inasuke-sensei said. 

  Therefore, Hikari walked into the front of the class and wrote the name on the blackboard. 

"Okay, let's list the stuff first. So, first is the scriptwriter?" Hikari said. 

  And so, no one raised their hands. 

I decided to take that role, I found that literature is my skill. 

"Asahi-kun will be the scriptwriter," Hikari said, putting my name on the blackboard. She looks happy maybe because I decided to take some role. 

  And so, this continued till we were assigning the role. 

"Time for the characters," Hikari said. 

"First Juliet." Suddenly the guys pointed out Hikari to be Juliet. And Shiina declined it, Shiina wants Hikari to be the director. 

  The guys glommed out about it. 

Suddenly Hikari mentioned Shiina to be Juliet. And yes, Shiina accepted the role. 

  This continued till the role of the nurse, and they assigned Sistine because Hikari is the director already. 

Therefore, some of my classmates have the role, and Shiina, and Sistine are the only two, I know who have the role of the characters. 

  And so, Inasuke-sensei, said Friday after class, and Saturday, is practiced. So, tomorrow is Saturday, we will go to school, and we will just prepare the decoration and the costumes. 

So, I headed to my apartment, I sat on my balcony, thinking about the script and what plot I would do. 

  After a few minutes of thinking, I didn't come up with any plot. 

And so, I start writing, without any plan, I just write what I thought. 

  I wrote the script, reject after reject, the sun set down I took a break, I brew myself a black tea, and headed back to my balcony, where when I was writing in the very first place. 

  As I was looking at the street, the quiet and lonely street, I was thinking about the script. 

I took a sip of my tea, suddenly I realized the ending of Romeo & Juliet that we watched. 

  And so, I sat down in my comfy chair, and so, I began to write the story. 

It took me an hour, and right now it passed 1 in the morning, I started at noon. And so, I messaged Hikari that I finished it. 

  Well, she will not rely on this kind of time, because it's not normal for a student to be awake at this kind of time. 

  And so, I went inside, and I ate a little because I forgot to eat something, after that, I went to sleep. 

  The day arrived, and I ironed my uniform, because Inasuke-sensei said to us, we can't get inside if we were not wearing our uniform. 

  Therefore, I walked to head to school. 

Hikari didn't see my message from her last night. 

  I arrived at the school grounds, and you can hear the students are excited today. 

  I walked inside my classroom. 

And yet, all of my classmate's enthusiasm is leaking. 

  Suddenly Shiina approached me to greet me. "Yahaloo! Asahi-chi, I didn't know you would come today, because I know your role needs to be solitude to find a better story." 

  And I replied to her. "Did Hikari-san arrive yet?" 

"Not yet." She said to me. 

  "Ah, I see, well I need to talk to her about the script," I said to her. 

I sat at the very behind of the classroom, I just watched them do their task. 

  A few minutes have arrived Hikari said

"Asahi-kun good morning." She said to me. 

  I greeted her back. "Good morning, did you read my messaged?" I asked her. 

And so, she said to me. "Message?" And so, she grabbed her phone and checked. And she saw my message, and she was shocked. "Ehh! You finished it already?" 

I said to her. "Well, it took me some time to come up with the script. I have it today, I want to discuss it with you, because you're the director, and I will just assist you." 

  And so, she became excited about what I said, her eyes were sparkling. "Really! Then let's read it now." 

  I said to her. "Sure, but let them know you will discuss the script with me, and ask someone to exchange positions for this time, I meet you at the cubicle." 

  "Okay, I see you there." She said to me. 

And so, I headed there first, I messaged Inasuki-sensei, if can I borrow the cubicle. And she agreed. 

  I arrived there, and Inasuki-sensei is waiting for me. 

"Yo, why do you need to borrow this room?" She asked me. 

  I replied to her. "I and Hikari-san will discuss the script." 

"Then I leave this room to you two, don't do something silly okay." She said to me and teased me. 

"I am not an immoral youth sensei," I said to her. 

She laughed at me. "Hahaha! It's a joke. Then I allowed you to use this." 

And leave me alone inside. 

  And so, Hikari arrived. 

I said to her. "Oh, take a sit." 

  She sits on the other side facing me. 

And so, I grab the notes in my bag and place them on the coffee table. 

  She grabbed it. "So, this is the script that they will act." 

"Yeah, please read it, till you finish it all, and tell me some stuff that you found hard to understand, or if it is a reject, it's fine," I said to her. 

  And so, she looks excited. "Then I read it now." And so, she opened it. 

As she was reading it, I said to her that I would grab us a drink, I went back, and she was still reading it seriously. I put the drink on the coffee table. "Here a drink." 

  And so, she didn't notice, because she was focused on reading. "...Ah, thank you." 

    Therefore, she continued reading it. 

As I was drinking my bottle of tea. 

