"Huh?" Rejire looked at him.
"Who are you..." Juablo muttered.
"R-Rejire..! From your class... and dorm..." he looked away.
"Oh yeah! You look kinda different though." he scratched his chin.
"It's my Singularity." Rejire jumped out of the water, sitting on the side of the deck which surrounded the lake. "I look w-weird."
"No! I think it's kind of interesting!" Juablo walked over, sitting next to him and smiling nicely.
"Did you train already?"
Juablo shushed him. "I still have an hour left, Amigo. Shhh, don't worry about that."
"Mmm-" Rejire shook his head, slowly closing his eyes. Juablo quickly took notice. "Gaah!" Rejire raised his voice, before jumping into the water.
"This is awkward." thought Juablo. "I should probably-"
Rejire's head popped out of the water again. "S-Sorry... I wouldn't forgive myself if I fell asleep again."
"Oh come on, Rejire! Everyone loves sleeping!"
"N-No..." he moved his head down, as the water covered his mouth, yet his voice was still clear. "I h-hate it. When I'm out of the water, even for a few seconds, then I-I'm sleepy... and b-bubbly..." he spun around.
"A good meal always fixes everything." Juablo closed his eyes.
"I-It's not something I can control..!" Rejire raised his voice slightly, before moving back. "W-Why does nobody understand..."
"Eh, what do ya mean?" asked Juablo.
"M-My dad said I'm just lazy, but I can't control it... I feel s-so guilty."
Juablo's expression quickly changed, as he looked back at his friend.
"Y-You think it's weird, don't you..? Y-You probably don't believe me either..."
"Nah," Juablo responded. "I believe you."
"You don't-"
"If it isn't something you can immediately fix, why would you be lying about it, eh? Some people just tell the truth through their actions, Amigo." Juablo added.
Rejire's eyes lit up. "I-I want to tell others... that I'm m-more than that."
"Well..." Juablo rubbed the back of his head, closing one eye. At the surface of the water, something started rumbling, which caught Rejire's attention. He quickly swam up to it.
All of a sudden, a water dragon rose, much to Rejire's shock. However, he took immediate action, swimming up its back, without hesitation and any problems.
"Wow... amazing," noted Juablo.
At the dragon's mouth, Rejire jumped off, flipping in the air. Then he opened his eyes, which started shutting by themselves, without his control.
Juablo squinted his eyes, sticking out his tongue. From the side, a fire dragon appeared, heading towards Rejire.
"Aah! Ah!" Rejire yelled, panicked and shocked, before falling into the water.
"The way you swam... it was..." Juablo couldn't speak. He simply smiled.
"I-I want to participate in the Sports' Day competition... but, t-there are many parts where I'd have to jump out of the water... w-what you did just n-now!" he looked at Juablo. "I didn't fall a-asleep!" he got a bit red.
"You thought the dragon was hurling towards you, which kept you awake, huh? I have no clue what this sleeping thing might be, but we'll overcome it, no matter what, Amigo," added Juablo, clenching his fist.
"Mm!" Rejire nodded his head. "I want m-my dad... no... I want everyone to see that I can do it!"
"Exactly! Head towards the chocolate, even if someone were to break your legs!" Juablo raised his voice.
"K-kind of a weird comparison..." Rejire looked away.
"Rejire feels guilty for something he can't control, huh?" thought Lievpad, putting his hand on his hat. "I know this feeling way too well."
On some other day, Lievpad was in the middle of the second hour of personal training.
At this point, he effortlessly created basketballs, which fly up high into the sky at fast speeds, all with different smells. One reeking of strawberries, the other of some type of gas.
"Heh.. heh..." Lievpad breathed out, extending his arms.
"How long are you going to repeat that move, Lievpad?" asked Mari, standing nearby.
"Until I can feel satisfied with what it does," he responded.
"Satisfied with what? Lievpad, you can create much more with these. It's like an encyclopedia of orbs. At this point, I think you're nearing perfection." Mari added, fixing his glasses.
"I want to become stronger..."
"How many times will you repeat that, Lievpad?" asked Mari.
"Eh?" Lievpad was a bit shocked.
"You keep saying that, but why do you want to become stronger, Lievpad? For what, or whom? Is this just an empty goal, to reason your stubbornness in training?" Mari continued asking, as Lievpad started sweating. "You've been training the same thing for about a month."
Lievpad turned away, looking forward, and sticking his hand out.
"I also... thought about..." muttered Lievpad, as energy started flying towards his fingers, forming an orb. It kept becoming bigger and bigger, much to Mari and Lievpad's shock.
In a snap, an exercise ball was created, which bounced off the ground a few times. Lievpad looked at it.
"At least it's something new." Mari smiled lightly. "Lievpad, don't overwork yourself if it's not worth it." he waved. "I'll go check up on others."
As Mari walked away, Lievpad looked at the scar on his palm. All of a sudden, he saw images in his head, reminding him of the accident. He clenched his fist. He stopped seeing anything. "If I don't look at it, what am I fighting for? I can't change the past." he closed his eyes, before breathing out. "I obtained my Singularity for a reason." he stuck his hands out again, as his lip shook.
During a history lesson. The classroom had ten different tables and chairs, which created a half-circle around two boards. All of the students had headphones, which played audio of a recording, matching what was written on the presentation.
Next slide, the words echoed through their headphones, informing the students about an upcoming history project. Juablo slammed his face against the desk.
As he moved onto the next board, Daruma signalled the students to take their headphones off, planning to write down the details. However, he quickly noticed that there were no markers he could write with. He looked to his right, picking up a paper and quickly moving his pen around on the sheet. He walked up to Lievpad, putting the paper on his desk and looking him in the eyes.
'Go downstairs to the candle classroom and get the markets, please.' the note wrote.
"Alright." Lievpad stood up, walking towards the door.
"I'll go with him!" Juablo raised his hand, standing up in a millisecond, and following him.
Daruma shook his head.
"I wonder why the teacher never speaks?!" Paula asked, loudly. Daruma shrugged, walking towards the board.
"Heh, I guess it's a secret," Rico added.
"SECRET?!!!" Paula raised her voice.
Lievpad and Juablo stood in front of the door to the classroom. Both were sweating nervously.
"A-Amigo, why don't you open the door?" asked Juablo.
"For some reason, I have a really bad feeling about this." Lievpad continued. "Isn't the C-1 Class having lessons here?"
"I doubt they're having candle making classes since Daruma is up there... by the way, have we ever seen anyone from C-1?"
"No clue."
"Ah... thank God that candle making isn't obligatory. I'd die." Juablo added.
Lievpad breathed in, opening the door.
Before him, stood a student, with colourful glasses, and a smile on his face. Behind him, a fire has started. "Hi!" The student waved.
Lievpad slammed the door shut. "We'll just say that there were no markers-"
The door opened again. "Markers! We've got them!" The guy yelled, running around the classroom. A scream could be heard in the background. Juablo and Lievpad started trembling.
"Here! We modified them a bit, hehe!" he winked, handing the markers to Juablo. "I'm Chinapi by the way! My gadgets are truly the... best!" he smacked his lips. "HAHAHA!"
"CHINAPI! YOUR INVENTION..!" A girl yelled in the background.
"Is it that awesome?!" he winked, turning. "OH GOD, IT'S ON FIRE!".
Lievpad slammed the door, as tears rolled down his cheeks.
The two were walking through the corridor.
"Never again," Juablo added.
Lievpad looked at the markets. "Should this be beeping?"
"Eh?!" Juablo turned around, instantly. "Lievpad, get away-" he stuck his hand out.
All of a sudden, the marker created a small explosion, leaving Lievpad and Juablo covered in ash.
Juablo coughed. "Never again." agreed Lievpad.
Lievpad and Juablo remained markerless, but the project was still due, either way, with three groups. Paula, Lievpad and Juablo in one, Ben, Leira and Rico in the second, and Rejire, Chogi, Marta and Nivel in the last one.
Chogi was jumping through the forest, grabbing onto branches, before eventually falling, and hitting the grass. "Ooh..." he breathed out, raising himself with his arms.
The capuchin monkey walked up to him, with something in his hand. "Woo! A goeppertia flower!" his eyes lit up. "Phillip, thank you, but I won't improve like this." he breathed out, saddened. "Seriouslyimgoodfornothinglikewhyareyouevenherephillipimsuchadissapointment!!!" he raised his voice.
All of a sudden, Chogi heard a branch cracking nearby. "Huh?" he turned his head.
Paula jumped out from behind a tree. "Chogi!" she stuck her hands out.
"AH!" Chogi yelled. "PHILLIP, RUN! IT'S THE CRAZY ONE!"
Chogi started running through the forest, with Phillip jumping from branch to branch. At one point, Chogi jumped over a log.
Paula hit her leg on the same log and stopped for a moment.
Chogi ran around where Paula was, jumping up on the slopes and stepping on the moss. For a moment, he stopped. "Ooh! A Virginia blue fern..." he admired the flora in front of his eyes. "So pretty... Ah!" he looked around, before running forwards. "Spider web! Gah!" he moved his hands around, scared.
Phillip stopped, looking at him nearby, concerned.
"Got you!" Paula appeared from nowhere, turning back from a gas into a solid.
"Nooo! Phillip! Save yourself!" Chogi continued. "She's gonna dissect you and kill you!!!" he was terrified.
Paula put her hand on Phillip's tail.
"NOOOOOOOO!" He raised his voice.
"Alright! Theory confirmed!" Paula stepped back.
"Huh?" Chogi turned around.