  And so, she is done reading it, I didn't know what time she finished. And I asked her. "So, is it good or not?" 

  She said to me. "The Exposition, Rising Action, And Climax are the same. But you changed the Falling Action And Resolution. I think this is good because the ending is different. And yesterday, when I arrived home, I realized I know a lot of the class will change the plot, but not the ending, because of common sense." 

  "Then so let's settle this script?" I asked her. 

"Yeah, let's settle this. And let's start the practice of the characters." She spoke 

  And so, we're back in the classroom. 

Hikari explained the story. 

  They started practicing the script memorizing each line of their character. 

This continued till the day of the play. 

So we're on, the court filled with visitors and some of the parents of the students here. So, the first-year, representative is class 1, and second year is our class, the third year, is section 3, the fourth year is class 5, and the final year is the fifth year, class 1 is the representative, and we place at the last play. 

  And so, it continued till our class turned, and my judgment for the other representative's, different plot, same ending, that's the thoughts after I watched their play. 

  And so, all the characters get in their position, and, and Hikari is at the side of the stage watching them. 

    And so, it continued, when Romeo and Juliet meet, and how Juliet's father knows about Juliet, but the time came, the plot changed the ending. 

  -Juliet fakes her own death to not get married. - 

-But Romeo Didn't know about the plan, because the letter didn't reach to him. - 

  -Romeo walked down the stairs, and he saw Juliet's corpse laying inside the open coffin, with some flowers in her hands. - 

  -Romeo, walked towards Juliet, and he holds Juliet's hands. - 

And so, you can hear the crowds in sorrow. 

  And so were on, the plot that I made will begin. 

-Romeo let off o Juliet's hands, and so, he was holding a bottle of poison. He was thinking to kill himself. - 

And so, Romeo drops the bottle of poison, and walked away, as if nothing happened

  The whole crowd is shocked about what happened because the plot here is different than everybody, they think Romeo will drink the poison bottle. 

-Romeo walked away as if nothing happened. - 

-A few hours Juliet woke up, and she didn't see Romeo's waiting for her, all she saw is a bottle of poison on the ground, but no Romeo in sight. - 

  -Juliet took the poison to the ground, and so she drank all of it- 

The whole crowd was shocked about what had just happened. 

-And so, Juliet drops to the ground, and Juliet committed suicide, because of grief, betrayal, and sorrow. While Romeo walked out and found a new meaning in life. - 

  -Romeo continued living until he found a new love. He forgets Juliet and finds a new meaning to live until he dies at the very end. What Romeo learned, even if we lost the meaning that makes us continue to live, we must not dwell on it, what we need to do is to keep living, and face this meaningless. - Narrator said. 

  Therefore, the curtain dropped. 

And so, a bunch of applause. 

  At the backstage. 

"Amazing! Everyone!" Some of our classmates said. 

    And so, they celebrated backstage for the play, but the winner didn't announce yet, they are computing the result. 

  And yes, they announced the winner, it took a minute. 

"The winner! is Year 2 Class 6!" And so, the crowd applauded us, we all walked to the stage holding our hands, and so we bowed at the same time. 

  And so, Hikari has a speech. 

"Thank you very much for this award, now I should thank my members, and I should massively thank the writer. Without him, we will not win." She spoke. 

  And so, the Stage play has finished. 

We all got back to our classroom, and they all decided to go to the family restaurant, to celebrate. But I declined it, I was walking in the corridor, and at the end, Inasuke-sensei was waiting for someone. "Want to walk with me?" She asked me. 

And so, we were walking in the street together. 

  As we were walking together, she said to me. "Your story you made, is a bit shocking." 

And I replied to her. "Well, I just based it towards the absurd of life, the second truth." 

  "I like the narrator said about. 'While Romeo walked out and found a new meaning in life. Romeo continued living until he found a new love. He forgets Juliet and finds a new meaning to continue living until he dies at the very end. What Romeo learned, even if we lost the meaning that made us continue to live, we must not dwell on it, what we need to do is to keep living, and face this meaningless.' That sentence makes me have goosebumps." She said and sounded amazed. 

  "Well, I think that's true, every people in this world, if they lost their meaning to live, or they have been awakened from reality, they will feel hopeless, and they will think life is meaningless, sure like meaningless, but they dwell the meaningless, and will take their own life. And so, I think how we will not do that, is to face that, and rebel against it." I said to Inasuke-neesan. 

  "I see, well this is my way." She said. 

And so, we separated. 

  Therefore, I headed back to my apartment, and my phone was notified as I was cooking my food. 

  -Good Job Asahi-kun!- Hikari messaged. 

And so, Sistine, Kaeda, and Shiina messaged me. 

  I smiled as I was looking at their message. 

As I said, I don't have any meaning to live right now, that's why I still thinking about taking my own life, but I forget it, because I am alive, and I am experiencing something. And that makes me delighted.
